Abstract

One of the strategies of educational finance management is how to be supported by society or the stakeholders of school. Through many experiences of how society has helped the development of its countries, it is realized that social capital is an important thing to be identified and managed by school. There are some aspects of social capital which can be informed to helping the management of school finance, and some ways to linking the society into being helpful community to create sufficient finance and arrangement of budgeting in school. Moreover, it is necessary to improve the leadership skill and relationship ability of the principal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembentukan iklim sosial-akademik di Asrama Mahasiswa FIP UNY. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berupa prototipe model pembentukan iklim sosial-akademik yang dapat dikembangkan secara fleksibel oleh pengelola layanan akomodasi bagi mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa iklim sosial akademik di kedua setting penelitian secara umum dipersepsikan positif atau baik oleh para penghuninya. Meskipun dengan demikian pada kasus kedua ditemukan catatan khusus berkaitan dengan fasilitas, interaksi lintas budaya, dan sistem pembinaan serta pengasuh.  Selain itu upaya pengelola rumah susun mahasiswa di kedua setting telah mengarah pada pembentukan iklim sosial akademik namun masih perlu dipertajam. Adapun aspek-aspek yang menjadi tinjauan dalam model pengembangan iklim sosial-akademik di rumah susun mahasiswa meliputi penghuni, pengasuh, sistem pembinaan, fasilitas dan organisasi.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce a product in the form of a web-based school climate information system. The design of this study uses a combination of research and development (R dan D) with design and development (D dan D). The development of a school climate information system involves various education stakeholders in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Province, especially at the high school / vocational level and the equivalent. Based on the results of the trials conducted in two stages in two different schools in Gunungkidul Regency, the website-based school climate measurement information system is feasible to be used and applied especially at the high school and vocational level. The use of the school climate web can help school principals identify school situations and on the other hand school people are directly involved in the process of improving their schools by providing an assessment of their school climate. This system should be disseminated and disseminated to schools in a wider scope. However, there are special notes in terms of users, especially parents. Of all the elements of the user, parents have limited use of the website because of barriers to internet literacy and uneven access. Therefore, especially for parents, it is recommended that the use of this instrument be combined with manual instruments so that parents can still participate in measuring the school climate.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan menghasilkan produk berupa sistem informasi iklim sekolah berbasis web. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan kombinasi antara research and development (R dan D) dengan design and development (D dan D). Pengembangan sistem informasi iklim sekolah melibatkan berbagai stakeholder pendidikan di Kabupaten Gunungkidul Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta khususnya pada jenjang SMA/SMK dan yang sederajat. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang dilakukan dalam dua tahap di dua sekolah berbeda di Kabupaten Gunungkidul, sistem informasi pengukuran iklim sekolah berbasis website layak digunakan dan diaplikasikan khususnya pada tingkat sekolah menengah atas dan kejuruan. Pemanfaatan web iklim sekolah dapat membantu kepala sekolah mengidentifikasi situasi sekolah dan di sisi lain warga sekolah terlibat langsung dalam proses memperbaiki sekolahnya dengan memberikan penilaian tentang iklim sekolahnya. Sistem ini patut didiseminasikan dan disosialisasikan kepada sekolah-sekolah dalam lingkup yang lebih luas. Namun demikian terdapat catatan khusus dari segi pengguna khususnya orangtua. Dari kesemua unsur pengguna, orangtua memiliki keterbatasan dalam memanfaatkan website karena hambatan literasi internet dan akses yang belum merata. Oleh karena itu, khusus bagi kalangan orangtua, direkomendasikan agar penggunaan instrumen ini dipadukan dengan instrumen manual agar orangtua tetap dapat berpartisipasi dalam pengukuran iklim sekolah.

Abstract

Untuk menjadi research university, salah satu yang dapat dilakukan perguruan tinggi adalah memperkuat dan memperluas fungsi laboratorium jurusan. Karakteristik jurusan pada rumpun ilmu sosial yang berbeda dari ilmu eksak berdampak pada sifat kegiatan laboratorium yang berbeda di antara kedua bidang tersebut. Perguruan tinggi dalam hal ini perlu mengubah paradigma tradisional terhadap laboratorium ilmu sosial. Selain penguatan fungsi laboratorium, perluasan juga dapat dilakukan sehingga lab tidak sekedar menjadi teaching/learning lab, namun juga ranah penelitian dan pengabdian pada masyarakat. Laboratorium selayaknya juga mengakselerasi distribusi pengetahuan kepada publik melalui aktivitas-aktivitas ilmiah yang terprogram. Dalam hal ini penyelenggaraan kegiatan laboratorium perlu didukung bukan hanya fasilitas namun juga administrasi, dokumentasi dan publikasi. Lebih dari itu, pengoptimalan laboratorium jurusan harus disokong dengan kebijakan perguruan tinggi yang memadai dan perluasan mitra oleh jurusan.  Key words: laboratory, higher education

Abstract

The Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) has been determined as pandemic causing schools around the world to be closed. This research aimed to observe the constraints of remote learning in rural areas during the Covid-19 pandemic. This quantitative research involved 280 parents in a rural area of Magelang city, Indonesia. The samples were chosen by using the proportional area random sampling technique. The research data were analyzed statistically and descriptively. The research results show that time allocation and parents’ academic capability accompanying children were the most challenging factors. Moreover, many children have emotional issues while doing assignments at home. Related to school, curricular information to parents and the supply of learning facility assistance were insufficient. Also, the most prominent problems in the role of parents in assisting children in learning were parents’ limited time and their low academic ability which should be considered by policymakers.

Abstract

The teacher's job characteristics are pretty challenging. It is widely known that teachers need extra commitment and work beyond their duties. This research aims to describe the OCB level among teachers in the Special Province of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The study was conducted using quantitative research with a descriptive analysis technique. 97 high school teachers were involved in the study. The questionnaire employs a rating scale with a Likert scale style. The instrument of the OCB scale is developed based on the modification of the grounded research conducted by Shaheen et al. in 2016. The results show that the average score of OCB teachers attain is 80.32. There, 17.52% of teachers had a total score under 75, and 8.25% obtained a score higher than 90. Teaching etiquette and showing empathy are the most OCB performed by teachers, followed by the teacher's approach to students.  Even though the general scores in each OCB factor are pretty good, it can be found that the most suffering dimension of a teacher's OCB is in the teacher's social awareness. Tingkat perilaku kewargaan organisasi pada guru sekolah menengah atasKarakteristik pekerjaan guru terbilang menantang. Diketahui secara luas bahwa guru membutuhkan komitmen ekstra dan bekerja di luar tugasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat OCB pada guru di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik deskriptif. Sejumlah 97 guru SMA dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini. Kuesioner menggunakan skala penilaian dengan gaya skala Likert. Instrumen skala OCB dikembangkan berdasarkan modifikasi grounded research yang dilakukan oleh Shaheen et.al pada tahun 2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor OCB yang dicapai guru adalah 80,32. Terdapat 17,52% guru dengan nilai total di bawah 75 dan 8,25% di antaranya memperoleh nilai total di atas 90. Etika mengajar dan menunjukkan empati merupakan OCB yang paling banyak dilakukan oleh guru, disusul dengan pendekatan individual guru kepada siswa. Walaupun skor umum pada masing-masing faktor OCB cukup baik, namun dapat ditemukan bahwa dimensi OCB guru yang paling lemah adalah kesadaran sosial guru.

Abstract

This study highlights the previous studies of eco-literacy learning in the lower grades of elementary school (grades 1-3) using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The data was obtained through Google Scholar, Garuda, and Science Direct. The data analysis protocol was the PSALSAR framework paired with the PRISMA protocol. The literature sources were derived from Google Scholar (644), Garuda (10), and Science Direct (65). Of the 719 literature sources, six met the inclusion criteria. The findings of the analysis were divided into three aspects: (1) the content of eco-literacy learning, (2) the methods of eco-literacy learning, and (3) the media of eco-literacy learning. This SLR study identified a research gap for future study and practical implications. For future study, key areas include researching its impact on children's cognitive and emotional development and investigating how schools manage eco-literacy resources using anthropological approaches. It is also suggested that researchers look into societal practices that influence students' environmental behaviors, teachers' science literacy, and the development of environmental education curricula. Additionally, R&D in collaborative strategies for developing eco-literacy content targeted to early-grade learners is highly suggested. The development of particular assessment methods for eco-literacy outcomes is also required. As practical implications, improving teachers' STEM abilities and organizing suitable outdoor learning areas are critical for effective eco-literacy teaching.

Muhammadiyah Elementary Schools in Bantul face significant challenges in adopting productivity technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) for administrative tasks due to limitations in staff knowledge, infrastructure, and concerns about data security. To address these issues, a Community Service Program (PkM) was implemented to enhance administrative staff competencies through targeted training and mentoring. The program, conducted from June 13 to 20, 2024, at SD Muhammadiyah Tamantirto, involved 29 participants. It featured seminars, practical training, and hands-on mentoring focused on the application of productivity tools and AI in administrative workflows. Key activities included website development, data organization, and practical skill-building sessions, reinforced by pre-tests, post-tests, and participant satisfaction surveys to evaluate learning outcomes. The program successfully improved participants' ability to utilize modern technologies, fostering innovation and increasing administrative efficiency within the schools. The initiative highlights the potential for structured training and mentoring programs to overcome barriers to technology adoption in educational settings, contributing to the overall quality of school management and service delivery.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan latar belakang, pemanfaatan, dan manajemendalam penyelenggaran website sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studimultikasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakanwawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan modelanalisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan sebagai berikut. Pertama, latar belakangpenyelenggaraan website sekolah adalah kondisi persaingan antar sekolah, kesadaranperlunya menjalin komunikasi dengan pihak eksternal, keberadaan fasilitas dan SDMpendukung, dan pelaksanaan model belajar interaktif, mandiri dan jarak jauh berupae-learning. Kedua, pemanfaatan website sebagai media humas dengan mengemas isi pesandan tampilan dengan memperhatikan karakteristik sekolah untuk membangun imagepositif. Ketiga, manajemen tenaga pengelola website dalam rangka mendukung fungsikegiatan husemas masih diwarnai oleh hambatan SDM dan pendanaan bagi kompensasi,ketiadaan deskripsi tugas yang jelas, dan evaluasi yang belum menyeluruh.Kata kunci: website, humas, manajemen sekolah, dan e-learning
