Abstract

Arts and culture journalism in Indonesia faces major challenges in the era of digital transformation, which is characterized by the lack of regeneration of journalists, the dominance of digital algorithms, and economic pressures that shift the focus of news from the substance of art to entertainment. This research aims to analyze the main challenges in the regeneration of arts and culture journalists, understand the impact of media transformation on art reporting, and offer strategic solutions for the revitalization of arts and culture journalism. Using a case study-based descriptive qualitative method, data was collected through in-depth interviews with senior cultural arts journalists and founders of digital art news platforms, as well as document analysis and literature reviews. The results show that the main challenges include a lack of economic incentives, the dominance of social media algorithms that prioritize popularity over depth of analysis, and low institutional support for the cultural arts rubric. However, revitalization opportunities can be realized through digital technology-based approaches, creative strategies such as the integration of pop culture and lifestyle, and collaborations between the media, art communities, and educational institutions. This study emphasizes the importance of applying encoding/decoding (Hall) and gatekeeping (McQuail) theories in understanding the paradigm shift in cultural arts journalism in the digital era, as well as offering a strategic framework to create a relevant, inclusive, and sustainable art journalism ecosystem.

Abstract

Background: Indonesia’s pursuit of Universal Health Coverage through Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) has faced sustainability challenges, prompting reforms in provider payment systems. Specific Background: The introduction of a mixed-methods model combining Indonesian Case-Based Groups (INA-CBG) and global budget represents a pilot effort to stabilize hospital financing. Knowledge Gap: While national-level reports highlight variability in implementation outcomes, evidence from individual hospitals remains scarce, limiting understanding of operational challenges in different contexts. Aims: This study examined the implementation of the mixed-methods pilot project at ‘Aisyiyah Purworejo General Hospital, focusing on budget allocation, distribution mechanisms, and discrepancies between projections and actual claims. Results: Findings revealed recurrent mismatches between projected budgets and realized claims, driven by declining patient visits, delays in efficiency measures, limited specialist availability, and redistribution of service volume across hospitals. Mid-term utilization reviews reduced the hospital’s budget from IDR 8 billion to IDR 6 billion, with both deficits and surpluses observed across quarters. Novelty: Unlike previous studies, this research highlights the absence of zoning-based patient control and the non-imposition of expenditure risks, offering unique insights into hospital-level dynamics. Implications: These findings inform future health financing policies, particularly regarding risk-sharing models and sustainability of mixed-method payment reforms under JKN. Highlights: Budget projection often mismatched with actual claims due to service shifts. Utilization review reduced hospital budget, revealing financial volatility. No zoning control and no-risk scheme shaped hospital-level outcomes. Keywords: INA-CBG, Global Budget, Health Financing, Hospital Management, Mixed Methods

Abstract

Congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV), or true clubfoot, is a foot deformity. The incidence of CTEV varies depending on race and gender. Traditionally, surgical intervention has been the treatment of choice for CTEV at a considerable cost. The Ponseti is a CTEV treatment method that does not use surgery and anesthesia. Instead, it uses gentle manipulation to correct the deformity. It is also more affordable than surgical treatment. Therefore, this study aims to explain the Effect of CTEV Treatment Costs with the Ponseti Method on Patient Quality of Life at Siaga Utama Orthopedic Hospital. This study uses quantitative methods. This study used a retrospective study with a sample of CTEV patients at Siaga Utama Orthopedic Hospital from February 2022 - February 2023. The author examined the effect of CTEV treatment costs on quality of life (QALYs). The results showed that the cost of treatment with the onset method positively impacted the patient's quality of life. The cost of treatment with the Ponseti method proved to be cheaper. However, it can vary depending on many factors, such as location, type of disease or condition, the severity of the situation, and so on. In addition, the Ponseti method is time-consuming and requires specialized skills from the therapist to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

This research attempts to use Black-Schole-Merton (BSM) model based on market approach to predict default probability of publishing bank in Indonesia. This is done by using stock prices and financial report. In this effort, this study estimates the neutral risk and default probability for the publish bank. The result showed that option model can predict default status more with accurate event long before default information was published for public. It can be studied from the case of Bank Century that has been imposed as a failure bank, in which it is known as bailout bank by the Indonesian government. The model does not only provide the ordinal ranking for the bank sample but also the good early warning prediction for the public. The probability estimation based on the option model can be an innovative model to measure and manage credit risk on the future for predicting probability default in Indonesia.

Abstract

Hospital financial failure means bankrupt in economic point-of-view. While from the patient care perspective, it can compromise healthcare delivery and deliver possible harm due to substandard services. Leveraging digitalization and information technology can significantly enhance financial management, improve efficiency, and ultimately support sustainable healthcare services. This bibliometric analysis through Scopus database. Retrieved articles were examined based on annual publication numbers, contributing countries, subject areas, authors, and cited documents. Visual analysis was done using VOSviewer to provided insights into word co-occurrence in clusters and R Studio's Bibliometrix package was employed to identify the most contributing countries and the most cited publications. The analysis on total 429 articles revealed that healthcare and activity-based costing is an emerging trend, with a growing number of publications each year. The United States emerged as the leading country in this research area, though other nations also contributed significantly. Medicine was identified as the most common subject area. VOSviewer analysis identified seven clusters related to the topic. Activity-based costing has evolved to accurately assess product costs in changing business landscapes, particularly in healthcare, where it helps optimize profits. The findings indicate a growing awareness of the importance of financial management in sustaining healthcare services globally. However, the study's reliance on a single database and lack of a comprehensive systematic review limit its scope, potentially excluding relevant research from other sources.
