Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan jenis kesalahan dalam penggunaan tense(bentuk waktu) past tense yang dibuat oleh siswa kelas satu SMA Negeri 2 Lhokseumawe. Dalam menulis kalimat, para siswa diminta untuk menulis bebas tentang pengalaman mereka ketika liburan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga memberikan identifikasi dan penjelasan dari jenis kesalahan untuk mengetahui jenis kesalahan yang sering dilakukan. Sampel penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X-4 SMA Negeri 2 Lhokseumawe dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 32. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menerapkan teori error analysis dari beberapa buku dan referensi yang berhubungan dengan analisis kesalahan dan tata bahasa dan juga memberikan tes untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian. Kemudian data dianalisa untuk menentukan kesalahan tata bahasa dari kalimat yang menandainya, merekonstruksi kalimat tersebut, menganalis kalimat yang memiliki kesalahan, mengelompokkan jenis kesalahan, dan menghitung setiap jenis kesalahan untuk mengetahui jenis kesalahan mana yang paling sering dibuat oleh siswa. Data menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang melakukan kesalahan pada Omission sebanyak 64 kesalahan, Addition 29 kesalahan, misformation sebanyak 83 kesalahan.dengan persentase kesalahan pada bagian orientation sebanyak 61 (35%), pada bagian Events sebanyak 82(46%), dan pada bagian reorientation sebanyak 23(19%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penulis menyarankan bahwa siswa harus lebih fokus dalam memahami penggunaan past tense khususnya pada perubahan bentuk kata kerja baik dalam bentuk kata kerja yang beraturan dan tidak beraturan , dan juga dalam penggunaan kata kerja bantu (Auxiliaries). Selain itu, guru juga perlu mengetahui bahwa siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam hal perubahan kata kerja pada bentuk past tense, dan dapat menerapkan metode baru.

Abstract

 Abstract. This study aims to determine the use of inquiry-based learning model laboratory to increase critical thinking skills of students of SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh on light reflection material. The method used is a quasi-experimental control group design with pre-test and post-test design. The population in this study is in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. As for the samples in the study were students VIII2 as an experimental class, and the class as a class VIII5 control the number of students in each class of 30 people. Experimental class taught by laboratory-based inquiry learning model, and the control class was taught by conventional learning models. Data collected through the research instrument is test critical thinking skills in essay form. Conclusions are drawn based on the results of data analysis and processing using Microsoft Word Exel, 2013. The results of data analysis showed an average score of critical thinking skills and experimental control group was 27.90% (low) and 42.02% (moderate). This result was also confirmed by the t-test, the average difference in the improvement of critical thinking skills (α = 0.05) obtained t (6.10) t table (2.39). These results indicate a laboratory-based inquiry learning model can significantly improve the students' critical thinking skills compared with conventional learning models in light reflection material.Keywords: Model inquiry, and critical thinking skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan dan keterampilan calon guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran sehingga peserta didik tertarik dan termotivasi dalam belajar dan aktivitas yang ditunjukan secara optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru dalam penguasaan konsep media dan bahan ajar IPA berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL), (2) kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru IPA dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPA berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang penilaiannya terdiri dari penilaian konsep dan penilaian instrumen pengembangan media dan bahan ajar IPA yang kedua data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan rumus perhitungan presentasi. Hasil data yang dikumpulkan melalui penilaian tersebut memperoleh jumlah presentase yaitu pada tahapan (1) penilaian konsep dengan jumlah total presentase mendapatkan kualitas kategori baik (77.3%) yang terdiri dari 10 mahasiswa calon guru IPA mendapatkan kategori baik dan 2 orang mahasiswa lainnya mendapatkan kategori sangat baik. Tahapan (2) penilaian instrument yang meliputi (materi dengan kategori baik (72.8%), desain pembelajaran dengan kategori cukup (64.64%), media komunikasi pembelajaran dengan kategori baik (76.25%), dan ketertarikan peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran dengan kategori cukup (70.7%).

Abstract

Based on the results of observations in the field, most students at SMPN 1 Darul Imarah Aceh Besar school tend to like subjects without mathematics, one of which is art, at the time of observation there were even students who came out of class to make art and chose not science subjects because according to students that science is very complicated. With the presence of comic media it is hoped that it will arouse students' enthusiasm for learning, because comic media is an alternative media for playing while learning. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of comic media can improve cognitive and affective learning outcomes of students in straight-motion material in class VIII of SMPN 1 Darul Imarah Aceh Besar. The research method used in this study is to use a quasi-experimental method (Quasi Experiment), with Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design. Samples were taken from class VIII-4 as an experimental class and class VIII-3 as a control class. Data collection is done by tests and questionnaires. Based on the results of hypothesis testing that has been done, using the t test with a significant level α = 0.05 and dk = 38. The calculation results obtained t_count> t_table is 3.31> 1.68, Based on t test then tcount> tTable, then Ha accepted and H0 rejected, which states that the influence of the use of comic media to improve cognitive and affective learning outcomes of students in the subject of straight motion in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Darul Imarah Aceh Besar and the response of students Very Agree (SS = 58%), Agree (S = 37.5%), Less Agree (KS = 3%), Disagree (TS = 1%), and Strongly Disagree (STS = 0.5%).

Abstract

Current education shows that students' critical thinking skills are often underdeveloped due to learning approaches that focus more on knowledge transfer than exploration and problem solving. Burhani epistemology, which emphasises rational and analytical thinking, offers an alternative approach that can improve students'ccritical thinking skills. This study aims to examine how the internalisation of burhani epistemology in learning can improve students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the method of documentation study and literature analysis. The research was conducted by analysing literature review and document analysis of teaching materials. Qualitative data was analysed using thematic analysis techniques. The results showed that the internalisation of burhani epistemology in learning improves students' critical thinking skills. Through the implementation of the burhani concept will have a positive impact on the development of students' reasoning power, learning that involves rational and examination of a problem, the function of reason will automatically be wide open. Through the concept of burhani reasoning, thinking and study are carried out comprehensively on the verses of the Qur'an, of course it can minimise the occurrence of blind taklid to religious teachings, for that learning through the burhani concept will give students more freedom in making discoveries and giving birth to new theories in learning activities. The results of the study confirm that the internalisation of burhani epistemology in learning can have a positive impact on the development of students' critical thinking skills. Recommendations for wider application of this concept as well as training for teachers in the burhani method are suggested to improve the quality of education and maximise students' intellectual potential.

Abstract

Pada saat ini di Kota Lhokseumawe, sering sekali terjadinya aksi pembegalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah sistem informasi geografis yang dapat memetakan daerah rawan begal di Kota Lhokseumawe. Adapun data dalam penelitian ini didapakan dari Polres Lhokseumawe. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh lokasi daerah rawan begal dengan kasus terbanyak adalah daerah Blang Payang dan Panggoi. Dengan adanya penelitian ini dapat memudahkan instansi terkait dan masyarakat dalam mendapatkan informasi tentang daerah rawan begal di Kota Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris mulai diperkenalkan dari sekolah dasar bahkan taman kanak-kanak, namun demikian Bahasa Inggris sangat sulit dikuasai dikarenakan penggunaan Bahasa Inggris di Indonesia bukanlah Bahasa pertama (first language) dan Bahasa kedua (second language) melainkan Bahasa asing (foreign language). Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris siswa MTs Negeri 4 Aceh Utara sebagai bahasa komunikasi global yang digunakan di seluruh dunia. Metode pelaksanaan kegiataan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi salah satu metode efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara (speaking skill), yaitu metode drill untuk memudahkan mereka memahami terkait edukasi pentingnya Bahasa Inggris dalam pembelajaran di MTs Negeri 4 Aceh utara.  Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Selain itu siswa juga sangat antusias dalam mempraktekkan salah satu metode efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara (speaking skill), yaitu metode drill. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini diharapkan siswa MTs Negeri 4 Aceh Utara dapat meningkatkan minatnya dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris era globalisasi.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge to Elementary School 5’s teachers in Syamtalira Aron about how to create Canva-based learning presentation media. The method we apply is direct assistance to teachers in the process of creating Canva-based Learning Presentation Media. Our team will provide intensive guidance to assist teachers in mastering the use of Canva and designing effective presentation media. The expected outcome of this service activity is to offer substantial support to teachers, enabling them to independently create learning presentation media that suit their needs. By focusing on Canva as a creative tool, we want to ensure that teachers can optimize the use of presentation media in their learning process. Through this assistance, it is hoped that teachers will acquire not only new knowledge but also practical skills in creating engaging and effective learning materials. It is hoped that this assistance can offer sustainable solutions for teachers in addressing the challenges of modern learning. Keywords: Mentoring, Learning Presentation Media, Canva.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of product quality and service quality on customer satisfaction at Ghathaf Coffee Premium, Teupin Punti, North Aceh. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 75 regular customers who have experience with Ghathaf Coffee Premium products and services, and the data were processed using SPSS 29. The results of regression analysis show that product quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, with a regression coefficient value of 0.462 and a t-value of 5.159 > 1.666. Service quality also has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, with a regression coefficient value of 0.223 and a t-value of 3.087 > 1.666 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Together, product quality and service quality have a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction at Ghathaf Coffee Premium Teupin Punti, North Aceh. The implications of this study highlight the importance for Ghathaf Coffee Premium to continuously improve its product and service quality to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen its market position.

Abstract

Despite the critical role of personality in academic success, schools frequently overlook the unique needs of introverted students in EFL classrooms, where tailored instructional strategies can significantly improve their engagement and understanding. This study builds on prior research that primarily examined speaking instructions, highlighting the overlooked instances of introversion in various skill-specific classrooms. It examined the pedagogical strategies employed by teachers in a classroom with introverted EFL learner minority. The primary objective of this study is to identify the challenges faced by the teachers, the various strategies they employed to accommodate the unique learning needs of introverted EFL learners in the context of English language learning, as well as the effectiveness of the strategies from the perspectives of the teachers. Employing a qualitative research design, this study utilized purposive sampling to select the participants and collected the data through interviews with three English teachers at MTsN 1 Mandailing Natal. The findings revealed that during the instructional process, the teachers encountered several challenges in effectively engaging with introverted learners, which include the introvert EFL learners’ lack of interest in engaging in the class activities and their limited mastery of vocabulary. The findings also disclosed a set of strategies that can support introverted learners, including modeling, small-group discussions, game-based instruction, autonomous study, and peer teaching. All participants expressed positive perceptions regarding their learners’ experiences teaching introverted learners, suggesting the effectiveness of these strategies in enhancing the motivation of introverted learners and achieving educational objectives. The study highlights the imperativeness for educators to thoughtfully consider diverse characteristics of introverted students to foster their motivation within the classroom environment by exerting considerable effort to stimulate engagement from introverted EFL learners within the classroom setting.
