Abstract

This study aims to analyze work motivation in improving employee performance at Batavia Coffee and Roastery, a local coffee shop competing in the food and beverage (F&B) industry. Work motivation is an important factor in supporting employee productivity and achieving company goals. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the owner, assistant, and employees. The results show that employee motivation is influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include the fulfillment of physiological needs, safety, social relationships, recognition, and self-actualization. External factors consist of compensation, work environment, leadership, and reward systems. Based on the preliminary survey, most employees stated that salaries were insufficient to meet living needs, job security was limited, and tasks lacked challenges. These conditions led to decreased enthusiasm, low initiative, and limited creativity. However, the study also found that supportive leadership, harmonious teamwork, and the provision of rewards such as bonuses and praise significantly increased work motivation. This positively affected employee performance, particularly in terms of quantity, quality, discipline, and accuracy of work. In conclusion, work motivation plays an essential role in enhancing employee performance at Batavia Coffee and Roastery. The company should focus more on aspects of compensation, reward systems, and opportunities for self-development so that employee motivation is maintained and has a positive impact on business sustainability

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance mental health literacy among coaches and members of ORKI (Olahraga Kebugaran Indonesia) in South Tangerang City and to promote the development of a sports ecosystem that is healthy both physically and psychologically. The main issues addressed include limited understanding of mental health, insufficient empowerment strategies, and the absence of a systematic approach to creating a supportive sporting environment. The methods employed in this program utilize a participatory approach based on educational activities and interactive training. The program began with the delivery of material on the importance of mental health in the sports domain, followed by simulations of stress-management techniques, case-based group discussions, empathic communication practice, and a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) aimed at formulating community strategies. Data were collected through direct observation, discussion outputs, and participant reflections. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of mental health issues, accompanied by emerging initiatives to establish internal support systems within ORKI. Coaches and members demonstrated positive changes in mindset and behavior, particularly in communication practices, training activity design, and responsiveness to the emotional conditions of fellow members. Thus, this program provides a significant contribution to empowering the sports community through an applicable and sustainable mental health literacy approach.

Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale, while data analysis was performed using SPSS version 26, which included validity tests, reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that the organizational culture variable (X1) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a t-value of 8.578 > t-table = 1.986 and significance of 0.000 < 0.05. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether work motivation and work discipline have a partial and simultaneous impact on employee performance at PT. Samsung Electronics Indonesia. A quantitative method was used. The sample consisted of 76 respondents, selected through a saturated sampling technique. Validity, reliability, classical assumptions, regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, determination coefficient analysis, and hypothesis testing were used to analyze the data. With the regression equation, the results of the study indicate that work motivation and work discipline have a significant effect on employee performance. Y = 7.482 + 0.337X1 + 0.504X2. The correlation coefficient, or the level of influence between the independent variable and the dependent variable, is 0.850. The coefficient of determination, or the contribution of simultaneous influence, is 0.722, or 72.2%, and other factors influence 27.8% of the total. The F table value is greater than the calculated F, or (94.890 is greater than 3.120). Therefore, H0 is rejected and H3 is accepted, indicating that work motivation and work discipline affect the performance of PT Samsun employees.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze the implementation of compensation and its role in encouraging employee performance at Al–Azka Kamila Indonesia Foundation, Cisauk, Tangerang Regency. Compensation is an important aspect of human resource management because it influences employee motivation, loyalty, and performance in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of five employees, including two administrative staff, two teachers and the head of the foundation., who were selected based on their direct involvement in the foundation’s operational activities. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured using source triangulation. The results indicate that the implementation of compensation at Al–Azka Kamila Indonesia Foundation has not been fully optimal. In terms of financial compensation, some employees receive basic salaries below the Regional Minimum Wage standard, although payments are made regularly and on time. In addition, non-financial compensation such as allowances, incentives, and a supportive work environment contributes to employee comfort and work motivation. However, several obstacles remain, particularly in terms of work efficiency, timeliness, and innovation. Therefore, compensation plays an important role as a driving factor for employee performance, but improvements and adjustments are needed to achieve fairness and sustainability in enhancing overall employee performance.
