Abstract

PT. Bondi Syad Mulia is a company which provides galvanized for iron. Based on the observation, there is an issue on placing and storing the goods in the warehouse. This research is to solve the problem by re-organizing the layout and placing the label in warehouse division in PT. Bondi Syad Mulia. The proposed layout covers the arrangement of goods in the warehouse of materials and tools by considering the FMS classification. The improvement on labeling system was done by labeling of goods and a place for storing goods. The momen result of the proposed layout was reduced by 34,25%. After labelling was placed, the result showed that there was 10 second reduction on taking the files and 30 second reduction on taking the goods from the rack.

Abstract

To control the production quality in terms of product weight, PT. X needs a standardization in production process. The weight standardization will help ease stocking process for both the company and the distributor. This research is used on the hollow product with chain type A with gold levels of 70%. Some of the products weight are not constant due to the variation of shrinkage percentage in every production process. The solution for this problem is to reduce the variation of shrinkage percentage levels in every production process using PDCA method. The improvement results obtained from PDCA method is shown on hammering, hollowing, and bombing process. On hammering process, a decrease in the shrinkage percentage variation is done by controlling the wire’s thick shrinkage percentage 15%-20% for a 5% shrinkage percentage. The percentage of necklace on hollowing process can’t be controlled, as a result an improvement is needed by giving an accurate range percentage standard, 49%-52% for chain A with gold levels of 70%. The weight shrinkage percentage in bombing process is depending on the size of small, medium, and large chain respectively 4%-5%, 5%-6%, 6%-7%.

Abstract

Lately the number of small and medium industry in Indonesian increase sharply, even though this growth was not followed by the development of internal organization and the innovation environment. While the development of internal organization and innovation may improve the performance of the small and medium industry. This research aims to model the increase in performance of shoes industries at Mojokerto thorugh the innovation atmosphere which can be influenced by internal organization as well. We used Structural Equation Model­ling (SEM) to model the three variables (Interanal Organization, Innovation Atmosphere, and Performance) and developed questionnaire for the latent variables. We found that the internal organization which supported by the atmosphere of innovation did not significantly influence the industry performance.

Abstract

The research is conducted to analyze the causes of new employee resigning the company. The new employee resigned during 2018 with the working period less than three months. The resigning new employee created loss in time and cost for the company. The analysis is done using paretto diagram to determine the cause that should be solved. The analysis continued using fishbone diagram. There are two factors causing the employee to resign, they are abandonment and performance. Abandonment is caused the employee getting a new job. Performance is caused by the employee having sub par performance. The research on employee performance gives solution to the resigning employee through interviewing based on interest and competence, completing the induction program, recruiting trainer, expanding the size of the training room, and adding tools and system to monitor the materials.

Abstract

5S merupakan konsep penerapan sikap kerja yang menekankan pada pengelolaan kondisi fisik tempat kerja. 5S merupakan singkatan dari Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, dan Shitsuke. Bekerja pada tempat yang terorganisir, membuat pekerja tidak cepat lelah, menimbulkan kepedulian terhadap pekerjaan, partisipasi yang tinggi, dan penyelesaian kerja yang baik. Penerapan konsep 5S pada area penyimpanan sangat penting karena berpengaruh terhadap efisiensi dan efektifitas pekerjaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan penilaian dan evaluasi konsep 5S di area penyimpanan proyek, untuk mengetahui sejauh mana konsep 5S telah diterapkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi kasus pada 5 proyek konstruksi di Surabaya dan Mojokerto. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep 5S belum diterapkan sepenuhnya pada proyek konstruksi. Seiso mendapatkan nilai yang cukup baik, mengingat kebersihan wajib dijaga di area proyek. Sedangkan, faktor seiri, seiton, dan shitsuke mendapatkan nilai yang buruk, karena 4 dari 5 proyek yang ada masih menyimpan alat rusak, tidak ada tata letak untuk area penyimpan alat, dan kurangnya kesadaran akan kedisiplinan. Seiketsu mendapatkan nilai yang sangat buruk karena aktivitas yang dinilai merupakan lanjutan dari 3S sebelumnya. Konsep 5S belum diterapkan di proyek konstruksi karena belum dikenalnya konsep 5S, kesulitan melakukan pengarahan dan pelatihan pada pekerja, adanya deadline proyek, serta jumlah dan jenis alat yang sedikit.

Abstract

Oil and gas companies are currently facing increasingly significant production declines, requiring detailed, accurate and fast subsurface analysis. However, the complexity of large and scattered data, as well as the use of various non-integrated software, are obstacles that cause difficulties and long and inefficient analysis times. Therefore, this study aims to design an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) dashboard to speed up and facilitate the process as part of the technology management of one of the oil and gas companies in Indonesia. The design thinking and new product development approaches are used to design the system. Qualitative methods are carried out through in-depth interviews, field observations, and surveys to identify user needs and build a subsurface dashboard GUI system, while quantitative methods are used to analyze multi-matrices from the House of Quality (HoQ) and evaluate the intuitiveness and usability of the prototype with the System Usability Scale (SUS) instrument. The analysis was carried out using user personas, customer journey maps, and HoQ to determine the main features. The results of the study indicate that visual graphics, seismic maps and cross-sections, customization, and data management are priority features in the subsurface dashboard GUI system prototype. The SUS evaluation shows that the system is intuitive, user-friendly, and can support work efficiency, as well as suit user needs.

Abstract

Nowdays, low-income housing has some problems such as relatively high price of land, condition of infrastructure and public facilities are below the standard and lack of building quality. The purpose of this research is to appraise satisfaction of low income people who live in the 21 and 36 house types at the 9 (nine) location in South and West Denpasar, based on the 6 (six) factors, such as location, building quality, infrastructures, public facilities, design and price. This research used purposive sampling technique and survey method to collect data by distributing questionnaires directly to the respondents. Generally the result of the research finds out that the residents are satisfied with the whole condition of the residence. However, Anova analysis has found that there are satisfaction differences on several factors, such as infrastructures and public facilities. Meanwhile, Factor analysis has found that building quality, design and price are the major factors in appraising resident's satisfaction. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Masalah perumahan sederhana dewasa ini relatif mahalnya lahan, sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memenuhi standar dan kualitas bangunan yang kurang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kepuasan penghuni perumahan sederhana tipe 21 dan tipe 36 pada 9 (sembilan) lokasi perumahan sederhana di Denpasar Barat dan Selatan, berdasarkan 6 (enam) faktor yaitu lokasi, prasarana, sarana, kualitas bangunan, desain dan harga. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dan metode survei yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data dengan menyebarkan kuesioner secara langsung kepada responden. Secara umum hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penghuni merasa puas terhadap kondisi keseluruhan perumahan yang mereka huni. Namun hasil analisis Anova menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan kepuasan pada beberapa faktor yaitu faktor prasarana dan sarana. Sedangkan hasil analisis faktor menunjukkan bahwa faktor kualitas bangunan, desain dan harga merupakan faktor utama dalam pertimbangan penilaian kepuasan oleh penghuni. Kata kunci: kepuasan penghuni, lokasi, prasarana, sarana, kualitas bangunan, desain dan harga.

Abstract

Nowadays, internationally recognized test results of construction materials are critical for companies handling government projects in the construction sector. A university's Concrete and Construction Laboratory sees commercialization as a way to expand its capacity and usage to this potential market. The standardization strategy employed in this research is to implement and obtain ISO 17025:2017 accreditation. Preparation of required documents is carried out as the first step in preparing for accreditation. Preparation is done by identifying document requirements, identifying business processes, identifying document completeness using a checklist, analyzing document completeness, and generating conclusions. The results of the identification and analysis of the completeness of the documents using the checklist show that the documents that need to be made by this University’s Concrete and Construction Laboratory are as many as 70 documents and the four documents that have been owned need to be adjusted according to the requirements of ISO 17025:2017.
