Abstract

Barongsai is a traditional art of Chinese ethnic in Semarang, which comes from China. That art still existsand develop until nowadays although have lot of pressures both from Orde Lama and Orde Baru. Researchstudies were: (1) origin of Barongsai, (2) form of Barongsai art performance, (3) function of Barongsai art,(4) meaning of Barongsai art for Chinese ethnic in Semarang. Applied research method is qualitativemethod. Techniques of data collection are observation, interview, and documentation studies. Techniqueod data analysis are reducing, clarifying, decrypting, concluding, and interpreting all informationselectively. Techniques of checking relevance data were dependability and conformability. Research resultshows that Barongsai is an art comes from China entered Semarang by Chinese merchant. Form ofBarongsai performance are divided into three stages, those are flag play, Barongsai play, and ending.Function of Barongsai art for Chinese ethnic in Semarang are ritual, entertainment, and politic function.Whereas meaning of Barongsai art for Chinese ethnic in Semarang are symbolic meaning and strategymeaning.Kata Kunci : kesenian barongsai, fungsi, makna, masyarakat etnis Cina

Abstract

The problem studied is the form of performance and Barongsai choreography elements that are applied to help offering dan increasing the selling point of cultural tourism in Semarang. The objective of the study is to describe the form of performance and choreography elements of Barongsai as cultural tourism so that it can help the selling point of cultural tourism in Semarang. The result of the study, in general, is expected to be of beneficial as a theoretical and practical input to the related parties. In particular, the result of the study can provide empirical input for the artists, art observers, policy makers related to the cultural tourism. The method of the study uses qualitative approach. The study site was in Semarang. The data was collected by using controlled observation technique, deep interview, and documentary research. The data acquired is analyzed qualitatively by using interactive cycle model through reduction, presentation and verification process. The validation of the data and the analisys was done through trianggulation among research team. The result shows some findings. First, the form of Barongsai performance as cultural tourism is solid coreoragphy. Second, the coreography of Barongsai dance contain attractive elements and environmentally sound. Abstract

The National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003 states, "Special education is a form of education that specifically serves children who have visual, hearing, intellectual, physical or emotional barriers". The purpose of this paper is to apply dance learning as a medium for motor physical therapy for mild cerebral palsy sufferers at YPAC Semarang. This research method study uses a descriptive qualitative approach where the researcher observes the implementation of dance learning and presents the data in the form of data description, analysis, and interpretation. The result of this research is that learning dance can improve motor skills of patients with Cerebral Palsy light at YPAC Semarang. This increase in motor skills includes reduced stiffness when moving. In addition to motor skills, learning to dance to sufferers. The results of this study can be concluded that Cerebral Palsy can improve children's ability to manage emotions, improve problematic behavior, increase concentration, and increase self-confidence.

Abstract

"Ngidam Muncar" is a culture-based tourism village located in Muncar Village, Susukan District, Semarang Regency. Muncar has the Jaran Kepang Langen Turonggo Jati (LTJ) community which has so far contributed to strengthening tourism potential in Muncar, however based on the findings there are problems including: 1) lack of regeneration of Jaran Kepang dancer cadres; 2) lack of human resources in terms of understanding and skills in Jaran Kepang dance because they are self-taught; 3) have not been able to wear fashion make-up independently. This problem is urgent to be resolved immediately because currently tourism in Muncar Village has started to revive after yesterday's hiatus due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The program implementation method starts with FGD, training for 5 meetings and evaluation. The results of the activities that have been carried out include 1) forming a cadre of 20 young people and youngsters; 2) participants have basic dance knowledge and movement skills; 3) participants have the knowledge and skills to wear fashion make-up independently. The conclusion of this activity program is that there is an increase in the understanding and skills of the participants. These skills will get better if honed continuously.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menjawab, 1) Bagaimanakah pembelajaran tari dolanan pada siswa Sekolah Dasar dapat dijadikan sebagai sarana penanaman karakter? dan 2) Bagaimanakah karakter yang terdapat dalam profil pelajar Pancasila dapat ditanamkan melalui pembelajaran tari dolanan di Sekolah Dasar?. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan melakukan pengkajian terhadap masalah berdasarkan konsep dan teori dari literatur yang ada. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan Teknik Analisis Isi (Content Analysis) agar diperoleh hasil yang benar dan tepat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan; 1). Pembelajaran tari dolanan anak mempunyai keunikan, kebermaknaan, dan kemanfaatan bagi perkembangan karakter siswa melalui pemberian pengalaman estetik dalam bentuk kegiatan berekspresi, berkreasi dan berapresiasi., 2). Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang dapat ditanamkan melalui pembelajaran tari dolanan di Sekolah Dasar meliputi; a) Bernalar kritis, dimana siswa diharapkan memiliki kemampuan memecahkan masalah yang terkait dengan kemampuan kognitif, b) Mandiri, dimana siswa secara independen harus selalu termotivasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya, c) Kreatif, dimana siswa harus mampu menciptakan hal baru, berinovasi secara mandiri, dan mempunyai rasa cinta terhadap kesenian dan budaya, d) Gotong-royong, dimana siswa diharapkan memiliki kemampuan berkolaborasi yang merupakan softskill utama dan terpenting di masa depan agar bisa bekerja secara tim, e) Kebhinekaan global, dimana siswa diharapkan mencintai keberagaman budaya, agama dan ras di negaranya serta dunia, dan f) Beriman, Bertaqwa kepada Tuhan YME, dan Berakhlak mulia, dimana siswa diharapkan memahami moralitas, spiritualitas, dan etika yang merupakan hasil dari pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

Remaja milenial atau yang biasa disebut dengan generasi milenial adalah remaja yang hidup di tengah perkembangan jaman yang serba modern. Di tengah gempuran teknologi dan masuknya revolusi industri, tari Jaran Kepang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai modal sosial dan ekonomi bagi masyarakat untuk membangun karakter masyarakat tersebut dari gempuran teknologi dalam era industri 4.0. Generasi milenial dapat belajar kesenian tradisional kerakyatan melalui kemajuan teknologi. Salah satu paguyuban, yang selalu konsisten dalam pelestarian tari Jaran Kepang adalah Langen Budi Sedyo Utomo yang terletak di Dusun Sombron, Desa Tlompakan, Kecamatan Tuntang Kabupaten Semarang. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan penulis dalam 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan gerak dasar tari anggota paguyuban, 2) pembuatan video tutorial pembelajaran tari Jaran Kepang yang bisa digunakan sumber belajar secara mandiri oleh anggota paguyuban, 3) penyediaan pelatih tari dan iringan yang memiliki kompetensi di bidang tari dan iringan. Pelaksanaan Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat diikuti oleh 30 orang peserta, melalui tahapan penyuluhan materi pengetahuan dan pelatihan gerak dasar tari Jaran Kepang. Materi penyuluhan pengetahuan gerak dasar tari meliputi wiraga, wirama dan wirasa, yang diberikan dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, sedangkan materi pelatihan gerak tari dilakukan dengan metode demonstrasi. Tahapan pelaksanaan penyuluhan dan pelatihan diawali dengan pemberian video tutorial Tari Jaran Kepang yang sudah disiapkan oleh pengabdi. Peserta terlebih dahulu melihat dan mempelajari video tersebut secara mandiri, selanjutnya berlatih bersama dengan tim pengabdi sesuai waktu yang sudah ditentukan. Hasil penyuluhan dan pelatihan diukur menggunakan evaluasi proses dengan cara memperhatikan dan menilai setiap tahapan progres yang dicapai peserta. Penilaian akhir dilakukan dengan mempergelarkan tari Jaran Kepang secara bersama-sama. Kriteria Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah 1) jumlah peserta penyuluhan dan pelatihan memenuhi kuota yang tersedia, 2) peserta diwajibkan mengikuti setiap tahapan penyuluhan dan pelatihan sampai selesai, 3) peserta penyuluhan dan pelatihan mampu mempergelarkan tari Jaran Kepang dalam sebuah pertunjukan.
