Abstract

Discipline is a crucial aspect in forming a child's character, especially at an early age. This research aims to describe efforts to improve children's discipline through the application of the storytelling method with hand puppets. This method was chosen because the interactive and interesting storytelling approach is expected to convey disciplinary values in a way that is easy for children to understand. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with research subjects consisting of group B students at Ar-Rofah Kindergarten, Baros sub-district, Serang Regency. Data was collected through direct observation of children's behavior during storytelling activities, interviews with teachers and parents, and analysis of activity documentation. The research results show that the method of telling stories using hand puppets contributes positively to increasing children's discipline, especially in terms of compliance with rules, listening to instructions, and regularity in daily activities. Children seemed more interested and focused during storytelling activities, which resulted in their more disciplined behavior in class. These findings indicate that the storytelling method using hand puppets can be an effective strategy in supporting the disciplinary development of early childhood.

Abstract

Literacy development in early childhood is an important part of basic education. Microlearning, which presents learning material in short and focused form, can be one solution to increase children's interest and understanding of literacy. This research aims to develop microlearning-based learning media that is effective in increasing early childhood literacy. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. This research was conducted at TKIT Nusantara Banten, the subjects in this research were children aged 4-6 years. The research results show that microlearning-based learning media can significantly improve children's literacy skills compared to conventional learning methods. Thus, microlearning can be used as an effective alternative learning method for young children.

Abstract

The development of computer and internet technology has triggered changes in the way we live starting from social interactions, commerce and banking. The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 also increased the acceleration of human civilization into the era of industrial revolution 4.0 and 5.0 in a short time and has changed the way students learn. To welcome the era of society 5.0, Indonesia must have human resource competencies, one of which is creativity. This research aims to determine the application of the Canva-based Project Based Learning learning model in increasing student learning creativity at Pasundan I Vocational School, Serang City. This research uses classroom action research methods. This research design uses the Kemmis & Taggart model which consists of planning, acting and observing, reflecting components which are carried out repeatedly (cycles) for up to 3 cycles. This research found results namely the Application of Learning Models Project Based Learning Canva-based can increase student learning creativity, increased student creativity is supported by the long completion time for Canva application-based design projects of between 4-5 days; the existence of a WhatsApp group as a space for communication and sharing information, both tricks and tips about Canva and Design; as well as comfortable conditions and situations in every discussion and study both offline and online. EnhancementStudent Learning Creativity This occurred by 36% from 12% to 48% in cycle II and 36% from 58% to 84% in cycle III until students could meet the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 75.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh orang tua yang menyekolahkan anaknya di sekolah dasar tanpa memperhatikan kesiapan anaknya. Orang tua hanya mengukur kesiapan anaknya masuk sekolah dasar dengan melihat satu aspek saja, seperti kemampuan membaca anak, tanpa memperhatikan aspek kematangan perkembangan yang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada orang tua tentang peran apa saja yang harus mereka mainkan dan strategi apa saja yang harus mereka gunakan untuk mempersiapkan anaknya masuk sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga orang tua yang memiliki anak usia dini yang akan memasuki jenjang pendidikan dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua memiliki pandangan yang sama tentang kesiapan anaknya masuk sekolah dasar yaitu memiliki kemampuan akademik dan keberanian, dan strategi orang tua dalam mempersiapkan anak bervariasi, seperti memberikan panutan yang baik dan memberikan pendampingan langsung di rumah. Dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa orang tua memiliki persepsi tentang kesiapan anaknya masuk sekolah dasar yaitu orang tua berpandangan bahwa mempersiapkan anak masuk sekolah dasar harus memiliki kemampuan akademik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited expressive language skills of most children aged 4–5 years at the Al-Fauzan PAUD, Tenjoayu Village, Tanara, Serang Regency. The purpose of the research is to examine the implementation of role-playing activities in improving the expressive language development of early childhood. The method used is descriptive qualitative with primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive picture of the research focus. Data analysis of this research refers to the qualitative approach of Miles & Huberman which emphasizes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions so that the research results reflect the real social context. The results of the study indicate that role-playing activities make a significant contribution to improving children's expressive language skills. Theoretically, the results of this study are supported by Vygotsky's view of the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) which emphasizes the importance of social interaction and the role of teachers in helping children achieve higher language skills. The conclusion of the study shows that role-playing activities at the Al-Fauzan PAUD are implemented through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages with a thematic approach that is appropriate to the characteristics of children aged 4–5 years. This activity effectively improves vocabulary, the use of complete sentences, and children's confidence in speaking

Abstract

The main problem in this research is the underdeveloped gross motor skll of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Al-Falah, Pontang District. This issue arises due to the limited variety of physical activities and the suboptimal use of educational play tools. This study aims to explore how the implementation of the traditional bakiak game can improve children's gross motor skill., A qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the bakiak game enhances several aspects of gross motor skills, such as balance, coordination, muscle strength, and agility. Additionally, the activity fosters children's social abilities, including cooperation, discipline, and self confidence. Teachers responded positively, noting that the activity is easy to implement and engaging for children. In conclusion, the bakiak game is effective in supporting the development of gross motor skils in early childhood education settings

Abstract

This study was conducted to address the research questions regarding how the implementation of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) can be promoted through physical activities in children aged 5–6 years at KB PAUD Al-Hidayah, Serang Regency. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of physical activities in improving PHBS among early childhood students. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method consisting of two cycles, each including the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 9 children aged 5–6 years. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and field notes. The results showed a noticeable improvement in PHBS after the children participated in physical activities. The children began to develop habits such as washing hands with soap before meals, throwing trash in the designated place, and maintaining body hygiene after activities. These improvements were significantly evident in each cycle, as indicated by the observation sheets. The study concludes that enjoyable and structured physical activities can serve as an effective medium for instilling PHBS in early childhood. It is recommended that teachers integrate physical activities into daily routines and collaborate with parents to reinforce PHBS habits at home. Furthermore, health authorities are encouraged to support this program.

Abstract

The lack of ability and strength of children in using hand and finger skills to throw and catch the ball is due to the less than optimal use of learning methods that involve physical activity. Therefore, this study aims to determine the use of play activities using the demonstration method to improve children's gross motor skills. The type of research used is classroom action research which is carried out collaboratively together with teachers. The subjects of the study were 21 children in class B of PAUD AN-Nabila. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and documentation. The study was conducted in three cycles, in one cycle, five research actions were carried out. The results of the study stated that playing throwing and catching a ball with a demonstration method can improve children's gross motor skills and this can be seen from the increase in each cycle. The highest average class score obtained from the pre-cycle to cycle I increased by 18.85%. and cycle I to cycle II experienced an increase of 15.45%, then the average class score in cycle II reached 89.53%. Therefore, this study is considered successful because the increase in children's fine motor skills in cycle II meets the established success criteria of 71% agreed upon by researchers and colleagues
