Abstract

This Research aims to develop a digital student worksheet for hybrid learning that is valid and practically reviewed based on student responses as users. Digital student worksheet can be used as teaching materials that help students in hybrid learning. This research and development consist of three stages, namely define, design, and develop. The research data was obtained through a validation sheet by two expert validators based on aspects of content feasibility, aspects of didactic feasibility, aspects of language feasibility, aspects of presentation feasibility and aspects of graphic feasibility with response questionnaire for digital worksheet users. Based on the results of expert validation, the percentage are 93.75% on content feasibility; 83.33 % on didactic feasibility; 89.58% on language feasibility; 83.33% on presentation feasibility; and 83.33% on graphic feasibility. The percentage as result of questionnaire for digital worksheet users is 89.47%. Students’ responses as users show that digital worksheet is practical, easy to access, and can increase interest in learning. So, the average of digital worksheet validity percentage is 86.66% and it can be concluded that the digital student worksheet for hybrid learning which is developed using the Microsoft Sway application is categorized as very valid and can be used as a learning media.

Abstract

Socioscientific Issues (SSIs) are real-world topics that integrate science content with societal relevance. This study aims to integrate SSIs into basic chemistry education—specifically chemical kinetics—by developing an Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKM) that enhances conceptual understanding through contextualized issues. The E-LKM was developed using the 4D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The development process employed Flip Builder software to create an interactive, digital format that simulates an engaging e-book. Expert validation was conducted with two subject-matter experts through construct validation. Revisions were made based on detailed feedback. A small-scale trial was also conducted involving 13 students to assess usability and comprehensibility. Validation results indicated strong validity, with scores of 0.90 (content aspect) and 0.91 (media aspect). The trial revealed the need for clearer, more accessible language. Revisions included the integration of contextual news and simplified explanations to enhance student comprehension. The final version of the E-LKM successfully aligned with SSI syntax and pedagogical principles. The validated E-LKM effectively supports the teaching of chemical kinetics by engaging students with relevant, real-life issues. The integration of SSIs through interactive media fosters critical thinking and contextual learning. The findings confirm that the developed E-LKM can serve as an effective instructional tool in SSI-based chemistry education.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the validity and effectiveness of an e-module based on Phenomenon-Based Learning (PBL) for teaching acid-base solutions, developed using the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The development method is well-suited for creating educational materials. In this study, the e-module was validated by experts in chemistry content and media design. The validation results indicated that the e-module was highly valid across various aspects, including content, presentation, language, graphics, PBL characteristics, appearance, and software utilization, with validity percentages of 96.00%, 96.66%, 100.00%, 92.00%, 96.36%, and 96.66%, respectively. Additionally, an e-module trial was conducted with feedback from two chemistry teachers and 20 students. The responses were overwhelmingly positive, with effectiveness ratings of 96.66% and 98.76%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the e-module developed with the Articulate Storyline application for acid-base solution materials is both valid and effective for use in the learning process.
