Abstract

The use of inappropriate learning media often causes the problem of unsatisfactory learning outcomes in students. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the utilization of hologram learning media to increase students' interest in learning and directly lift the quality of their learning outcomes. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using hologram learning media in improving the achievement of learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (NSP) subjects for fifth-grade students at Wonosari 01 Elementary School in Semarang City. Using a quasi-experimental Pretest-Posttest Control Group design, 51 students were sampled and divided into experimental class VA (25 students) and control class VB (26 students). The results showed a significant effect of hologram learning media on student learning outcomes. Hypothesis analysis using a t-test showed that the t(calculated) value of 41.37 exceeded the t(table) value of 2.009 at the significance level of ????= 0.05. This shows that the use of hologram learning media statistically significantly affects the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Wonosari 01 Elementary School in Semarang City.

Abstract

Game-based learning media integrates game elements with educational objectives, offering an engaging and enjoyable learning experience. This study aimed to (1) develop Mowall-based interactive media for English language learning, (2) evaluate its feasibility, and (3) assess its effectiveness for fourth-grade students. The research employed a Research and Development (RD) design based on the Borg and Gall model. The participants were fourth-grade students from SDN Wonosari 02, Semarang City. Data were collected using interviews, documentation, needs and response questionnaires, validation sheets, and pretest-posttest instruments. Data analysis involved normality tests, paired-sample t-tests, and N-gain calculations. Validation results indicated high feasibility of the media: 96.9% from media experts, 95% from material experts, and 86.7% from language experts. Normality tests showed that pretest and posttest data were normally distributed (small-scale: 0.773 and 0.090; large-scale: 0.635 and 0.112). Paired t-test results showed significant improvement in student performance (small-scale: p = 0.003; large-scale: p = 0.000, both p 0.005). N-gain scores were 0.35 (small-scale) and 0.53 (large-scale), both indicating moderate effectiveness. In conclusion, the Mowall interactive media is both feasible and moderately effective in improving English learning outcomes among fourth-grade students.

Abstract

P5 on the theme of entrepreneurship has been widely implemented. Still, there are challenges related to the lack of teacher readiness, lack of references, and lack of relevance to the local cultural context. This study aims to fill the gap by analyzing the implementation of P5-themed entrepreneurship based on traditional Semarang food and beverages. It focuses on identifying formed character values and supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method; the first data collection technique is a structured interview (principal, homeroom teacher, and students), the second is participatory observation of active participation type, and the third is documentation—data analysis model Miles and Huberman analysis. The findings in this study on the implementation of P5 start from the first stage of planning (the existence of a facilitator team, the level of readiness of the education unit, the design of the dimensions (theme and time allocation), teaching modules, strategy for reporting project results), the second stage of implementation (introduction stage, contextual stage, action stage, and reflection stage), the third stage of evaluation using process evaluation. The implementation of the P5 project shows four dimensions of character values that are formed in students, namely the Dimension of Faith, Fear of God, the Dimension of Mutual Cooperation, the Dimension of Critical Reasoning, and the Dimension of Independence. This shows that the P5 project is a practical learning approach. This success is influenced by supporting factors (teacher competence, parental involvement, and availability of natural resources) and inhibitors (limited time, funds), so efforts must be made to overcome them, such as time management and sponsorship of funds. This research is expected to increase the understanding of the P5 theme of entrepreneurship in the context of local culture so that it is sustainable and provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of P5 implementation in schools.

Abstract

This research applied Borg and Gall's research and development (R&D) method. There are 10 stages, but this research only reaches stage 8, namely the usage trial. The difficulty experienced by students in learning the material is due to the lack of technology-based media so that the value of complete students is 35 and 65% is not complete. The data collection methods used are tests and non-tests (observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation). This is the main reason for this research, which is to make learning media based on Google Sites, test its feasibility, and evaluate its effectiveness. The results showed that Google Sites-based media was created using Google Sites, with contents in the form of a main page, main menu (learning objectives, materials, LKPD, videos, music, and profile), and navigation guides. A very feasible assessment was obtained with a percentage of 93.75% material experts and 92.5% media experts. The effectiveness of the media is measured from the pretest and posttest scores as evidenced by the calculation of the t value of -10.699 and the sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The N-Gain test obtained a medium category with an average N-Gain result of 0.6154. The results of this study indicate that the media design has been made, feasible, and effective to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN Rejamulya 02 Cilacap Regency on the material of Sound and its Properties.
