Abstract

Various institutions utilize computer information systems to analyze and process data. An expert system is an information system that is used to help analyze and determine decisions on a problem based on rules determined by experts. This research focuses on creating a prototype expert system for diagnosing pre-eclampsia or pregnancy poisoning in pregnant women based on measuring blood pressure and checking proteinuria. The existing data is then analyzed using the Mamdani system's fuzzy inference method. Supporting theory regarding the fuzzy inference system of Mamdani, pre-eclampsia and its examination indicators will be used as a basis for creating this expert system prototype. The data used were secondary data on preeclampsia patients in the form of medical records of blood pressure measurements, proteinuria examinations and doctor diagnoses of preeclampsia patients at two Regional General Hospitals (RSUD), namely Atambua and Kefamenanu, totaling 20 samples. The interface or user interface of this prototype system is made as simple as possible so that it can be operated by all ordinary people. The programming language used is Visual Basic (VB) with the Visual Studio 2010 developer application. The initial prototype of this system will continue to be developed until it can become a Information systems or real applications used in hospitals. The results of this research are that the expert system for diagnosing preeclampsia can be used well and easily by hospital staff and show congruence between the system diagnosis results and the diagnosis results from obstetricians or experts in the 20 processed data.

Abstract

Pre-eclampsia is the second of the top three causes of death in pregnant women after bleeding and followed by infection. By knowing the risk factors, early detection of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women needs to be done so that later it can be treated more quickly to prevent further complications. This study aims to design a practical application of a decision-making system for the diagnosis of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women using the Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) method so it can be used efficiently and effectively for the early diagnosis of pre-eclampsia. The method used in data analysis is the FIS Mamdani method with defuzzification using the centroid method. The designed system considers blood pressure and proteinuria as input variables and pre-eclampsia status as output variables. The research results show that the system has 7.27% of Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value and when comparing the final diagnosis of the system and expert diagnoses (doctors) from 20 patients at two hospitals, it was found that the system diagnosis was 100% in accordance with the expert diagnoses.

Abstract

Continuing education is one of the initiatives done to strengthen an institution's human resources. In Indonesia, there are various scholarship programs offered to people to continue their education. However, because many individuals have not been socialized, they are unaware of the scholarships that are accessible. To address this issue, the PkM team of Universitas Pelita Harapan, Universitas Timor, and the Flores Timor Teachers' Association collaborated to organize a socialization of scholarship for further education to the general public, especially in Eastern Indonesia. This event is conducted in the form of an online webinar and is filled out by three speakers from each institution, all of whom have won scholarships. The webinar began with a presentation session in which the presenters discussed their experiences and suggestions, followed by a question and answer session for each speaker, and a closing. According to the assessment results, several participants were excited about pursuing their study overseas. This is evident in the numerous thoughts and queries given by participants about continued study abroad scholarships. Overall, the webinar went well, with participants expressing their satisfaction with the information and experiences offered by the presenters. The assessment form also stated that participants desired an advanced scholarship socialization webinar so that they could learn more about the many sorts of further study scholarships they may apply for.

Abstract

One indicator that can be used as a determinant in the quality of higher education is the academic achievement of students. Grade Point Average (GPA) is a measure of the academic performance. GPA gained students can not be separated from the quality of the incoming student input at the college. This study discusses some of the indicators that can be used as a measure of the quality of student input from the academic side, such as the National Examination (NE), the origin of school (public / private), gender and type of college entrance exam (SNMPTN test, SBMPTN test and independent institution test). Because some of these indicators are qualitative so the data analysis used regression analysis with dummy variables. Research conducted on students of Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Timor University, class of 2017 to class of 2021. From the data processing, obtained regression model: . From the data analysis, concluded that the female students of Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Timor University, coming from public schools and type of college entrance exam is SNMPTN have the greatest tendency to obtain high GPA compared with other students. In addition, for the regression equation obtained above was 38.2% means that the independent variable in the model can explain the diversity of the GPA of 38.2%.

Abstract

Tofu is a food that is familiar to the people of Indonesia, because it contains many benefits and the price is cheap. One of the tofu production businesses in Timor Tengah Utara Regency is Alfaria's Tofu Business. Since its inception of this factory until 2019, the factory has experienced an increase in the number of production, but since the Covid-19 in 2020, the number of production has became uncertain due to social restrictions imposed by the government. There are many ways that can be done to determine the optimum production number, one of which is by using the Tsukamoto Fuzzy Inference System (FIS). The application of this method aims to provide a solution on how to determine the number of tofu that will be produced based on the number of vinegar and soybean raw materials, the availability of wood as fuel, the number of demand and supply of tofu. Then to determine the level of accuracy of the method used, an error check is carried out by comparing the difference between the predicted data and the actual data using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). Based on the results of calculations with Tsukamoto FIS, the number of tofu that must be produced by the Alfaria Tofu Factory throughout 2021 with an accuracy level of 96.25% is obtained, so it can be concluded that Tsukamato FIS method is very good to be used as a method for predicting the number of production for the Alfaria Tofu Factory.

Abstract

A sequence is a function from the set of natural numbers to the set of real numbers . In sequences there is the concept of sequence convergence. Testing the convergence of a sequence can be done using the Bolzano-Weierstrass Theorem. This theorem states that every finite sequence has a convergent sequence. The relationship between convergent sequences and finite sequences is also important to study further. Apart from being used to prove the convergence of sequences, the Bolzano-Weirstrass Theorem can also be applied to prove the Max-Min Existence Theorem. This research was conducted to examine the relationship between convergent sequences and finite sequences, the relationship between convergence and continuous functions and the relationship between continuous functions and max-min values with the aim of constructing a convergent sequence in R^n and its application in proving the Max-Min Existence Theorem. This research is a literature study. This research was conducted through a literature review of books and other literature. From the literature review, the materials are then discussed in depth. The results of the literature study show that a convergent sequence is a finite sequence, but a finite sequence is not necessarily convergent. In determining the convergence of a sequence using the Bolzano-Weierstrass Theorem, it is necessary to first show the limitations of the sequence. Furthermore, to prove the Max-Min Existence Theorem it is necessary to require that the sequence is finite and then this theorem can be proven using the Bolzano-Weierstrass Theorem and Apit Theorem. Abstract

The traffic light settings at several road intersections in Timor Tengah Utara Regency have not been regulated, taking into account the width of the road and the volume of vehicles. One of the intersections in question is the Eltari–Sonbay–L. Lake intersection road (Tulip intersection). At this intersection, traffic jams often occur because traffic light settings are not optimal, so it is necessary to have traffic regulations that pay attention to road width and vehicle volume. This research aims to find out how to regulate the duration of traffic lights using graph theory and the Webster method. This research is applied research. The data used is primary data, which includes road geometry and traffic volume data. The results of calculations using a compatible graph and the Webster method obtained two-time phases. Phase 1 for the Eltari road section (north and south) has a green light duration of 22 seconds, yellow 3 seconds, and red 27 seconds. Meanwhile, Phase 2 for Sonbay Road and L. Lake Road has a green, yellow, and red-light duration of 23 seconds, 3 seconds, and 26 seconds, respectively. These results look more optimal compared to the current ones, which only consist of one-time phase.

Abstract

The problems of linear programming are developing from time to time, and its complexity is constantly growing. Various problems can be viewed as a multi-objective fuzzy linear programming, multi-objective stochastic linear programming or a combination of both. This research is focused on examining Multi-Objective Fuzzy Stochastic Linear Programming (MOFSLP) with each of the objective functions has a different level of importance to decision makers, or better known as the nonsymmetrical model. The objective function of the linear program contains fuzzy parameters, while the constraint function contains the fuzzy parameters and random variables. The purpose of this study is to develop an algorithm to transform the MOFSLP be a Program of linear Single-Objective Deterministic Linear Programming (SODLP) so that it can be solved using simplex method. In the process of transforming MOFSLP to SODLP, several approaches have been used. They are; weighted additive model, analytic hierarchy process and chance constrained technique. An example of numerical computations has been provided at the end of the discussion in order to illustrate how the algorithm works. The resulted Model and algorithm are expected to help companies in the decision making process.

Abstract

The business’ level, lack of knowledge about the making process and use of hand sanitizers from natural ingredients caused sellers in Pasar Baru Kefamenanu do not apply the health protocols during transactions with buyers. Therefore, there needs to be educated about natural ingredients that can be used as hand sanitizers, the making process, and how to use them. Natural ingredients that are found in Kefamenanu are betel leaves. Education on making hand sanitizers from betel leaves helps sellers to be able to make their own hand sanitizers. The addition of aloe vera to betel leaves extract aims to make the liquid hand sanitizer becomes softer. While lime and perfume are to get rid of the betel leaves’ smell. The distribution of hand sanitizers that has been made can be an example of products from natural ingredients and the storage bottles provided can be used as a refill place for hand sanitizer.
