Abstract

Representasi merupakan alat untuk membangun dan mengomunikasikan ide dan pemahaman matematika. Translasi merupakan komponen penting dalam proses pemecahan masalah terutama ketika siswa diminta untuk menentukan persamaan garis dan menggambarkannya. Penelitian eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan tujuan menggambarkan proses translasinya secara alami. 42 siswa SMP kelas VIII terlibat dalam penelitian ini, dan 15 siswa berada pada kategori kemampuan rendah. Subjek dipilih berdasarkan siswa kemampuan rendah yang mampu berkomunikasi dengan baik, yaitu ARD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam mengubah representasi aljabar ke grafik melibatkan dua metode berbeda, yaitu representasi simbolik terlebih dahulu baru menuju representasi grafik. Representasi simbolik digunakan ARD pada proses unpacking source, preliminary coordination, construction the target, dan determination of equivalent. Sedangkan representasi grafik digunakan ARD ketika mengonstruksi masalah target sesuai dengan keinginan dari masalah.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that math is less desirable by students. This is due to lack of knowledge of the teachers in implementing the learning by using the methods in the abstract explanation. Then, the students only know how to calculate the numbers and not fully understood about the use of mathematical material itself. This research aims to provide information for the teachers in order to better understand the usefulness of mathematics material. Then the teacher is able to show the function of mathematics, especially mathematical logic, and the theacher will further enhance student’s motivation in learning mathematics. The research method used in this research is the study of literature, namely by reviewing, researching and investigating and studying the scientific works presented in the form of books, paper, or papers that are relevant to the research topic. Abstract

Thematic study is an activity of an intregrated learning. Activity by intregrating various kinds of a learning materials in one theme so that it can give valueble experience to the students. The activities in this thesis describes the way of right brain and left brain work. This theses is done in the third classes of Elementary School with the "Kesehatan (Health)" theme. The subthemes which are developed are "Cleanline", "Healthy life", "Healthy food", and "Healthy Body". The target that will be reached through this theses is to describe the right and brain work at the time of thematic learning process. The population of this theses is the third class students of Goverment Elementary School Kalisari II Surabaya, while the samples are ony the student of 3B class. This study (research) is descriptive qualitative research. The model of developing lesson plan use the model that is developed by kemp which has nine components : deciding the theme, students characteristics analyse, learning goals, deciding the materials, deciding the pre activities of learning (pre activities), teaching activities, aditional tools, evaluationn, and revision. The techuqe of collecting data in this theses is none test and lest. None test is used to classyfy (to group) the students into, two groups these are the groups of student who are night brain dominant and the group of student who are dominant on the left brain by using questionairs, and to ralidate the learning validation tools, tools on the other hand test technique is use to know the result of the study. The result of learning test is used to know the mastery work on the right and left brai. From the result of thestudy it is know that 86% ofthe number of the student learning are all done. So it can be concluded that thematic learning can balance the work of right brains and left brains.

Abstract

Setiap anak dilahirkan memiliki berbagai kecerdasan dalam tahapan dan indikator yang berbeda. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semua anak itu cerdas, perbedaannya terletak pada tahap perkeembangan  anak dan indikator kecerdasannya. Kecerdasan yang dimiliki oleh setiap individu tersebut harus dikembangkan untuk memecakan masalah dalam kehidupan pada masa yang akan datang, salah satunya adalah kecerdasan logis-matematis. Kecerdasan Logis matematis pada intinya adalah kecerdasan yang menyangkut kemampuan matematis dan ilmiah yang meliputi operasi matematis dan pemecahan masalah serta penalaran berpikir logis. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan beberapa guru PAUD di Desa Gondang yang dilakukan oleh tim Dosen Pendidikan Matematika Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya, diperoleh informasi bahwa berkenaan dengan usaha untuk menumbuh kembangkan potensi anak di Desa Gondang, maka penting untuk melaksanakan kegiatan workshop pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan melatih kecerdasan logis matematis melalui permainan tradisional engklek, permainan engklek dipilih karena di Desa Gondang sedang menggalakkan permainan tradisional untuk memperkenalkan, melestarikan, sekaligus meningkatkan  kecintaan terhadap warisan budaya bangsa dan nilai-nilai luhur yang terkandung didalamnya. Dari hasil kegiatan pelatihan PKM ini, diperoleh feedback dari Bunda Paud berupa informasi bahwa anak-anak usia dini menjadi lebih aktif dalam bermain, karena pola/bentuk dari permainan engklek tidak pakem, maka Bunda Paud dapat mengganti pola/bentuk dari permainan engklek, sehingga menjadikan anak-anak tidak bosan, dan anak-anak pun jadi memahami pola-pola bangun datar yang lain.Kata Kunci: Anak Usia Dini; Engklek; Kecerdasan Logis matematis

Abstract

Students' mathematical communication is a mutual method of various mathematical inspirations that are learned and clarified through understanding. Communication of mathematical ideas can be used as objects of reflection, and can be replaced, can be improved, and can be discussed. This study intends to identify students' communication ability in terms of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. This qualitative descriptive study involved 25 students of class VIII-C in SMP 17 August 1945 Surabaya. The instruments used in this study include a learning style questionnaire, mathematical communication test, and interviews. The result is that students' mathematical communication ability in terms of auditory learning styles are capable of indicators express known information and asked information, using mathematical icon, drawing shape, and planning get solution. Likewise, students' mathematical communication ability in terms of visual learning styles can be in indicators express known information and asked information, then planning get solution. On the other hand, students' mathematical communication ability in terms of kinesthetic learning styles are capable of indicators express known information, planning get solution, and conclude.

Abstract

The research was conducted in students’ mathematical problem - solving skills and there are many students who have difficulty learning mathematics. This is due to the teacher - centered learning. Efforts that can be made to the learning process in the classroom can improve students ' problem - solving skills by selecting and using the relevant learning model. One such relevant learning model is the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) learning model. The research problem was formulized in "is there any influence of the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) learning model to the mathematical problem - solving skills of SMP students?". This research aims to determine the influence of CMP learning model to the mathematical problem solving skills of grade VIII SMPN 12 Surabaya. The research method was plied in quantitative methods. Research samples were acquired by two classes with random sampling techniques consisting of experimental classes and control classes, each as much as 37 students. Analysis of the data used in this study is test-T. The results of the study using the test-T showed that there was a influence of the CMP learning model of students learning outcomes of class VIII SMP Negeri 12 Surabaya year 2019/2020 of The System Material of Two-Variable Linear Equations (SPLDV). In addition, students’ mathematical problem solving capabilities include understanding the problems in the experiment class higher than the control class.

Abstract

Schools that carry out distance learning, or better known as online, should be more able and accustomed to following the development of Multimedia technology. However, it turns out that this does not necessarily apply to all schools that carry out learning through online media. From the results of direct interviews with teachers and headmaster at SMKN 1 Jetis Mojokerto, it was found that teachers still had difficulties in using multimedia for the learning process, and students also felt uninterested in participating in online learning activities, so that the tasks given by teachers are also ignored by students. This is very troubling considering that online learning is a must in this pandemic era. Based on these problems, Based on these problems, PPM Lecturers of the Mathematics Education Study Program need to carry out PPM activities with the theme is "Multimedia-Based Distance Learning Management Workshop for Teachers of SMKN 1 Jetis Mojokerto" this aims to provide assistance to solve problems for teachers of SMKN 1 Jetis Mojokerto related to evaluation of distance learning game-based using the Kahoot and Quizizz applications. Abstract

Creative and innovative learning media is one of the factors that affect the quality of education that needs to be developed along with the development of digital technology. In this regard, it is necessary to have learning media that can attract students' interest in learning so that the learning atmosphere is more comfortable and fun. In addition, the use of learning media in the teaching and learning process at the same time shows the teacher has made plans in carrying out teaching in the classroom. So that this service activity can provide an overview or additional information related to game-based learning media. The implementation of the service is carried out through three stages, namely: (1) the planning stage; (2) training stage; (3) evaluation of program sustainability. Based on the Community Service Activities carried out, it has succeeded in opening the insight of the teachers of SMP PGRI 1 Buduran Sidoarjo, especially regarding multimedia-based learning media in the form of interactive games. Based on the results of the program evaluation, the majority of teachers were very happy with the training activities carried out. These activities provide an overview and new knowledge related to learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills in the climber category. Subjects in this study were selected based on the results of the ARP test. The techniques used in this study were tests and interviews with climber students who were selected from class VII junior high school students. For data analysis, the Miles and Huberman method was used. The results of this study are climber students are able to fulfill all the established mathematical communication indicators. Climber students are able to express real objects, situations and everyday events in the form of mathematical models (in the form of pictures, tables, diagrams, graphs, algebraic expressions), explain ideas and mathematical models (in the form of pictures, tables, diagrams, graphs, expressions algebra) into spoken or written language, Explain and create mathematical questions being studied, Listen, discuss, and write about mathematics, and Make conjectures, construct arguments, formulate definitions and generalizations.

Abstract

Kesulitan mahasiswa dalam mempelajari materi perkuliahan menjadikan prestasi belajar dan daya juang mahasiswa tingkat akhir program studi Pendidikan Matematika menurun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengidentifikasi kemampuan mathematical resilience dan menganalisis efektivitas teknik biblioterapi dalam mengembangkan mathematical resilience pada calon guru matematika. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode pre-experiment design. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika di Universitas PGRI Adi Buana dengan jumlah 84 mahasiswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala mathematical resilience dan soal ujian matematika yang disajikan dalam 3 paket soal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan uji komparasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan matematik calon guru matematika dalam kategori sedang dan tingkat kemampuan mathematical resilience pada kategori sedang juga dengan persentase 50%. Penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa teknik biblioterapi dapat mengembangkan mathematical resilience calon guru matematika secara signifikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu pemberian teknik biblioterapi dapat meningkatkan mathematical resilience 17,8% dan diharapkan untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat menambah rekomendasi teknik konseling lainnya dalam mengembangkan mathematical resilience pada calon guru matematika.The students learning difficulty in the course material makes the learning achievement and fighting power of final year students of the Mathematics Education program decrease. The purpose of this study to identify the ability of mathematical resilience and analyze the effectiveness of bibliotherapy techniques in developing mathematical resilience in prospective mathematics teachers. The research approach used in this study is quantitative descriptive with pre-experiment design method. The subjects of the study were students of the mathematics education program at Universitas PGRI Adi Buana with a total of 84 students. The research instruments used are the mathematical resilience scale and mathematics exam questions presented in 3 question packages. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with comparative tests. The results showed the level of mathematical ability of prospective mathematics teachers in the medium category and the level of mathematical resilience in the medium category also with a percentage of 50%. This study also proved that bibliotherapy techniques can significantly develop the mathematical resilience of prospective mathematics teachers. The conclusion of this study is that the provision of bibliotherapy techniques can increase mathematical resilience by 17.8% and it is expected that further researchers can add recommendations for other counseling techniques in developing mathematical resilience in prospective mathematics teachers.
