Abstract

The purpose of these study is to determine the effect of active compound from tombili seed extract as a vegetable pesticide in the prevention of soil pest in rice plants. The method of these researches is isolation to obtain pure isolates, characterization by using infrared spectrophotometer (IR) and UV-VIS spectrophotometer then following biological test. The isolates obtained were tested positive for phytochemical containing alkaloid compounds and characterized as amorphous crystals. Identification of IR spectrophotometer generate a functioning -NH wave group of the wavelengths region of 3423.4 cm-1, bend C-N at wave number 1242.1 cm-1, C-H stretch at wave number 2925.8 and 2854.5 cm-1, bend C-H at 1475 wave numbers 1540 cm-1, carbonyl group (C = O) at the 1720.4 cm-1 wave number which is probably an alkaloid compound. The UV-VIS spectrophotometer results in a maximum absorption at 209.9 nm wavelengths indicated the presence of double bonds between the C = O functional group suspected as a result of the successive electronic transitions to n-π * and n-σ *. The result of biological test showed that methanol extracts of tombili seed can be used as a vegetable pesticide in pest prevention on rice plants, the most effective concentration used in this biological test is at 0.1% concentration, with very high effectiveness in eradicating pest on rice plants.Keywords: Tombili, Alkaloid, Biopesticide

Abstract

Enrichment of α-(alpha) linolenic acid (ALA) of basil seed oil, Ocinum basilicum L. can be done by fractional crystalization and crystalization of fatty acid in urea inclusion complexes (UIC) methods. In this research, the ALA of fatty acid of basil seed oil was fractionated by fractional crystallization in methanol solution at -3, -13 and -25 °C and by crystallization in urea solution (ratio 1:2) at 4, 2, -6 and -8 °C. The ALA percentages were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The results showed that percentage of ALA obtained from fractional crystallization at -25 °C increase from 65.16 to 91.40, and acquired from UIC is 98.8 at 2 °C

Abstract

KKN MBKM (Kuliah Karya Nyata Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) is a form of education that provides learning experiences for students to live in the community outside the campus and directly identify community potential and deal with problems so that they are expected to be able to develop the potential of villages and regions and gather solutions to problems that exist in the village. Real Work Lectures at this time coincide with the COVID-19 pandemic, so it has implications for governance differences with normal times. Various work programs have been planned before going to the KKN location, including the manufacture of hydroponic media and aquaponics, making hand sanitizer using natural materials, making Pone's food, and the implementation of tutoring to increase interest in learning from children who have been studying online for a long time. The results of this study show that community service program activities as a form of community service during the pandemic are still ongoing. The community can still feel the benefits, and the role of students can still be carried out with a series of innovative activities as well as continuing to follow health protocols.

Abstract

This community service program addresses the challenge of limited access to affordable and eco-friendly fertilizers in Indonesia's agricultural sector. The program focuses on transforming rice husk waste into organic fertilizer, which can enhance soil fertility and reduce dependence on synthetic fertilizers. Rice husk, a byproduct of rice milling, contains essential nutrients like potassium, phosphorus, and calcium, making it an ideal raw material for organic fertilizer. The program took place in Desa Permata, Gorontalo, a village heavily reliant on maize farming but facing a shortage of high-quality organic fertilizers. Through a series of workshops, local farmers were trained in converting rice husk into organic fertilizers, thus empowering the community and fostering sustainable farming practices. The project demonstrated the economic and environmental benefits of utilizing agricultural waste, contributing to soil health and minimizing ecological impact. The results indicate that using rice husk-based fertilizers not only improves crop yields but also supports long-term environmental sustainability. This initiative serves as a model for other regions, highlighting the potential for circular economic practices in agriculture.

Abstract

This community service program focuses on utilizing domestic waste from the sugar palm craftsmen in Desa Mongiilo to create organic fertilizer. The project aimed to address the underutilization of organic waste from sugar palm production by converting it into a valuable agricultural input. The initiative involved training local farmers in organic farming methods, including the production of organic fertilizers using sugar palm waste. The results of this program showed significant improvements in soil fertility and plant health, thereby enhancing agricultural productivity in the village. This program has the potential to be a sustainable solution for waste management and agricultural enhancement in rural areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji validitas media pembelajaran tera-tera untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Adapun tahap tersebut yaitu: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluasi. Namun, dalam penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap development. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan lembar validasi penilaian kelayakan media pembelajaran tera-tera. Kelayakan media tera-tera dinilai oleh 4 orang validator ahli yaitu 3 orang dosen kimia UNG dan 1 orang guru SMA. Hasil validasi pengembangan media pembelajaran tera-tera diperoleh persentase rata-rata 90,00% dengan kriteria sangat valid untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapatkan bahwa media pembelajaran tera-tera yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran materi larutan penyangga.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi REACT terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi larutan penyangga. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 55 siswa terbagi pada kelas eksperimen sebanyak 29 siswa dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 26 siswa. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan pembelajaran strategi REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applayng, Cooperatif, dan Transfering) sedangkan pada kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil uji validitas tes menunjukkan bahwa 15 soal valid dan hasil reliabilitas tes adalah 0,8454 tergolong dalam kategori tinggi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa pada taraf signifikan 0,05 dengan dk = 53 diperoleh thitung sebesar 5,695 lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 1,674 sehingga dapat disimpulkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh penggunaan pembelajaran berstrategi REACT terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi larutan penyangga. Adapun data aspek afektif dari kedua kelas dikategorikan baik, dengan rata-rata kelas eksperimen 80,345% sedangkan pada kelas kontrol 68,942%. Sedangkan pada aspek psikomotor kelas eksperimen sebesar 75,431% termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan kelas kontrol sebesar 48,750% termasuk kategori masih kurang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing bervisi SETS terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Larutan Elektrolit dan Nonelektrolit di SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo (2) Seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing bervisi SETS terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Larutan Elektrolit dan Nonelektrolit di SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo, terdiri dari 9 kelas yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2017-2018. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah X IPA 1 sebagai kelas Eksperimen dan X IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol, masing-masing terdiri dari 25 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument tes dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, uji realiabilitas, uji nilai rata-rata, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing bervisi SETS terhadap keterampilan proses sains yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 88% (thitung = 1,804 > ttabel = 1,6722). Adapun model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing bervisi SETS terhadap hasil belajar kognitif, menghasilkan hasil yang signifikan, memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 80,4 % (thitung = 11,7440 > ttabel = 1,6722). Hasil belajar afektif memperoleh nilai rata-rata 82,25% (thitung = 2,984 > ttabel = 1,6722) sedangkan hasil belajar psikomotor memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 83% (thitung = 3,136 > ttabel = 1,6722).
