Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research were to find out on  the topic of circumference and area of triangles and quadrangles: (1) which one produce better learning achievement among Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, open ended approach or a mechanistic approach; (2) which had better learning achievement between field dependent cognitive style students or field independent cognitive style students; (3) at each cognitive styles, which was better learning achievement among RME approach, open ended approach or mechanistic approach, and (4) at each learning approach, which had better learning achievement between field dependent cognitive style students or field independent cognitive style students. This research was a quasi-experimental with 3×2 factorial design. The population was all students in seventh grade of state Junior High School in Pacitan Regency on Academic Years 2012/2013. Sampling was done by stratified cluster random sampling technique. The total of sample was 238 students. Statistical tests using the method Lilliefors test for normality, homogeniety of the Bartlett method, anava test with F test (Fisher) and post hoc test using the Scheffe’ method. The significance level was 0,05. Based on hypothesis test, it could  be concluded that: (1) RME approach produce better learning achievement than open ended approach and mechanistic approach, open ended approach produce better learning achievement than mechanistic approach; (2) the field independent cognitive style students have a better learning achievement than field dependent cognitive style students; (3) at each of cognitive styles, RME approach produce better learning achievement than open ended approach and mechanistic approach, open ended approach produce better learning achievement than mechanistic approach; (4) at each learning approach, field independent cognitive style students have better learning achievement than field dependent cognitive style students.Keywords: Field Dependent, Field Independent, Mechanistic, Open Ended, Realistic Mathematics Education (RME).

Abstract

Railway travel safety is an important component in rail transportation. The reliability of the railroad infrastructure is one of the points to support the safety of railroad operations. Lintas Bandung - Cikampek is a cross that has varied geographical contours where right-left rail roads have hills and slopes so that the area between Purwakarta Station - Ciganea Station is a landslide-prone area. As happened in the field there was an avalanche at KM 107 + 100 - KM 107 + 300 which caused disruption to train travel. In addition, improper handling of landslides will cause other potential dangers. The handling of the landslide slope in KM 107 + 100 - KM 107 + 300 uses steel tape from the used rails because the landslide is considered to be less than optimal and is looking for other ways to handle landslides. looking for comparisons compared to using the shotcret method. In this study, we tested the landslide handlers that have been carried out by comparing the handling carried out in accordance with the existing provisions between the steel plaster method of the rail used with the shotcrete method. The cause of landslides is due to a steep angle of 65⁰ with a peak height of 15 meters. The impact on crossing is applied to taspat 5 km / hour to anticipate sudden landslides. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the shotcrete method was considered capable of handling landslide-prone areas in KM 107 + 100 - KM 107 + 300. However, for the handling that had been carried out using steel plaster from used rails. However, this handling is considered not optimal because of the limited number of rails around vulnerable areas, resulting in plaster walls that can still make material exit to the railroad tracks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimental semu dengan desain faktorial 2x3. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Pacitan tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 43 sekolah. Sampel diambil dengan teknik stratified cluster random sampling, terpilih SMP N 1 Tegalombo, SMP N 2 Pacitan, SMP N 2 Arjosari dengan sampel sejumlah 238 siswa. Uji prasyarat meliputi uji normalitas menggunakan metode Lilliefors dan uji homogenitas variansi menggunakan metode Bartlett, uji anava dengan uji F (Fisher) dan uji lanjut pasca anava dengan metode Scheffe’. Taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR) memberikan prestasi belajar matematika siswa lebih baik dibandingkan pendekatan pembelajaran open ended dan pendekatan pembelajaran mekanistis, serta pendekatan pembelajaran open ended memberikan prestasi belajar matematika siswa lebih baik dibandingkan pendekatan pembelajaran mekanistis. (2) Prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya kognitif field independent lebih baik dibandingkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent. (3) Pada masing-masing gaya kognitif, pendekatan PMR memberikan prestasi belajar matematika siswa lebih baik dibanding pendekatan open ended dan pendekatan mekanistis, serta pendekatan pembelajaran open ended memberikan prestasi belajar matematika siswa lebih baik dibanding pendekatan mekanistis. (4) Pada masing-masing pendekatan pembelajaran, prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya kognitif field independent lebih baik dibandingkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent.Kata kunci: Field Dependent, Field Independent, Mekanistis, Open Ended,  PMR

Abstract

The purpose of this class action research is to (1) improve students' mathematics learning achievement through the Group Investigation learning model in class VII F SMPN 2 Ceper, Ceper District, Klaten Regency 2017/2018 Academic Year. (2) Describe how to overcome the constraints of applying the Group Investigation learning model to improve mathematics learning achievement of class VII F SMPN 2 Ceper. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded: (1) The application of the Group Investigation learning model can improve the learning achievement of grade VII F SMPN 2 Ceper, which is indicated by: students of class VII F as many as 32 students have increased learning achievement that is before action only 53.1% of students study completely, after the action becomes 100%. How to overcome constraints, namely the teacher must be skilled in applying Group Investigation learning model is: a) reviewing the concepts and basic competencies that students will learn, b) forming heterogeneous study groups both in terms of ability, gender, religion, tribes etc., c) prepare everything about learning as well as possible so that when learning runs smoothly, d) minimize the number of group members so that learning takes place effectively with no passive group members or playing alone during group discussions, e) giving gifts at the best group presentations

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to find out on the topic of Sequences and Series: (1) which had better learning achievement among cooperative learning Group Investigation (GI) or a direct learning; (2) which had better learning achievement between melancholies students, phlegmatic students, sanguine students or choleric students; (3) at each personality types, which had better learning achievement among GI or direct learning, and (4) at each learning models, which had better learning achievement between melancholies students, phlegmatic students, sanguine students or choleric students. This research was a quasi-experimental with 2×4 factorial design. The population was all students in tenth grade of vocational schools technology, health, and agriculture in Klaten Regency on Academic Years 2019/2020. Sampling was done by stratified cluster random sampling technique. The total of sample was 80 students. Statistical tests using the method Lilliefors test for normality, homogeniety of the Bartlett method, anava test with F test (Fisher) and post hoc test using the Scheffe’ method. The significance level was 0,05. Based on hypothesis test, it could be concluded as follows: (1) GI had better learning achievement than direct learning,; (2) there were no any differences in the learning achievement in mathematics of the students with melancholies, phlegmatic, sanguine or choleric personality types; (3) in each personality types, the cooperative learning model GI had better than cooperative learning Jigsaw II direct learning model; (4) in each learning model, the students with melancholies, phlegmatic, sanguine or choleric personality types have the same learning achievement

Abstract

Learning during the pandemic is carried out online (in a network) by paying attention to the situation and conditions when the Covid-19 outbreak hit the whole world. Online learning began in 2020 to be precise in March so that up to this research it had been exactly one year. However, in its implementation, there are many discrepancies, this is indicated by several problems that occur in the field. From the research results, it was found that the online learning models that were widely used were WAG (Whatsapp Group), Google For Education (Google Form, Google Classroom, Google Drive), Youtube, Zoom Meeting. The obstacles experienced were unstable communication signals, exhausted internet quota, parents' cellphones brought to work, students accompanied by their parents working on assignments at night. Meanwhile, the advantages of online learning are flexible, complete reference sources, and adaptive to technology. Of the student activity level, only 50% are fully active in online learning, 32% are active and the remaining 28% are inactive

Abstract

From the results of the study, it was found that the online learning models that are widely used are WAG (Whatsapp Group), Google For Education (Google Form, Google Classroom, Google Drive), Youtube, Zoom Meeting. The obstacles experienced were unstable communication signals, running out of internet quota, parents' cellphones being brought to work, students accompanied by their parents doing homework at night. While the advantages of online learning are flexible, complete reference sources, and adaptive to technology. Online learning bridges between students and teachers so that learning can still take place even though in different places. This shows that the role of technology dominates in the field of education. Compared to before the use of online learning, conventional learning still prioritizes face-to-face and manual use of equipment such as blackboards, markers, erasers and text books and note books. The development of education in industry 4.0 must be accelerated quickly, especially in the development of education which should no longer discuss the use of technology but rather the development of technology in the use of education, for example in online learning which should be more effective in the implementation of learning. the industry must be a real solution in maximizing education during a pandemic and post-pandemic by developing knowledge in the use of technology.

Abstract

Mathematics is the basis of all sciences, one that is emphasized in learning mathematics is logic thinking. In learning in vocational mathematics mathematics is an important material because logic underlies mathematical thinking, in fact there are still many students who have difficulty in learning mathematical logic material, so it needs to be analyzed to find out the learning difficulties of students in learning mathematics especially mathematics topics. In addition, the causative factors of learning difficulties in mathematics also need to be analyzed in terms of physiological, social, emotional, intellectual and pedagogical factors, so that the right solution to overcome mathematical learning difficulties, especially the topic of mathematical logic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pada materi keliling dan luas segitiga dan segiempat: (1) prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang lebih baik antara pendekatan PMR, open ended atau mekanistis, (2) prestasi belajar yang lebih baik antara siswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent atau field independent, (3) dari masing-masing gaya kognitif prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang lebih baik dengan pendekatan PMR, pendekatan open ended atau pendekatan mekanistis, (4) dari masing-masing pendekatan pembelajaran prestasi belajar yang lebih baik siswa dengan dengan gaya kognitif field dependent atau field independent.
