Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan bahan ajar model pembelajaran ALID padamateri jaringan tumbuhan kelas XI SMA N 7 Surakarta. Bahan ajar model pembelajaran ALIDdisusun seiring dengan pengembangan model pembelajaran ALID. Prosedur pengembangan sesuaidengan Borg&Gall dengan tahapan: 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, 2) perencanaan, 3)pengembangan produk model awal, 4) uji coba permulaan, 5) revisi produk pertama, 6) uji lapanganterbatas, 7) revisi produk kedua. Analisis kelayakan produk bahan ajar dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif (teknik persentase). Penilaian kelayakan bahan ajar dilakukan olehpara ahli, praktisi ,dan siswa. Komponen penilaian kelayakan meliputi materi, isi, ketercernaan,bahasa, dan tampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahan ajar model ALID layak untuk diterapkanpada materi jaringan tumbuhan dengan kategori sangat baik menurut ahli dan praktisi, serta kategoribaik oleh siswa.Kata kunci: Bahan ajar, model ALID, accelerated learning, discovery

Abstract

Argumentasi ilmiah penting untuk dikembangkan karena dapat melatih berpikir secara ilmiah, berkomunikasi, dan bertindak seperti ilmuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah dan mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa berdasarkan indikator. Penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 9 Salatiga sebagai subyek penelitian yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive random sampling. Materi pelajaran yang dipilih adalah zat aditif dan zat adiktif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Instrumen penelitian dikembangkan dan diuji validitas isi dan konstruk. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan dideskripsikan secara kualitatif dengan teknik triangulasi. Tahapan analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subyek memiliki kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah dengan kategori sangat baik (5%), baik (46%), cukup (41%), dan tidak baik (8%). Diketahui bahwa profil kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa berdasarkan indikator secara berurutan yaitu kemampuan pada claim (skor rata-rata: 2,68), rebuttal (skor rata-rata: 2,4), data (skor rata-rata: 2,24), dan warrant (skor rata-rata: 1,33).Scientific arguments are essential to developing because they can train to think scientifically, communicate, and act like scientists. This study aims to determine the ability of scientific argumentation. Moreover, describe the ability of students to scientific argumentation based on indicators. The study involved students of class B 8th grade in Junior High School 9 Salatiga as research subjects determined through a purposive random sampling technique. The subject matter chosen is additives and addictive substances. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, and interviews. The research instrument was developed and tested for content and construct validity. Data were analyzed quantitatively and described qualitatively by triangulation techniques. Stages of data analysis include data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion making. The results showed that the subjects had the ability of scientific argumentation with top categories (5%), good (46%), sufficient (41%), and not good (8%). It was knowing that the profile of students' scientific argumentation abilities based on indicators in a sequence is the ability to claim (average rating: 2.68), rebuttal (average rating: 2.4), data (average rating: 2.24), and warrant (average rating: 1.33).

Abstract

The use of learning media is known to improve students thinking skills. The interview conducted at SMP N 9 Salatiga indicated that the students had some difficulties in learning about cells. The purposes of this study were to develop learning media and to determine the feasibility of the media in teaching and learning. The research employed the modification of the Borg and Gall development model that was consist of :1) research and information collection, 2) planning, 3) develop a preliminary form of product, 4) preliminary field testing, 5) main product revision, 6) main field testing, 7) operational product revision, 8) operational field testing and 9) final product revision. The effectiveness of the product was measured by the N-Gain test. The validation results of the media experts, material experts, and pedagogy experts were 91.6% (very feasible), 85.7% (very feasible), and 80% (feasible), respectively. Also, the responses from educational practitioners and students were 86.6% (very good) and 82.41% (good), respectively. The students learning with media showed an improved cognitive score, based on N-Gain test analysis, compared to that which learning with other media. In conclusion, the "Cytozzle" learning media is feasible to be used in learning about cells.

Abstract

The aims of this study are to develop a Science Process Skills Based Module (KPS) on Cell-Level Life Organization Materials for Grade VII Students of SMP Kristen 2 Salatiga. This research is a research development (R & D) with an F-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), but in this study it does not cover the entire stages in the F-D development model, namely the disseminate stage because of the limitations of the time the research was conducted. The instruments in this study were interview sheets, validation sheets, and student response sheets. The results of module development research according to the expert validity test 3.1, test pedagogical validity 3.15, test the validity of practitioner experts 3.08, and limited field testing 3.37, from the overall data obtained shows that the average module values ​​above 3.00 and is categorized as "A " that is very good. Modules with the category "A" are feasible to use in class VII students in the learning process. Keywords: module, Science Process Skills (KPS)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' science process skills through online assessments using the Rasch model analysis. The method used is quantitative through the analysis of the Rasch model. The data was collected using an online assessment with a test technique based on basic science process skills. The results showed that as many as 21 students (43.75%) had a KPS above or equal to the class average KPS and 12 students (25%) had high abilities in all aspects of basic KPS. In addition, as many as 27 students (56.25%) still have abilities below the class average and 15 (31.25%) still have abilities below the average test difficulty level. However, it can also be seen that 33 other students (68.75%) have a KPS ability above the average level of test difficulty. In conclusion, some basic process skills that need to be improved in students are observing, measuring, communicating and predicting skills. Abstract

Interview results showed that teachers still experience difficulties in carrying out educational action research, especially in developing instruments for collecting data and analize the results. Community Service in collaboration with 35 teachers who are members of the Biology Teacher Association (MGMP) of Semarang District as partners was carried out as an effort to resolve these problems. Community Service was carried out through three stages, namely preparation, training, and evaluation. The main stage of this program was carried out in the form of training using the lecture and discussion methods which are presented in three parts. The results of the questionnaire analysis at the end of the program showed that on average the majority of answers were agreed (as much as 60.7%) to various statements indicating an increase in partners' understanding and skills regarding educational action research. Therefore, it was concluded that the PkM program implemented succeeded in increasing partners' knowledge of the basic concepts of educational action research  preparation. The training provided has also improved the skills of teachers in carrying out and writing scientific papers resulting from educational action research.

Abstract

Perkembangan kurikulum di Indonesia menuntut adanya pengembangan potensi siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan ilmiah. Salah satu alternatif penerapan pendekatan ilmiah dalam pembelajaran biologi adalah melalui kegiatan pembelajaran di dalam laboratorium. Kegiatan laboratorium melibatkan penggunaan keterampilan laboratorium dan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterampilan laboratorium dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI SMA pada materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu SMA swasta Kota Salatiga dengan subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA sejumlah 47 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi dan tes. Wawancara untuk analisis pendahuluan proses pembelajaran biologi di sekolah. Observasi untuk keterampilan laboratorium siswa saat pelaksanaan praktikum. Tes evaluasi dalam bentuk esai untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah pembelajaran dilakukan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan diuji melalui uji korelasi Spearman rho. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara keterampilan laboratorium dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa (nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05) dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,745 menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang kuat dan arah hubungan yang positif. Hal ini berarti dengan keterampilan laboratorium siswa yang baik, maka baik pula kemampuan berpikir kritisnya atau sebaliknya dengan besaran hubungan yang dalam kategori kuat. The curriculum in Indonesia demands the whole students’ development through applying the scientific approach in the learning process. The scientific approach can be implemented by doing learning activities in the laboratory. Laboratory activities can enhance laboratory skills and critical thinking ability. This study aimed to determine the correlation of skills and the critical thinking ability of 11th-grade students in plants tissue learning processes. This study was conducted at a private high school in Salatiga City, with the research subjects were 47 students.Data collection techniques were interview, observation, and test techniques. Interview were used for preliminary analysis of the biology learning process in schools, observation for students' laboratory skills during practicum implementation and evaluation test in the form of an essay for students' critical thinking skills after learning was done.Data were analyzed descriptively and tested by the Spearman rho correlation test. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there was a significant relationship between students' laboratory skills and critical thinking skills (significance value 0.00 <0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0.745 indicating a strong relationship with a positive direction. It meants that when the value of one variable increases, the value of the other variable increase in a similar trend or vice versa with a strong relationship.

Abstract

This research aims to 1) develop the problem-based digital game learning media to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes, 2) find out the feasibility of the use of the problem-based digital game learning media, and 3) determine the increase in students’ cognitive learning outcomes after using the problem-based digital game learning media. This development research used the 4-D model (Four D) which consisted of 4 stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instrument were validation sheets, interview sheet, and questionnaire. The data were analyzed using quantitative and descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of the development was the digital game learning media. The results of the validation showed a score of 85.3% (very feasible) for media, 92.3% (very feasible) for content. Meanwhile, it reached a score of 81.25 % (very feasible) from the pedagogical expert validation, 92 % (very feasible) from practitioner validation, 90,42 % (very feasible) and 92.1% (very feasible) from students. The N-Gain analysis showed students in the high (90%) and moderate (10%) results. The results of the study show that the digital game is very suitable to be used in the learning process.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan media pembelajaran game digital berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa, 2) mengetahui kelayakan game digital berbasis masalah, serta 3) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang menerapkan media pembelajaran game digital berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4-D (Four D). Hasil validasi media memperoleh skor sebesar 85,3 % (sangat layak), validasi materi memperoleh skor sebesar 92,3 % (sangat layak), validasi ahli pedagogi memperoleh skor sebesar 81,25 % (sangat layak), validasi praktisi memperoleh skor sebesar 92% (sangat layak), sedangkan hasil validasi terhadap siswa diperoleh skor sebesar 90,42 (sangat layak) dan 92,1% (sangat layak). Berdasarkan analisis N-Gain diperoleh hasil siswa dengan kategori tinggi (90%) dan sedang (10%). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen keterampilan proses sains pada pembelajaran daring dan mengetahui kelayakan instrumen tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan menurut Borg & Gall. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga dengan subyek penelitian siswa kelas VIII pada semester genap 2021/2022. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, kuesioner, dan tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Teknik kualitatif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan data hasil validasi para ahli, sedangkan teknik kuantitatif digunakan dalam dengan teknik persentase dan analisis Rasch dengan bantuan software Ministep. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, diperoleh produk hasil pengembangan berupa instrument asesmen KPS berbasis aplikasi pada materi sistem ekskresi. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa instrument termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak dengan perolehan nilai validasi ahli materi sebesar 94%, dan ahli pedagogi sebesar 89%. Sedangkan instrument termasuk dalam kategori layak menurut ahli praktisi dan siswa, dengan masing-masing nilai validasi sebesar 74% dan 72%. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba lapangan dan analisis Rasch, dapat diketahui bahwa instrument asesmen memiliki nilai reliabilitas Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0,85 yang termasuk dalam kategori baik. Sebaran tingkat kesulitan soal dan hasil pengerjaan menunjukkan bahwa soal telah sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa. Hasil analisis nilai MNSQ, ZSTD dan Pt. Measure corr diperoleh bahwa dari 35 soal yang diujicobakan, terdapat 33 soal valid dan telah diperbaiki serta dua soal yang tidak valid.
