Abstract

InKedung Cowek, Bulak, Surabaya City, the fisheries’s wives have low participation informal organization. This is an irony because besides they are majority in population,also the function of those institutions are to bring the better life condition of society,it’s hard to achieve if the society arround them is not involved. This research wants toanswer the question: what factors that influence the rate participation of fisheries’swives in formal organization.The research uses descriptive qualitative methods withindepth interview, observation and documentation in collecting both of primary andsecondary data. The research result shows that the factors that influence the fisheries’wives in formal organization are limited education and skill of them. Beside that,limited skill only on fisheries make them enable to work in fisheries sector, not others.This condition is worst by the local culture that positioned them in domestic affairsthan outside and the double roles as wives as well as workers and it’s difficult for themto participate at public sector.Keywords: participation, formal organization, double roles, domain public, domaindomestic

Abstract

The state civil apparatus as the government administrator, service, and development is required to have adaptability in the 4.0 era, especially in organizing population administration service to explore the task skills of the state civil apparatus in the Department of Population and Civil Registration in Sampang, East Java, Indonesia. This study uses descriptive qualitative with interactive model data analysis techniques (Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, 2014: 8). Meanwhile, the theoretical study of task skills Fleishman, et al. (1991) include; knowledge dimension, the apparatus does not master the standard operating procedures that have been set by the Department of Population and Civil Registration; physical agility dimension, most of the apparatus only "know" how to operate a computer, and they are the expert; The interpersonal capacity dimension of the apparatus still does not have good interpersonal skill, as can be seen from public complaints regarding the attitude of the apparatus that is considered less friendly and communicative; Meanwhile, the dimension of intellectual ability level of creativity, innovation, problem solving in completing task demands are still not optimal, such as in manual services. They tend to apply the old pattern, so that the employee work target is not achieved

Abstract

This research aims to determine how the management of tourism object Surabaya zoo which includes: Planning, Organizing, Directing and Supervision. Management of tourism objects is expected to perform good management considering this object tourism is an icon of Surabaya City. This research uses a good management theory according to George R.Terry (2010) which consists of planning, organizing directing and supervision. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This results of this research is that the management is well done enough and because of the nine indicators only six that have been good. These indicators are: goals, plans, jobs, employess, leadership, and relationship, while the other three indicators such as coordination is good enough. These are motivation and supervision are still lacking. This research suggests that the management of Surabaya Zoo to be better supervision and to be more improved again.

Abstract

Yang menjadi mitra dalam Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini ialah Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) Kerupuk ikan di Desa Kalanganyar, Kecamatan Sedati Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Yang menjadi masalah mitra adalah (1) Pengemasan yang menggunkan plastik biasa dan belum adanya merek; (2) Pemasaran yang masih mengandalkan pesanan dan dititipkan ke toko. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah (1). Mengenalkan pengemasan yang menarik, higienis dan mencatumkan merek, serta (2). melatih pemasaran secara online. Tujuannya UMKM bisa melakukan pengemasan lebih menarik dan ber-merek serta online marketing yang bisa menjangkau wilayah di luar Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Metode yang digunakan ialah melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan ke UMKM tentang pengemasan dan online marketing. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menilai kemampuan UMKM dalam pengemasandan online marketing. Hasilnya adalah UMKM Kerupuk Ikan sudah memiliki pengemasan produk dan PIRT. Mereka juga bisa melakukan online marketing, mulai dari menawarkan produknya, menjawab pertanyaan konsumen sampai melakukan transaksi. Dampaknya ialah pendapatan UMKM meningkat meskipun kecil. Adapun yang menjadi faktor pendorong kegiatan Penmas ialah UMKM Kerupuk Ikan mau mengikuti setiap program dan melanjutkan hasil pelatihan, sementara penghambarnya mereka belum terbiasa menggunakan media sosial secara rutin. Oleh karena itu ke depan, perlu adanya pendampingan secara berlanjut.

Abstract

AbstractThe Teaching Campus Program is part of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM)policy program which aims to move towards the success of national education and assistteachers and principals in the implementation of learning activities in the midst of the Covid19 pandemic. One of the elementary schools where MBMK takes place is SDN Wonokerto 3,Wonosalam, Jombang, East Java. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectivenessof the implementation of the MBKM Program for Teaching Campus Batch I. The researchmethod used was descriptive qualitative approach. The data collections were observations,interview, documentation, and literature studies. The analysis in this study was based on thetheory of program effectiveness according to Campbell J.P. (1989). The results of this studyshow that the teaching campus program has not been effective in implementation. This wasseen from (1) the success of the program, (2) the success of the target, (3) satisfaction withthe program, (4) the level of output and input, and (5) the overall program had not beenachieved optimally. This research recommends to improve facilities and infrastructure, andspecial assistance for teachers to support the process of teaching and learning activities inschools.Keywords: Effectiveness, Campus, Teaching, Jombang

Abstract

The community in this village still adheres to a patriarchal culture where men are the main authority in the family. Most parents in this village also assume that a woman's job is to take care of her husband and children and to do housework. A woman is required to be able to cook, clean the house, wash clothes and so on. It is also not uncommon for parents to refuse to continue their children's education to a higher level. This research was conducted to analyze and describe gender equality in West Klampis Village, Klampis District, Bangkalan Regency. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The focus of this research is gender equality in terms of the theory of liberal feminism by Mary Wollstonecraft and Marxist feminism by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that in liberal feminism, women experience inequality in education that is not equal to men, while in Marxist feminism, there is a class between wives and husbands in the household, where a wife's class is reproductive while a husband's class is productive.

Abstract

Kampung Lawas Maspati, which is located on Jl. Maspati, Bubutan District, Surabaya City has many achievements. Kampung Lawas Maspati also has a historical icon and local wisdom that is still maintained. The people of Kampung Lawas Maspati implement a community based tourism destination. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the application of community-based tourism of Kampung Lawas Maspati in Surabaya City. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The theory uses the Community Based Tourism (CBT) theory according to Suansri. The results of this study show that the application of community-based tourism in the development of Kampung Lawas Maspati is still not successful, because there is still no regeneration in managing Kampung Lawas Maspati into a tourist village. Kampung Lawas Maspati has been good and has become an independent and more developed Village. Beside that, the community benefits from the development of Kampung Lawas Maspati, Surabaya.

Abstract

The Generation Planned Program (GenRe) is a government policy that is responsible for overcoming population problems. It is one of the government's efforts in carrying out population development, in order to support Indonesian youth to be more visionaire. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Generation Planning program (Genre) of the East Java Province BKKBN in Kenjeran District, Surabaya City and what factors support and hinder the implementation the program in Kenjeran District, Surabaya City. This study used qualitative research methods. The data used are primary and secondary data. The data that has been processed is then presented in the form of a description, then interpreted or interpreted to be discussed and analyzed qualitatively, then to draw a conclusion. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it is known that the implementation of the Generation Planning Program (GenRe) in Kenjeran District, Surabaya City has been going quite well, although there are still factors that hinder its implementation in the field. This is found in the interpretation aspect in which the understanding of the target group is not comprehends. They don’t feel the benefits of the existence of the GenRe program. It is causes by the impact of the program cannot be felt instantly, and requires a long period of time. In this case the researcher provides recommendations for the government institutions involves need to improve communication in the form of direct counseling and by utilizing social media.

Abstract

The women's cooperative in Kalanganyar Village, Sedati District, Sidoarjo Regency is currently not running optimally. From the survey results it is known that Cooperatives are financed by the government and before the Pandemic had various activities including Savings and Loans. However, with Covid 19 in 2020, these existing activities stopped. After examining several institutional problems that arise in the Cooperative, namely. Cooperatives do not have effective management, doctrine, programs and extensive cooperation. Cooperatives do not have harmonious communication with the Kelurahan. The solutions offered are. Introducing cooperative institutional development by rearranging management in the organizational structure, jointly agreeing on doctrines and programs and building cooperation. Hold a meeting with the municipality. The goal: revive the existence of the Women's Cooperative. The method used is through socialization, personal approach, deliberation and assistance to the management of the Cooperative and the Kelurahan. Evaluation is carried out by looking at the development of the Women's Cooperative in carrying out its program. The result is that the Women's Cooperative is more open in formulating new management, agreeing on doctrines, programs and cooperation with external parties. The next step is to carry out ongoing assistance and monitoring.

Abstract

Mewujudkan masyarakat pesisir dengan pengetahuan yang berkualitas merupakan tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Beberapa pekerja di Kebun Pak Inggih menerima pendampingan untuk berlatih mengenai komunikasi bahasa dan perhotelan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan, pelatihan komunikasi bahasa memperbaiki cara pekerja berkomunikasi dengan pengunjung, mengubah cara berbicara menjadi teknik yang efektif dan tepat untuk menyambut dan membimbing pengunjung. Pelatihan perhotelan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan yang telah diterapkan yang selama ini dilakukan tanpa memperhatikan prosedur perhotelan. Hal ini dikembangkan untuk mewujudkan pekerja yang handal dalam melayani pengunjung di Kebun Pak Inggih. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran bahasa dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dalam hal penyambutan tamu, cara berkomunikasi dalam pelayanan penyajian makanan dan minuman, serta pelatihan pengetahuan perhotelan untuk membekali masyarakat agar lebih terampil dan berpengetahuan.
