Abstract

The mathematics teaching materials used by teachers today are still printed teaching materials provided by the government. As a result, it is ineffective to improve students' learning outcomes because they seem discouraged and bored while learning. Thus, it is important to design teaching materials that utilize technological developments so that they are easily accessible to students to learn mathematics anytime and anywhere. This study aims to design a valid E-Module with an Open Ended approach based on Gambyong Dance Ethnomathematics on grade VIII SPLDV material. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) research methodology with the ADDIE development model which is limited to the analysis, design and development stages. The data analysis techniques used include needs analysis, media expert validation analysis and material experts. This study produced an E-Module design along with the results of E-Module validation from media experts with an average assessment of 3.5 which is classified as a valid category and material experts with an average assessment of 3.6 which is classified as a valid category. The average combined E-Module assessment from media experts and material experts obtained a score of 3.54 in the valid category. This shows that the E-Module design is feasible to be tested on students during math learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of ethnomathematics in mathematics education in Indonesia using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The SLR method was selected for its ability to provide insights into research trends and various approaches used to integrate local culture into mathematics education. The research procedure includes formulating relevant research questions, searching articles from scientific databases, selecting articles based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and evaluating the quality of selected methodologies. An analysis of 50 articles published between 2018 and 2024 reveals that ethnomathematics research in Indonesia can be categorized into four main variables: publication year, education level, sample size, and research approach. The main findings indicate a dominance of qualitative approaches, with a focus on cultural characteristics in mathematics education and the development of culturally-based learning media. Most studies were conducted at the middle and high school levels. This study highlights the importance of integrating local culture into mathematics education to deepen students' understanding. However, further research is needed on the development of learning media and the diversification of research methods to enhance a comprehensive understanding of the impact of ethnomathematics

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan aktivitas Pembelajaran Matematika dengan menerapkan Project Based Learning berbasis lingkungan kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Semarang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TSM SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Semarang yang berjumlah 21 orang siswa. Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan oleh peneliti berdasarkan model Lesson Study yaitu Maskur dan Mutaqin yang terdiri perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan (do), dan refleksi (see). Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak siklus 2 pertemuan. Hasil dari pertemuan pertama diperoleh nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh 68,66% yang masuk dalam siswa dikategorikan kualifikasi sedang. Pada hasil pertemuan kedua terjadi peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh 78,57% yang dikategorikan siswa kualifikasi tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Project Based Learning berbasis lingkungan mampu meningkatkan aktivitas siswa secara signifikan.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran yang diterapkan selama ini dinilai membosankan bagi siswa dikarenakan minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang interaktif. Akibatnya kegiatan pembelajaran menjadi kurang efektif sehingga berdampak pada menurunnya hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada, maka perlu dirancang media pembelajaran yang sejalan dengan era perkembangan teknologi yaitu penggunaan video pembelajaran interaktif. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang video pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Etnomatematika Tari Gambyong yang valid. Penelitian ini mengadopsi metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang hanya berfokus pada tahap analisis, desain, dan pengembangan. Teknik analisis data yang diterapkan adalah analisis kebutuhan, serta analisis validasi dari ahli media dan ahli materi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan desain video pembelajaran interaktif yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli media dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 94% yang tergolong sangat valid, dan oleh ahli materi dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 94% yang juga tergolong sangat valid. Berdasarkan penilaian tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa persentase rata-rata gabungan sebesar 94% tergolong sangat valid. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran interaktif yang dirancang layak untuk diujicobakan kepada siswa selama proses pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

STEAM learning is an approach which integrates multidisciplinary knowledge while enriching students' skills to explore, try, ask, find, and build innovation, namely science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We found that the learning resources of STEAM in Yogyakarta is very limited due to lack of knowledge about it. On the other hand, using local contexts as the starting point of learning is also important to foster character building. This preliminary research aims to provide insight on the teachers’ awareness on STEAM learning and textbook, as well as the design we figured out after discussing it with the teachers. It was a descriptive qualitative research involving 214 primary school teachers. We collected the data through questionnaire and focus group discussion. The results suggest that STEAM is quite a new concept for most of primary school teachers in Yogyakarta. Not many teachers used to or have developed the STEAM learning resources, especially the one integrated with the character building. Therefore, a STEAM textbook needs to be developed to fulfill the need. Furthermore, the design of the textbook could have the characteristics of integrating all components of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics), starting from local context to develop characters, improving creative and critical thinking, having knowledge and skill assessment, and using project-based learning model.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to determine whether the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can enhance students' problem solving skills on the topic integral in class XII-10 of SHS 4 Semarang odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. This research was conducted in two cycles, encompassing four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class XII-10 of SHS 4 Semarang. Data were obtained through a problem solving ability test. Based on the research and analysis conducted, it was found that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has a positive impact on improving the problem solving skills of students of class XII-10 of SHS 4 Semarang in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. This is evidenced by a significant improvement in problem solving skills between Cycle I and Cycle II. In the first cycle, the average score for problem solving skills reached 75.87, but in the second cycle, this average score increased to 87.50. Thus, the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve students' problem solving skills.

Abstract

One of the mathematical skills that students must master is the ability to reason mathematically. However, in reality, this skill has not yet been fully mastered by students. This study is a classroom action research conducted over two cycles at SMA Negeri 11 Semarang. The subjects of the study were students from class XII D-1. The purpose of this study are to describe the process of implementing mathematics learning through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by GeoGebra as an effort to improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities and learning engagement in class XII D-1 on the topic of ellipses at SMA Negeri 11 Semarang, to determine the improvement in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in class XII D-1 on the topic of ellipses after mathematics learning through the Problem Based Learning model assisted by GeoGebra, and to determine the improvement in students' learning engagement in class XII D-1 on the topic of ellipses at SMA Negeri 11 Semarang after the implementation of mathematics learning through the Problem Based Learning model assisted by GeoGebra. The results of the study indicate an improvement in students' mathematical reasoning abilities and learning engagement

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of the pre-cycle in class XI-2 of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang which showed that mathematical representation ability was relatively low with average mathematical representation ability test score of 45 with classical completion percentage of 19% and self-confidence level in moderate category of 49.75%. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of PBL assisted by quizizz to improve mathematical representation ability and self-confidence of class XI-2 students of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research is classroom action research with three-cycle design that includes the planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The indicator of the success of this research is percentage of classical completion of mathematical representation ability test results is 80% reaching KKM 70 and average self-confidence is at least at 75% or very high. The results of this study are the percentage of pre-cycle completion is 19% increasing in cycle I to 55.6%, in cycle II to 69.4%, and in cycle III to 80.6%. While the percentage of pre-cycle self-confidence questionnaire data is 49.7%, in cycle I to 69.14%, in cycle II to 73.53%, and finally reaching 78.08% in cycle III with very high self-confidence category. It can be concluded that implementation of PBL assisted by quizizz can improve the mathematical representation ability and self-confidence of class XI-2 students of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah sangat penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari karena memungkinkan seseorang untuk menghadapi tantangan secara logis dan efektif, dalam konteks pendidikan, khususnya matematika, kemampuan ini diasah melalui latihan berpikir kritis, analitis, dan sistematis dalam menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis literatur mengenai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dalam soal-soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) yang telah diterbitkan dalam lima tahun terakhir. Permasalahan utama yang muncul adalah rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa ketika menghadapi soal-soal HOTS. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi, strategi pembelajaran yang efektif, dan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dipengaruhi oleh aspek kognitif dan non-kognitif, termasuk pemahaman konsep matematika dasar, motivasi, kepercayaan diri, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Pembelajaran berbasis inovasi, seperti Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) dan pembelajaran kontekstual, terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menghadapi soal HOTS. Selain itu, pengembangan kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi internal juga memainkan peran penting. Pendekatan holistik yang mencakup penguatan pemahaman konsep, variasi metode pembelajaran, serta dukungan emosional diperlukan untuk membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang bermanfaat dalam akademik dan kehidupan nyata.
