Abstract

This study aimed to improve understand the result study by using problem based learning of SMAN 8 Bengkulu. The study applied lesson study activity.  It can be concluded that by using problem-based learning in the form of lesson study activity can improve student’s activity and student’s learning outcomes in SMAN 8 Kota Bengkulu. Based on this research, it can be suggested for the teachers to develop lesson study activity to fix learning quality in order to improve their profesionalisme.Keywords: problem based learning, lesson study, learning result

Abstract

Problem-solving is one of the competencies in the learning innovation that students must possess to prepare life challenges in the 21st century. This study aimed to improve student problem-solving ability and cognitive learning outcome through the implementation of problem-based learning (PBL) model in learning biology at the senior high school. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest and posttest design. Two classes were chosen randomly from five classes of 10th-grade students for conducting research by implementing PBL and direct instruction learning models as an experiment and control (conventional) class, respectively. The problem-solving ability was measured by the essay test as well as the cognitive learning outcome at the end of the research and was analyzed by t-test. The result showed that students in the PBL class have a higher improvement in problem-solving ability. The student ability to problem-solving in the PBL class was also significantly higher than the conventional class. In addition, students in the PBL class have a higher cognitive learning outcome than the conventional class. This finding indicates that the PBL model can be implemented in the learning practices, especially in biology, to develop the problem-solving skill of students.Problem-solving is one of the competencies in the learning innovation that students must possess to prepare life challenges in the 21st century. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model through the manufacture of bioplastic preserves on the creative thinking skills of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Lebong Utara. The method used in this research is Quasi Experiment with Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The results showed that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model through bioplastic preserves could improve students' creative thinking skills with a value of 95 and an average of 79.19%. In conclusion, there is an effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model through the manufacture of bioplastic preserves on the creative thinking skills of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Lebong Utara. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the PjBL learning model through Google Form on students' motivation at MTsN 1 Bengkulu Selatan. This research method uses a Non-Randomized Control-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results showed that the average value of learning motivation in the experimental class was 75.96, while in the control class is 47.87. The p-value obtained is 0.000. In conclusion, using the PjBL model through Google Form significantly influences student motivation than conventional learning. Keywords: Google Form, Learning Motivation, PjBL

Abstract

Background: Prospective teachers are less able to formulate high-level questions, so that the skills of teachers to formulate high-level questions are still lacking, even though it really determines students' critical thinking abilities. This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in students' ability to formulate high-level questions through the discussion-comparison method 1,2 with critical analysis of articles in the Biology Education Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Methods: This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with four cycles. Results: The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to formulate high-level questions of students through the discussion-comparison method 1,2 with critical analysis of articles in the Biology Education Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Bengkulu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa pada pembelajaran biologi dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) melalui google classroom menggunakan mind mapping di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-eksperimen yang melibatkan satu kelompok yang diberi perlakuan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain pre-eksperiment one group pre-test-posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester VI Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu yang berjumlah 34 orang. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji paired sample t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar kognitif pada mata kuliah fisiologi hewan dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) melalui google classroom menggunakan mind mapping.

Abstract

Lumut (Bryophyta) adalah sebuah divisi tumbuhan yang hidup didarat, umumnya berwarna hijau, berukuran kecil. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan lumut (Bryophyta) pada berbagai substrat di Desa Pasar Melintang Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Pasar Melintang Kota Bengkulu, yang di laksanakan pada tanggal 7 November 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey eksplorative yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan dengan mengadakan pengamatan langsung terhadap spesies lumut dilapangan. Hasil penelitian Jenis tumbuhan tumut (Bryophyta) pada berbagai substrat yang ditemukan tergolong kedalam 7 famili dan 7 spesies. Jenis lumut yang ditemukan berada pada substrat terestrial (tanah, batu) dan arboreal (kulit pohon). Terdapat 6 spesies lumut terestrial yaitu Andreae sp, Pohlia flexuosa, Fissidens sp, Brachythecium rutabulum, Pohlia flexuosa dan Riccia sorocarpa. Sedangkan lumut arboreal terdapat 2 jenis, yaitu Lejeunea laetevirens dan Taxiphyllum sp. Sebaran lumut terbesar terdapat pada substrat batuan dengan jumlah 4 spesies. Distribusi sedang ditemukan pada tanah dan kulit kayu masing-masing 2 spesies. Distribusi terendah pada substrat kayu lapuk karena tidak ditemukan lumut sama sekali.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas pembelajaran daring berbasis google classroom selama pandemi covid 19 melalui minatdan hasil belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 02 Bengkulu Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling (pengambilan sampel secara acak sederhana), sehingga sampel pada penelitian ini siswa  kelas XI MIPA 3 dan XI MIPA 4 yang berjumlah 65 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran daring berbasis google classroom efektif diterapkan saat pandemi covid 19 di SMA Negeri 02 Bengkulu Utara.  Kesimpulannya  pembelajaran daring dengan memanfatkan media google calassroom efektif diterapkan selama pandemi covid 19 di SMA Negeri 02 Bengkulu Utara. Kemudian google classroom dapat digunakan sebagai alternative media pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran tidak hanya pada masa pandemi covid-19 namun juga pasca pandemi karena aplikasi yang mudah diaskes para peserta didik pada saat sekarang.

Abstract

Penerapan lesson study yang telah dilaksanakan oleh banyak sekolah dan perguruan tinggi di Indonesia dan banyak negara lain dengan dampak yang relevan terhadap peningkatan profesionalisme guru dan kualitas pembelajaran siswa. Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu dirasakan dapat meningkatkan kualitas perkuliahan. Oleh karena itu Direktorat Pembinaan SMP Kemendikbud menjadikan LSLC sebagai salah satu program yang telah diinisiasi di delapan kota di Indonesia, salah satunya Kota Bengkulu pada tahun 2019. Hal tersebut mendorong tim lesson study FKIP UMB untuk memperluas kegiatan lesson study di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu. Lesson study ini dilakukan pada kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dengan tujuan untuk mendiseminasikan kegiatan lesson study kepada seluruh guru di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu sehingga memperoleh pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang baik dan panduan yang jelas dalam implementasi LSLC di kelas. Metode yang digunakan dengan menghadirkan narasumber untuk memaparkan materi dan praktek langsung kegiatan LSLC. Hasil Peningkatan Profesionalisme Guru Melalui Diseminasi LSLC Di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu mampu 1) Meningkatkan pemahaman guru di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu mengenai konsep, prinsip, dan praktek LSLC 2)Meningkatkan sifat kolegial dalam memecahkan masalah dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, perbaikan materi pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran, interaksi guru-siswa, interaksi siswa-siswa, media pembelajaran yang menarik, dan peningkatan budaya belajar di kalangan siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of character education in learning biology in Genetic Engineering material at State Senior High School 7 Bengkulu and see what efforts are being made by teachers and schools to instill such character education. This research is qualitative description research with 29 research subjects as grade XII students. The instrument used was in the form of a questionnaire and several interview questions. The results showed that the picture of biology learning character education in Genetic Engineering material in State Senior High School 7 Bengkulu had begun to be embedded but still needed guidance to be more focused on understanding the concepts, impacts, and application of genetic engineering techniques because teachers had not fully applied the teaching methods of character education in class. The picture can be seen in the observation data, questionnaires, and interviews of honest, disciplined, democratic, communicative, and creative values that have begun to develop. Caring, responsibility, and sociality are well entrenched. Independence is still very much needed to be considered while religious have begun to appear. In an effort to create character education attitudes that will be the basis for dealing with scientific and technological progress, the school has also implemented a number of support programs to improve or train character education attitudes
