Abstract

Background: This research examines the influence of Smart Tourism Applications on tourists' Behavioral Intentions in Aceh, with Destination Image as a mediating factor and Information Search Behavior as a moderating variable. Method: Using a quantitative approach, the research surveyed tourists who used smart tourism applications during their visit to Aceh. Results: The results reveal that the Smart Tourism Application significantly influences Destination Image, positively affecting tourists' intention to visit or revisit the destination. Furthermore, the destination image is a key mediator that links the Smart Tourism Application to tourists' behavioral intentions. However, Information Search Behavior did not significantly enhance the connection between the application and tourists' behavioral intentions. This indicates that the quality of information offered by the application plays a more critical role in influencing tourists' perceptions and building their confidence. The practical implication of this study is the need to optimize smart tourism applications to support Aceh's Syariah-based tourism by providing comprehensive information about local culture, halal facilities, and religiously guided tourism. Conclusion: This research contributes to the literature on technology in tourism, particularly in religious and cultural destination contexts, and offers insights for developing more effective destination marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Islamic values on domestic tourists’ intention to visit Aceh, with place identity as a potential moderating variable. Aceh’s strong Islamic character positions it as an attractive destination for Muslim tourists from Sumatra. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 119 respondents via questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Findings reveal that Islamic values have a significant positive effect on visit intention. Place identity also positively influences visit intention, but does not moderate the relationship between Islamic values and visit intention. These results indicate that Islamic values serve as a primary motivator for domestic tourists, while place identity exerts an independent effect on visit intention. Keywords: Islamic values, visiting interest, place identity, halal tourism, Aceh

Abstract

This community service program was implemented by lecturers and students if STIE Eka Prasetya in Pematang Johar Village, North Sumatra, in response to the underutilization of local products (various rice, duck egges, tempe, and its derivatives, batik, and recycled crafts) for creative economic development and sustainable tourism. The program aimed to empower the community by strengthening entrepreneurial capacity, product innovation, and the use of local wisdom as the identity of a creative village. The approach used included workshops, participatory training, business mentoring, and hands-on digital marketing practice over one month. As a result, local producers improved product quality and variety, enhanced design and packaging, began using social media for promotion, and developed a better understanding of a basic business management. This program demonstrates the important role of higher education institutions in knowledge transfer and in supporting the development of creative, locally rooted village economies.

Abstract

The development of fintech and e-commerce in Indonesia has triggered a transformation in consumer behavior, one of which is through Paylater services that provide instant access to financing. However, in Aceh, these services are inaccessible due to the implementation of Aceh Qanun No. 11 of 2018 on Sharia Financial Institutions, which requires all financial activities to be based on sharia principles and prohibits the practices of usury, gharar, and maisir. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the Qanun on Sharia Financial Institution and the protection of Muslim consumers in the context of fintech and e-commerce development, with a focus on the case of ShopeePay Later restrictions. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing a literature study and regulatory analysis. The findings indicate that the restrictions on ShopeePay Later in Aceh represent not only the enforcement of local law but also a strategy to safeguard Muslim consumers from non-Sharia financial practices. These results confirm that the Qanun on Sharia Financial Institution functions as both a legal instrument and a mechanism for securing Islamic values in digital transactions. Furthermore, this regulation encourages fintech and e-commerce innovation to deliver Sharia-based products, so that consumer protection does not become an obstacle but rather an opportunity.
