The research aimed to compare caulifl ower growth and production planted at lowland and highland by using organic farming system. The research was single treatment experimentally, which was land height, consisted of highland (Kopeng) and lowland (Ambarawa). The variables were vegetative growth (leaves amount and plant weight) and generative development (fl ower initiation and fl ower weight). The data were analyzed by t-test. The result confi rmed that organic farming will make better lowland caulifl ower vegetative growth but least generative development compare to the highland one.  An experiment has been conducted from February 2008 to April 2008. The objective of this research was to analize the influence of a variety of water levels to the activity  of nitrate reductase enzyme (NRA) and the production of soybean (Glycine max) var. Burangrang, and to analize the correlations between the NRA and the production. Cultivar Burangrang was the main subject of the experiment. The application of the treatment was followed by the complete random design consisting of one factor with three replicates. The factor was the water levels of field capacity, 90%, 70%, 50%, 30%, and 10% of the field capacity. Every replicate consisted of 8 treatment units, and thus the whole of treatment units were 144. The water level treatment was given once per day. NRA is calculated based on the amount of nitrite produced from an assay. Nitrate was reacted using 1% sulfanilamide in 3N HCL and 0.02% napthylethylendiamide. The color was then determined using spectrophotometer at 540 nm. The result of the research indicated that the administration of water at 90% of field capacity resulted in the highest average of NRA due to good water efficiency. The best average of water efficiency for production was obtained from the variety of water quality of 70%. So it can be concluded that variety of water quality had significant influence to NRA and production. NRA had positif correlation with production. The result of observation during the teaching internship program (PPL) show that the teaching and learning activitiesin SMP Mataram Semarang still apply teacher centered learning. Besides, the question and answer session in theteaching and learning activities are still relatively low. Report of the national examination results at SMP MataramSemarang in the academic year 2014/2015 by BSNP indicate that the absorption of students on the material ofaddictive substances and psychotropic is still low at 34,29%. An effort to do is to apply the learning model SnowballThrowing through Word Square media. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the learning modelSnowball throring through Word Square media toward the activity and the result of studentâs learning in the materialof addictive substance and psycothropic. This research is a Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design.The results of the study showed that the liveliness of experimental group was 92%, while in the control group was 76%.The classical completeness of cognitive achievement in the experimental group was 88%, while in the control group was48%. The results of t-test showed that there is significant difference on cognitive achievement of the experimental groupagainst the control group. The result of N-gain also showed that the improvement in cognitive achievement of theexperimental group was higher than the control group. The classical completeness of affective achievement of theexperimental group was 92%, while the control group was 80%. It can be concluded that the learning model SnowballThrowing through Word Square media is effective toward the activity and the results of studentâs learning in thematerial of addictive substance and psychotropic. One of the indicators to measure college studentsâ achievement is Grade Point Average (GPA). Moreover, nutritional status and learning pattern also influence the learning outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between nutritional status and learning pattern with learning outcomes of Biology student of Universitas Negeri Semarang. The research was a mixed method research design particularly sequential explanatory strategy.The population of the research were students majoring in biology class registered as college students in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. The sampling technique in the quantitative method used proportional random sampling while purposive sampling was applied in the qualitative method. Studentsâ learning outcomes, in this case, were GPA. Four methods in the data collection were employed. They were an assessment of Body Mass Index (BMI), questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed used partial correlation analysis followed by a multiple correlation and regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship as many as 44.2% of nutritional status and learning pattern with learning outcomes. Thus, it was suggested that the nutritional status and learning pattern contribute positively to improve studentsâ learning outcomes.

Student learning outcomes of human reproductive system material under passing grade become an obstacle for students to achieve the learning objectives. Some students are not enthusiastic about human reproductive system material because it is considered difficult. Students still do not understand related to the structure and function of reproductive organ systems, abnormalities and hormones. Based on the problems above then it takes a learning to attract attention or enthusiasm of students. Media is one of the important factors of teaching and learning process. Use of media aims to facilitate teachers in convey learning so students become more easily understand the material. The purpose of this research is to analyze the usage effectiveness of video and mama card in Biology lesson of human reproductive system material. This research used True Experimental Design with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The analysis of data includes quantitative data to student activities and learning outcomes, then descriptive analysis to teacherâs opinion and studentsâ opinion. The result of this research showed that student activities and student learning outcomes in the experimental class is higher than the control class. Teacher and students gave positive reviews to the learning process. Teaching and Learning process through practice and simulation method direct the students to understand the concept better. This research aimed to find out the studentsâ achievement in the implementation of practice and simulation method on the ecosystem material as well as the studentsâ attitude toward the method given. The design of this research was quasi-experimental research. The population of this research was tenth-grade students of senior high school 2 Bae Kudus.The purposive sampling technique was used to choose the sample. The sample that is chosen was X MIPA 3 class (experimental class) and X MIPA 4 (Control class). Based on t-test result, the value of significance (2-tailed) amount 0,00 was obtained. Thedataof this research showed the value of significance < 0,05. It was proved that there is a significant difference on the studentsâ achievement between the experimental class and the control class.The studentsâ achievement average of the experimental class was 77,78 and the average in the control class was 57,02.Total of the students who gave the positive response toward practice and simulation method was 77,78%. The purpose of this study was to discover and describe the effectiveness of 5E inquiry learning model by using interactive notebook on the subject of cell. It was a quantitative quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was the whole eleventh grade science students of SMA Negeri 1 Magelang. The researchers used simple random sampling which took the students from  Class Science 1 of eleventh grade as the experimental class and Class Science 3 of eleventh grade as the control class. In collecting the data, the researchers used the result of pre-test, post-test and the grades of students from experimental class (using interactive notebook) then the assessment of control class students’ laboratory work report performance. Normality test, homogeneity test, average difference test, the improvement of learning skill measurement, and classical completeness measurement were used for data analysis. The result shown that 5E Inquiry-Learning Model by Using Interactive Notebook   on the Subject ‘Cell’ was effective. It was proved by the average of both of classes (experimental class and control class) was significantly different (tcount (7.36) > ttable (2.00)). The difference was supported by the fact that the improvement of learning skill of experimental class students was better the control class students. For the experimental class, the improvement of student learning skill was categorized as medium (index gained 0.61) while control class’ was low (index gained 0.29). In addition, the experimental class had reached the classical completeness rate (the percentage was 87.89%) while the control class had not reached it yet (around 27.27%).

               Problem based learning (PBL) with video can be the concept of student knowledge on immune system material. The PBL 2013 model is widely used in learning or curriculum, but implementation is rarely used in learning. Based on preliminary observation at SMA N 1, it is known that the absorption capacity of immune system is 21.91% at national exam is the lowest. This research on the effectiveness of problem-based learning models with videos on student learning results in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. The research sample consists of three experimental classes. Data sources include students' cognitive learning outcomes (pretest-posttest), affective learning outcomes, psychomotor learning outcomes, teacher qualitative descriptive analysis (interview) and student responses with descriptive percentage analysis. Data were analyzed by using the cognitive learning outcomes (pretest-posttest) in experimental classes. The questionnaire of learning implementation shows that the PBL with video on the immune learning system has been done well. The calculation of the N-gain value, the experimental classes has been increased by 0.77 with the high category. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the PBL model for students is effective in applying material to cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes of students in SMA N 1 Semarang.

Classification of living things is one of Biology material in the senior high school level which explains the formation of various animal and plants groups until structured the taxon following a hierarchy. The identification process of living things especially plants is one of activities that need students’ accuracy through observation. The plants identification process with determination key is main discussion on plants classification material in Biology learning for tenth grade of senior high school students. The problems found in living things classification material (plants) are difficulty in recognizing the plants characteristics, less key determination media, and lesson plan arranged by teacher tends only to be used for classroom activity. Furthermore, learning media is needed for increasing students’ competency from nature exploration which is used for identifying school’s environment. Plants key determination media which is developed from exploration of Guci forest tourism in Tegal Regency. Analysis of exploration result is 32 family and 50 species of plants are identified. The key determination media is validated by material expert with very valid result by score 85.7% and 94.4% from media expert. The media implementation in the learning results students’ score achievement by more than 93.9% students’ score surpassed KKM (minimum completeness criteria) with very good response from students and teacher while the method applied in the learning in the senior high school.

Bakteri Penghasil IAA mampu menghasilkan fitohormon yang dapat mempercepat pertumbuhan tanaman. Hormon IAA adalah auksin endogen yang berperan dalam pembesaran sel, menghambat pertumbuhan tunas samping, merangsang terjadinya absisi, berperan dalam pembentukkan jaringan xilem dan floem, dan juga berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan dan pemanjangan akar. Hormon IAA merupakan hormon yang berperan dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman sehingga sintesis oleh bakteri tertentu merupakan alasan yang menyebabkan peningkatan pertumbuhan tanaman. Oleh karena itu masalah yang perlu dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah isolat bakteri endofit dari tanaman kacang tanah berpotensi sebagai penghasil IAA , bagaimana identifikasi bakteri endofit yang mempunyai kemampuan menghasilkan IAA, bagaimana pengaruh IAA terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kacang hijau. Secara khusus penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan isolat bakteri endofit penghasil IAA pada tanaman kacang tanah , menguji kemampuan isolat bakteri endofit menghasilkan IAA secara in vitro dan menganalisis IAA terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman kacang tanah . Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dalam 3 tahap, pertama isolasi bakteri endofit penghasil IAA pada bagian akar dan batangdilakukan pada medium umum untuk pertumbuhan bakteri , kedua menguji kemampuan bakteri endofit memproduksi IAA secara in vitro, dilakukan dengan cara menumbuhkan bakteri pada media yang mengandung triptofan.dan ketiga introduksi bakteri endofit penghasil IAA pada tanaman kacang hijau. Pengujian kadar IAA yang dihasilkan diukur dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer dengan panjang gelombang 535 nm. Kecambah yang tumbuh diamati setelah empat hari . Parameter yang diamati adalah panjang kecambah , jumlah akar lateral. Hasil Isolasi didapat 16 isolat yang mempunyai kemampuan menghasilkan IAA dengan kadar yang di hasilkan berbeda dengan karakteristik morfologi yang berbeda. Isolat yang menghasilkan kadar IAA tinggi di aplikasi ke kacang hijau. Pemberian IAA berpengaruh terhadap jumlah akar lateral tapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap panjang kecambah. Analisis lebih lanjut bahwa semua isolat berbeda signifikan dengan kontol kecuali isolat AT dalam pembentukan akar lateral. Isolat DM dan K1K1 mempunyai hasil yang tertinggi dalam pembentukan akar lateral.
