Abstract

Within the scope of the educational unit organization in elementary schools, the role of principal is needed. However, the fact is that the  school principal only hunts for positions and is less proficient in management. Even though as a leader has a role that affects teacher performance and school quality. The authors aims to describe the role of the principal and the need for education management by using descriptive method through reading books and journals, it was found that the principal had an influence in the management of education in primary schools for teacher performance and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Kindergarten and elementary school students' activities of observing, understanding, and interpreting scientific objects at the Geology Museum have the opportunity to build various thinking skills. This can be done if students are given probing questions that are able to con­struct their knowledge. Therefore, the study aims to describe a prototype called the Passport of the Geology Museum and opinions from experts, teachers, and pupils. The research was de­scriptive that told the passport in detail. The instrument used in this study was observation field notes and interview. The result showed that the passport had many interesting features that open many opportunities for pupils to write down their observation activities in the museum. Pupils were able to tell their feeling and interest in the museum. Besides, both experts and teachers gave positive feedback on the passport. They told that passport in the Geological Museum was so helpful. It was a platform to guide pupils in finding and optimizing their sensory observation. Pupils were also very happy to use passports because it was understandable. The passport of the Geological Museum is very useful and helpful for both teachers and pupils.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pentingnya pendidikan karakter sejak anak usia dini dan bagaimana mewujudkan karakter yang berkualitas  jika strategi pengembangannya melalui penanaman nilai-nilai agama. Kajian penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh dari observasi, rekaman, dan kajian pustaka melalui teori-teori dari berbagai sumber yang relevan. Berdasarkan penelitian maka diperoleh hasil bahwa sudah seharusnya membangun karakter yang berkualitas itu dilakukan sejak anak usia dini. Mengingat masa usia dini merupakan masa golden age sehingga apabila stimulasi sejak masa ini baik, akan berpengaruh baik juga pada pola tingkah laku dewasanya kelak. Seseorang yang taat terhadap agama ia akan memiliki kepribadian yang baik. Karena setiap agama mempunyai perintah, larangan, atau aturan yang mesti ditaati setiap penganutnya. Dengan beragama manusia hidupnya menjadi terarah. Sehingga dapat membentuk kepribadian/karakter yang berkualitas. Anak merupakan  peniru yang ulung, oleh karena itu stimulus terbaik yang dilakukan dalam membangun karakter melalui pendidikan agama adalah melalui keteladanan dan pembiaasaan terutama di lingkungan keluarga oleh orang tua dan lingkungan sekolah oleh guru.

Abstract

Abstract: The educator is a very important person in the world of education where the learning process with students will determine the future they will live. Especially PAUD educators who will instill various aspects of the foundation in learning to their students. Therefore, the understanding of educators related to one of the competencies that must be possessed, namely pedagogical competence is needed to support good education as professional educators. The pedagogical competence itself is inseparable from an important figure in education, namely Ki Hajar Dewantara who is a well-known figure in the world of education who came to be known as the Father of Indonesian Education who gave birth to a concept of momong, among, and ngemong who until now had an influence in the world. education in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to find out about educators' understanding of pedagogical competencies according to the Ki Hajar Dewantara concept. By using descriptive analytical qualitative methods by taking various journals and books as a reference. The results obtained are still very lack of understanding of early childhood educators related to pedagogical competence. Which is caused by the lack of PAUD educator insight on teacher competency standards, as well as the lack of implementation of the training or training that he has participated in. Therefore, it is very important for PAUD educators to be able to understand pedagogical competency standards to be able to become professional educators who can educate a qualified generation according to the Ki Hajar Dewantara concept.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang pendidikan anak usia dini berdasarkan pemikiran Montessori. Biografi, kurikulum, metode, lingkungan kelas Montessori menjadi pembahasan dalam artikel ini. Hasil penelitian studi literatur menunjukkan bahwa Montessori merupakan seorang wanita pertama Italia lulusan kedokteran. Montessori tertarik pada studi tentang penyakit mental dan gangguan psikologis terhadap anak. Ia membuka sebuah sekolah dengan murid-muridnya yang cacat mental, hingga ia meneliti bagaimana metode pendidikan untuk anak cacat mental. Montessori berkeyakinan bahwa metode yang telah dilakukannya pada anak cacat mental bisa dilakukan juga pada anak-anak normal. Menurut Montessori rentang usia anak 0 sampai 3 tahun merupakan usia dibawah sadar, dan rentang usia 4 sampai 6 tahun mengalami peningkatan ke usia sadar. Kurikulum Montessori terdiri dari tiga bagian yaitu lingkungan praktis, latihan sensorik motorik, dan perkembangan bahasa. Kebebasan, lingkungan yang terstruktur dan teratur merupakan elemen penting dalam metode Montessori. Dan lingkungan kelas Montessori yang terdiri dari prinsip kebebasan, ketertiban, kenyataan dan alam, suasana dan keindahan, bahan-bahan Montessori dan pengembangan kehidupan masyarakat.

Abstract

This study was created to provide information about the impact of distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic on children's psychology. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive study approach. The existence of the Covid-19 outbreak has made learning done remotely. This is certainly a learning style that is still very common among children in Indonesia, very foreign to them and something new to children in Indonesia. To improve the quality of learning that has been done during this pandemic, we must know the impact that children are receiving or feeling during this distance learning. Is it good or bad for child psychology. And to see what can affect other than psychological. As well as what needs to be considered during distance learning so that it is effective and in accordance with what students need, what needs to be improved from the distance learning that has occurred. This distance learning certainly has its positives and negatives which are used as evaluation materials for educators, especially teachers. In order to be able to change the negative impact into a positive thing. Because this psychological aspect is important to discuss especially in the current pandemic era, which of course really needs more attention to distance learning that children go through.

Abstract

Pemahaman manusia terhadap lingkungan telah mengantarkan kehidupannya pada kondisi yang disebut “unsustainable for development”. Suatu keadaan dimana kehidupan manusia tidak seimbang dikarenakan ulah manusia yang cenderung lebih banyak mengeksploitasi lingkungan daripada memelihara sumber-sumber alam yang ada. Dengan kata lain manusia cenderung lebih banyak memanfaatkan dan lupa menjaga lingkungan itu sendiri, sehingga hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya krisis lingkungan. Kesalahan sudut pandang tersebut mampu mereduksi nilai-nilai ekologis manusia, yang sejatinya mereka memiliki relasi ruang dan waktu dengan alamnya, oleh sebab itu manusia memegang peran sebagai subjek dalam kehidupan yang memiliki kehendak untuk berinteraksi dengan alam. Mereka dapat memanfaatkan alam sesuai kehendaknya, ataupun mereka akan mengelola alam sesuai hati nuraninya demi kelestarian, keharmonisan, keselarasan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan fakta tentang pola pendidikan ekopedagogik pada Sekolah Alam Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dan observasi, data sekunder mencakup teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pola pendidikan yang diterapkan di Sekolah Alam Bandung yaitu pola humanis, pola religius, dan pola demokratis. pola pendidikan tersebut berorientasi kepada pengembangan potensi peserta didik melalui kegiatan pengintegrasian mata pelajaran, dan kegiatan penunjang pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis media pembelajarn (buku panduan) dalam kegiatan wisata edukasi untuk anak usia dini. Kegiatan wisata edukasi masih dipahami sebagai ajang piknik/bertamasa untuk anak, guru dan orang tua, sehingga unsur esensial dari edukasi belum didapatkan oleh anak dalam proses pembelajaran di luar kelas. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis media pembelajaran untuk anak usia dini dalam kegiatan wisata edukasi. Analisis dilakukan melalui analisis kebutuhan media pembelajaran, analisis empirical/empiris (melalui observasi), dan analisis melalui studi literatur dari beberapa sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis kebudayaan masih kurang memfasilitasi anak dalam kegiatan wisata edukasi, oleh karena itu, pendidik perlu menyiapkan media pembelajaran berupa buku panduan berwisata yang mampu mengenalkan kebudayaan daerah kepada anak. Sehingga hal ini sebagai upaya reflektif guru dalam merancang pembelajaran di luar kelas dengan menyiapkan media pembelajaran yang mampu menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai karakter anak. Apabila ini dilakukan dengan penuh kesadaran maka pembelajaran menjadi bermakna dan berdampak kepada pemahaman siswa/anak usia dini akan kebudayaannya, selain itu kegiatan wisata edukasi ini berusaha membangun perasaan anak supaya mereka merasa memiliki akan kebudayaannya, dengan menjaga dan melestarikan kebudayaan yang terdapat di daerah tempat tinggalnya.Kata Kunci:  Anak Usia Dini, Kearifan Lokal, Media Pembelajaran, Wisata Edukasi.ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze learning media (guidebooks) in educational tourism activities for early childhood. Educational tourism activities are still understood as picnic/excursions for children, teachers and parents, so that the essential elements of education have not been obtained by children in the learning process outside the classroom. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing learning media for early childhood in educational tourism activities. The analysis was carried out through an analysis of learning media needs, empirical analysis (through observation), and analysis through literature studies from several sources. The results of the study show that the development of culture-based learning media still does not facilitate children in educational tourism activities, therefore, educators need to prepare learning media in the form of tourism guidebooks that are able to introduce regional culture to children. So this is a teacher's reflective effort in designing learning outside the classroom by preparing learning media that is able to internalize children's character values. If this is done with full awareness then learning becomes meaningful and has an impact on students/early childhood understanding of their culture, besides that this educational tourism activity seeks to build children's feelings so that they feel they belong to their culture, by maintaining and preserving the culture in the area where they live.Keyword:  Early Childhood, Educational Tourism, Learning Media, Local Wisdom
