Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk memberikan penguatan terhadap guru tentang implementasi kurikulum merdeka khususnya tentang Tentang Platform Merdeka Mengajar. Pada platform tersebut terdapat beberapa menu untuk guru berkreasi, yaitu: Asessmen Murid, Perangkat Ajar, Bukti Karya, Pelatihan Mandiri, Video Inspirasi dan Komunitas. Kegiatan Pengabdian masyarakat ini ditujukan kepada Bapak Ibu guru UPT SD Negeri Tepas 03 Kecamatan Kesamben Kabupaten Blitar. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah dengan sharing bersama secara langsung di Aula UPT SD Negeri Tepas 03 yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan praktik membuka platform merdeka mengajar dan tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan sosialisasi diharapkan bapak ibu guru di SD Negeri Tepas 03 dapat lebih memahami dan dapat menggunakan menu-menu pada platform merdeka mengajar untuk menunjang implementasi kurikulum merdeka.Antusiasme peserta terhadap kegiatan sosialisasi ini sangat tinggi yang dapat dilihat dari jumlah kehadiran peserta yaitu sebanyak 13 orang dari target 15 orang yang terdiri dari Kepala Korwil Pendidikan Kecamatan Kesamben, Kepala Sekolah UPT SD Negeri Tepas 03, guru-guru di UPT SD Negeri Tepas 03, serta mahasiswa Kampus Mengajar angkatan 3 yang bertugas di SDN Tepas 03. Antusias warga juga dapat dilihat pada saat penyampaian materi banyak peserta yang melontarkan pertanyaan kepada pemateri sehingga suasana menjadi semangat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the implementation of the problem posing approach assisted by interactive media in mathematics learning, especially in shaping the professional readiness of prospective teachers. The urgency of this study is based on the importance of learning strategies that can improve critical thinking skills, creativity, and learning motivation of prospective teacher students. This study is a quantitative descriptive study involving 27 students of the mathematics education study program. Data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of ten questions grouped into three main categories, namely the problem posing aspect, interactive media, and the integration of both. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively using percentages to determine the tendency of students' perceptions of each indicator studied. The results showed that students' perceptions of the problem posing model were quite positive, with P1, P2 and P3 each scoring 77%, 86% and 87%. In the interactive media aspect, all statements (P4–P6) received very positive responses above 83%, indicating their effectiveness in facilitating understanding of concepts. The synergy between the two was also perceived very positively, with P10 recording the highest score of 98%. All items in the questionnaire were declared valid (r-count 0.381) and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.75). These findings indicate that the integration of problem posing and interactive media is effective in improving the quality of learning and shaping the professional readiness of prospective teachers. It is recommended that this approach be applied more widely in the education of prospective educators for optimal results.

Abstract

In this study, a descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collection tools consisting of tests, interviews, and document analysis. The subjects involved were three seventh-grade students from class VII E at SMPN 1 Sanankulon, selected based on test results and recommendations from their mathematics teacher, representing three levels of cognitive ability: high, moderate, and low. After analyzing the collected data, it was found that each student demonstrated potential for critical thinking, with varying levels of achievement influenced by their conceptual understanding and ability to process information. The assessment of critical thinking skills was based on Facione’s four indicators: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. The findings showed that: (1) Students with high ability were able to solve each problem while clearly addressing all four of Facione’s indicators and applying accurate strategies and calculations. (2) Students with moderate ability did not fully demonstrate all four indicators but showed sufficient computational skills and arrived at correct answers, although they were not thorough in documenting their solution processes. (3) Students with low ability failed to meet all four indicators comprehensively, were less meticulous in presenting their solutions, and made frequent errors in their calculations.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is an essential competence in education, encompassing the ability to understand and apply mathematical concepts in everyday life. Within the topic of statistics, this literacy becomes particularly relevant, as it relates directly to data processing and interpretation. However, many students tend to memorize formulas mechanically without fully understanding their meaning and purpose. This study aims to examine students’ mathematical literacy skills in relation to Skemp’s theory of understanding, which distinguishes between instrumental and relational understanding. The research employed a qualitative case study approach, involving three eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Sanankulon who represented high, medium, and low levels of ability. The research instruments consisted of a mathematical literacy test based on statistical contexts and interview guidelines designed to explore students’ reasoning processes. Data analysis referred to three indicators of mathematical literacy developed by PISA, namely formulating, employing, and interpreting. The findings revealed that students with relational understanding demonstrated higher levels of mathematical literacy compared to those with instrumental understanding. Relational learners were able to connect statistical concepts with real-life contexts, justify the procedures used, and interpret results meaningfully. In contrast, students with instrumental understanding often relied on rote memorization of formulas, leading to difficulties in adapting their knowledge to new or unfamiliar contexts. These results highlight the importance of promoting relational understanding as a foundation for enhancing mathematical literacy. The study suggests that instructional strategies should emphasize contextual problem-solving, conceptual connections, and reflective reasoning, particularly in statistics, to better equip students with the skills needed for data interpretation and informed decision-making in real-world situations

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia mengalami suatu keadaan yang disebut learning loos selama kurang lebih dua tahun dikarenakan wabah covid-19. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan beberapa masalah pembelajaran, khususnya siswa kelas VII-F SMPN 2 Srengat yang mengalami masalah pada pemahaman konsep, minat belajar, dan ketelitian dalam perhitungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari pemahaman konsep, minat belajar, dan ketelitian dalam perhitungan matematika melalui implementasi pembelajaran Science Technology Engineering Mathematics berbasis Project Based Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan design Kemmis dan Taggart yang dimodifikasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran (guru dan siswa), lembar kerja proyek, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi STEM PjBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan indikator pemahaman konsep, minat belajar, dan ketelitian perhitungan. Peningkatan hasil belajar terlihat dari nilai rata-rata yang meningkat dari 69,84 menjadi 79,84 dan ketuntasan klasikal yang meningkat dari 70,97% menjadi 93,55%. Hal ini diperkuat dengan prosentase rata-rata hasil observasi aktivitas guru/peneliti dan siswa masing-masing sebesar 80% dengan kategori baik dan 87,5% dengan kategori sangat baik, serta prosentase rata-rata hasil kerja proyek sebesar 89,6% dengan kategori baik.AbstractEducation in Indonesia has experienced a situation called learning loss for approximately two years due to the Covid-19 outbreak. This condition causes several learning problems, especially class VII-F students at SMPN 2 Srengat who experience problems understanding concepts, interest in learning, and accuracy in calculations. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in terms of conceptual understanding, interest in learning, and accuracy in mathematical calculations through the implementation of Science Technology Engineering Mathematics learning based on Project Based Learning. This research is classroom action research using a modified Kemmis and Taggart design. The research instruments used were learning implementation observation sheets (teachers and students), project worksheets, and tests. The research results show that the implementation of STEM PjBL can improve student learning outcomes based on indicators of conceptual understanding, interest in learning, and accuracy of calculations. The increase in learning outcomes can be seen from the average score which increased from 69.84 to 79.84 and classical completeness which increased from 70.97% to 93.55%. This is reinforced by the average percentage of observation results of teacher/researcher and student activities of 80% respectively in the good category and 87.5% in the very good category, as well as the average percentage of project work results of 89.6% in the category Good.

Abstract

Pembelajaran pada pasca pandemi menjadi tantangan tersendiri. Upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa pada materi Operasi Aljabar Himpunan adalah dengan penerapan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa Berbasis R2D (Reading, Relating, Discussion). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan pembelajaran Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa Berbasis R2D (Reading, Relating, Discussion) Materi Operasi Aljabar Himpunan. Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas pada mahasiswa angkatan 2022 unipa Kampus Blitar. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tugas, lembar penilaian sikap dan kerja kelompok, lembar observasi dan tes. Teknik análisis data yang digunakan adalah análisis data kualitatif yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa hasil observasi dalam kategori baik, ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 85% artinya baik sekali.

Abstract

The ability to think critically and creatively is an important 21st century skill to be developed in learning, including in the curriculum in junior high school. However, international studies such as PISA show that this ability is still low among Indonesian students. This is exacerbated by the dominance of conventional learning methods and teaching methods that do not support the development of high-level thinking skills. This research aims to develop a teaching module based on critical thinking and creativity in regenerative materials for junior high school students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The subject of the study was a 7H student of SMP Negeri 1 Nglegok. The data were analyzed descriptively through the results of interviews and questionnaires. The results of the interviews were used to describe the responses of teachers and students to the module, while the questionnaire data was analyzed with a percentage technique to assess the feasibility level of the module. As a result, teachers gave a score of 93 and positive responses to the module. The average student score was 79%, with the majority rating the modules "Good" and "Excellent". Interviews show that students are more enthusiastic about learning. Thus, this module is suitable to be used to support the development of students' critical and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Numeracy is not merely the ability to perform calculations, rather, it is the capacity to understand, interpret, and communicate mathematically rich information in real world contexts. Strengthening numeracy is not the sole responsibility of mathematics teachers. It requires collaboration across all subject areas. National and international assessments consistently indicate that the numeracy skills of Indonesian students have not improved significantly and, in some cases, have shown a declining trend. Preliminary observations revealed that, although SMK Negeri 3 Blitar had conducted activities to raise awareness of numeracy literacy, it lacked established best practices for developing numeracy-based teaching modules and assessments. Consequently, a collaborative workshop was organized at SMK Negeri 3 Blitar to provide guidance in the development of these materials. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Blitar Campus (PSDKU) of Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya and aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding of numeracy while supporting the production of numeracy based teaching modules and assessments. The program employed a collaborative workshop approach consisting of four stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. A total of forty four teachers from various subject areas participated in the two day event, which included presentations, sharing sessions, and group based practical activities focused on developing teaching modules and assessments. The evaluation indicated that 84% of participants achieved a high level of understanding of fundamental numeracy literacy concepts, and all groups successfully produced numeracy based teaching modules and assessments. Nevertheless, participants’ ability to design assessments still requires further improvement, as only 39% reached the high-proficiency category. Therefore, continued assistance through more intensive hands on training is recommended.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 berimbas di semua aspek kehidupan, tidak terkecuali pendidikan. Guna memutus penyebaran virus covid 19 ini, diterapkan sistem Work From Home dan Study From Home (Adiwijaya, 2020). Belajar dari rumah hanya dapat dilakukan melalui pembelajaran daring. Pembelajaran daring tersebut tentu mempengaruhi motivasi belajar mahasiswa. James Drever (Slameto, 2013), menyatakan bahwa motive is an effective factor which operates in determining the direction of an individual’s behavior to wards an end or goal, consioustly apprehended or unconsioustly. Motif merupakan penggerak/daya seseorang melakukan sesuatu untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Sehingga pembelajaran daring akan berhasil jika mahasiswa termotivasi untuk belajar. Sehingga tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan profil motivasi belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah teori bilangan saat pembelajaran daring di era pandemi covid-19. Profil motivasi belajar mahasiswa dideskripsikan melalui dimensi motivasi instrinsik dan dimensi motivasi ekstrinsik. Jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan instrumennya berupa angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis instrumen angket dapat dideskripsikan bahwa mahasiswa tetap mempunyai motivasi yang tinggi untuk belajar. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari dua dimensi motivasi. Dimensi motivasi intrinsik dapat disimpulkan bahwa belajar mahasiswa sangat dipengaruhi oleh motivasi intrinsik. Mahasiswa sadar bahwa belajar merupakan suatu kebutuhan. Sedangkan pada dimensi motivasi ekstrinsik disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa terpengaruh dengan adanya dorongan dari luar terkait dengan metode pembelajaran yang digunakan, pemberian nilai bagus (reinforcement positif) dan masa depan yang cerah. Motivasi ekstrinsik tetap diperlukan, mengingat kondisi mood mahasiswa yang sering berubah-ubah. Sehingga motivasi ekstrinsik harus selalu diciptakan untuk siap siaga tatkala motivasi intrinsik berkurang.

Abstract

The integration of gamification platforms like Wordwall and Quizizz in higher education mathematics is often evaluated based on cognitive outcomes. However, the affective dimension, specifically mathematical resilience, remains under-explored. This qualitative research investigates the dynamics of students' mathematical resilience during gamified learning. The study involved 17 Mathematics Education students from Universitas PGRI Adi Buana PSDKU Blitar. Data were collected through participant observation, score documentation, and in-depth interviews. The thematic analysis revealed three main themes: (1) "Adrenaline Rush vs. Mental Block," where timer features triggered anxiety in students with low resilience; (2) "Leaderboard Effect," where public ranking negatively impacted self-esteem for lower-ranked students; and (3) Coping Strategies, distinguishing resilient students who used failure for self-evaluation from those who resorted to random guessing. The study concludes that high digital scores do not necessarily reflect psychological comfort. Future instruction must balance competitive elements with affective scaffolding to foster true mathematical resilience.
