Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and describe quantitative data on the effect of learning discipline on social studies learning outcomes in grade V. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design type of research. The experimental design used is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population and sample in this study were grade V students with a total of 20 students. The data collection techniques used were observation and testing. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that the application of learning discipline has an effect on student learning outcomes. This can be seen in the difference in the average number of learning outcomes before applying learning discipline (pretest) of only 54.37. While the average number of learning outcomes after applying discipline (posttest) was 83.43. And the results of the inferential statistical analysis using the t test showed that the t-count value obtained was 7.935. Degrees of freedom (db) = 20 - 1 = 19 with a significance level of 0.05 obtained t table = 2.093. So, tcount > ttable or 7.935 > 2.093, then the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. This means that the application of learning discipline has an effect on student learning outcomes in the subject of social studies class V SDN Wadukopa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness, readiness and suitability of the learning approach framework using the deep learning approach in elementary schools, especially the readiness of resources, both teachers and supporting facilities for learning activities in elementary schools in Bima. The method used in this study is library research, by systematically reviewing literature to collect, evaluate, and synthesize information from various sources relevant to the research topic. The study result indicate that the deep learning approach in learning consists of 3 main pillars, namely understanding the differentiation of student learning, inviting students to think critically in solving problems, and learning with fun, so that students can easily remember what has been learned. The application of deep learning in elementary schools emphasizes contextual learning that can be applied to learning science, mathematics, Indonesian, PPKn, PAI, and other non-curricular learning. It's just that this approach can be. Applied chose the synonim if the teacher is able to contextualize the latest issues, with the subject matter delivered. For teachers who have participated in the school mover program or teacher practice/movers, they can easily apply and combine deep learning as a learning approach, but in one elementary school not all teachers follow the program. This means that there needs to be mentoring or training from driving teachers or GMP group groups and the like, for all elementary school teachers, and this does not rule out the possibility of being implemented well, as a deep, detailed and enjoyable learning approach.

Maja labo dahu, which means "shame and fear (of god)", is a philosophy of life of the Bima people that emphasizes the importance of shame to do wrong and fear of God as a moral foundation. This value is believed to be able to become a social control and shape the character of children who are honest, discilplind, responsible, and avoid reprehensible actions. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and coclusion drawing. The results showed that the integration of maja labo dahu values in the family environment plays an important role in instilling children's religious character. This value not only strengthens children's cultural and religious identity, but also becomes an effective moral fortress in facing the challenges of the digital era and the negative influence of social media. Abstract

The increasing prevalence of moral and social issues among elementary students highlights the urgent need to strengthen character education. This study explores the strategic role of civic education in fostering core values such as religiosity, honesty, discipline, responsibility, and tolerance among fifth-grade students at SDN Inpres Pandai. Utilizing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted over two cycles, the study implemented the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) as an instructional intervention. The research involved 31 students and followed the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation checklists, interviews, document analysis, multiple-choice tests, teacher assessments, and student self-reflection instruments. The results indicated substantial improvements across all five character dimensions. Students’ initial mastery levels, which ranged from 54.8% to 74.2%, increased to between 83.9% and 90.3% following the intervention, placing all participants within the “very well developed” category. The VCT approach enabled students to engage critically with real-life moral dilemmas, express their values, and reflect on ethical decision-making. These outcomes demonstrate the effectiveness of VCT in enhancing students’ moral reasoning and ethical behavior, aligning with the goals of Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile. In conclusion, the potential of VCT as a valuable pedagogical tool in promoting character education at the primary level.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Dutch colonial agrarian policies and the socioeconomic conditions of farmers on the island of Jawa during the period 1879–1940, with a focus on the implementation of the Agrarische Wet 1870 and the domein verklaring principle, which transformed land into a commodity and farmers into laborers without sovereignty. Using historical research methods including heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, this study utilizes colonial archives, official documents, and secondary literature. Weber’s sociological “Verstehen” approach is employed to analyze the policy’s impact on class, status, and power dimensions within the social structure of colonial villages. The results of the study show that although it formally recognized customary rights, this policy legitimized the seizure of uncertified land from the people and leased it to foreign private companies for up to 75 years. As a result, farmers lost access to land, experienced proletarianization, became trapped in debt, and were forced to work for low wages on plantations. Land liberalization strengthened foreign capital dominance, triggered socioeconomic inequality, and gave rise to various forms of resistance, ranging from open rebellion to sabotage. This study concludes that colonial agrarian policies not only transformed the economic structure but also eroded social cohesion and peasant sovereignty, leaving a legacy of deep agrarian inequality in Jawa.
