Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of building construction project financing, which includes contract value, project duration, and number of floors, on human resource costs (Expert Costs, Skilled Labor Costs, and Worker/Mandor Costs) in building construction projects within the Dili City Government Office. The research focuses on 20 building projects in the Dili City Government Office environment. Using project report documents as data, the independent variables in this study are contract value, project duration, and the number of floors, while the dependent variables are the costs associated with experts, skilled labor, and workers/mandors/laden. The study employs multiple linear regression analysis to assess the relationship between these variables. The results show that the contract value has a significant partial effect on human resource costs, including expert costs, skilled labor costs, and worker/mandor costs. This indicates that a higher contract value influences the allocation of human resource costs in building construction projects. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of managing contract value, project duration, and the number of floors to optimize human resource costs and ensure efficient project completion.

Abstract

This research addresses the critical issue of insufficient budget allocation for Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) systems in construction projects, specifically in the Rubaru 1 Elementary School building project in Sumenep District, Indonesia. The study explores how limited financial resources for safety measures, such as personal protective equipment (PPE), worker training, and health facilities, affect the implementation and effectiveness of OHS systems. The urgency of this research lies in the growing need to allocate adequate resources to OHS, as insufficient funding increases the risk of workplace accidents, delays project timelines, and raises costs. Previous studies, including Lestari et al. (2023) and Saragi & Sinaga (2021), have emphasized the positive impact of adequate OHS budgets on reducing accidents and improving productivity. However, a gap exists in research regarding the specific cost components required for effective OHS implementation, especially in relation to construction projects with limited budgets. This study fills this gap by analyzing the key cost components for OHS and their direct impact on worker safety and project performance. The findings will provide valuable insights for construction companies to optimize their OHS budgets and enhance safety measures. It also contributes to the development of industry standards and practices for OHS management in future construction projects.

Abstract

The construction of the Regional General Hospital Dr. H. Slamet Martodirdjo in Pamekasan Regency faces several challenges, particularly concerning high-level risks that may impact project success. This study aims to identify and analyze major risks affecting project completion and propose effective mitigation strategies. Using a survey method, data were collected from key stakeholders and processed using the Severity Index and Probability and Impact Matrix to assess risk levels. The findings identified 25 potential risks, with eight categorized as high-level risks: implementation method errors, difficulties in installing cross foundations, delays in critical path tasks, late material procurement, labor shortages, non-compliance with occupational safety regulations, lack of teamwork among workers, and adverse weather conditions. These risks significantly impact the project timeline, budget, and overall quality. The study also reveals that poor coordination among stakeholders, inefficient risk management practices, and regulatory constraints contribute to project delays. To mitigate these risks, strategic planning, improved procurement management, workforce training, and strict adherence to occupational safety regulations are recommended. Additionally, the adoption of technology-driven solutions, such as digital monitoring systems and e-procurement platforms, can enhance project oversight and efficiency. By implementing a systematic risk management framework, construction projects can minimize potential disruptions, ensure timely project delivery, and maintain cost efficiency. The findings of this study provide valuable insights for project managers, contractors, and policymakers in the construction industry, particularly for large-scale healthcare infrastructure projects. A proactive risk mitigation approach is essential to achieving successful project execution and sustainable infrastructure development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze project cost and time acceleration using the Crashing Method by adding three hours of overtime work and additional labor. Delays in construction projects often lead to budget overruns and inefficiencies, making acceleration techniques essential for ensuring timely project completion. The research evaluates cost efficiency by comparing the total project budget before and after implementing the Crashing Method. Using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, this study examines the impact of different acceleration strategies on cost increase and time reduction. The findings indicate that project completion time can be significantly reduced using both methods; however, overtime results in higher cost increases compared to additional labor. While overtime provides immediate acceleration, it incurs higher expenses due to increased labor wages, whereas adding workforce results in gradual but more cost-effective acceleration. Furthermore, the study underscores the importance of selecting the appropriate acceleration approach based on project constraints, workforce availability, and financial considerations. Effective resource allocation, labor management, and risk assessment are critical factors in minimizing costs while maximizing efficiency. By analyzing the trade-offs between cost and time, this study provides valuable insights into the optimal strategy for project acceleration in construction management. The findings offer practical recommendations for contractors, project managers, and stakeholders to optimize resources and maintain budget control while ensuring project completion within the scheduled timeframe.

Abstract

UMKM H. Muslikun is a business that produces traditional woven sarongs. In the production process, the yarn dyeing process is one of the important processes and has an influence on the products produced. In this yarn dyeing process, manual tools are still used, and the position is less ergonomic because the worker bends slightly, besides that the production capacity that can be produced is still quite small. This results in workers feeling less comfortable and the need for threads being unable to be met if at any time there is an increase in demand due to increased production. Therefore, from this, in this research a yarn dyeing tool will be created that is in accordance with ergonomics using anthropometric methods with the aim of making workers comfortable and increasing production capacity in the yarn dyeing process. From anthropometric data processing, the machine dimensions are 100 cm high and 58 cm wide. From the test results, it was found that the capacity of yarn that could be dyed was 160 rolls from the previous 150 rolls of yarn.

Abstract

The rapid development in the industrial world forces industry players to be required to pay attention to all aspects of business in their efforts to survive in competition, including control of raw material storage for the smooth production process. UD. XYZ is an industry engaged in the production of shovels, which in the production process involves several raw materials on a fairly large scale. The limited raw material storage space available results in frequent accumulation of some raw materials which can have an effect on the continuity of the production process. Calculations are carried out using the ABC classification method, inventory turnover ratio, and min-max stock on raw material control to avoid the accumulation of raw materials in the storage room. It was noted that there were several raw materials that experienced accumulation such as iron plates, iron pipes, screws and welding wires.
