Abstract

This study discusses one of contemporary issue in International Relations namely an environmental issue regarding the Greenpeace campaign program in caring Indonesia’s marine coral reef ecosystems. From 2017 to 2021, it is reported that 35,15% of Indonesia’s marine coral reefs are in poor condition. Although a number of efforts have been made to restore coral reefs, they are still too little compared to the destruction caused by humans. Hence, Greenpeace as one of the suitable NGO actively takes part in caring and protecting Indonesia’s marine coral reef ecosystems. This study uses a qualitative method to narrate the destruction of coral reefs phenomenon and to describe the progress of Greenpeace program in carrying out their roles to conserve coral reefs. In order to analyse this case, this study uses Non-Governmental Organization Theory and Pluralism approach.The findings of this study resulted in Greenpeace has been executing their roles as independent actor focusing on environmental issue, namely as a motivator, communicator, dynamisator and facilitator by holding a number of campaign programs in a number Indonesia’s National Park known with their greatest coral reefs diversity which takes place in Raja Ampat Island, Karimunjawa Island and Spemonde Island. Abstract

Along with the increasing rice consumption of Indonesian people, the national rice production also increase. The rice production in Indonesia increases but the government remains to import the rice in order to fulfill the domestic rice demand. The rice import development of Indonesia tends to be fluctuative every year. The biggest rice import that enters into Indonesia comes from Vietnam and Thailand. Both countries are the countries that have the biggest rice production total in Asia. Hence, the high price from the both countries, so Indonesia chooses to import Pakistan’s rice where this country is the fourth rice production country with the low price. The method of data collecting is done by collecting secunder data, then analyzed in qualitative to obtain the draft about the main problem by using deductive method. The method of this research is the method of qualitative descriptive. The data is obtained through secunder data such as, book, journal, magazine, newspaper and website. From the research result, for fulfilling the own rice needs and making the local farmer prosperous so Indonesia increases the productivity and the increase of plantation index to be three times. Abstract

This research describe the respons of Indonesia toward the economic protectionisme policy of Nigeria in 2012-2016. Nigeria are one of states in Africa Regions that have a big populations and a potency in oil and mineral. As a states that have a big potency in oil and mineral so Nigeria have a big impor then export in order that since 2004 the Government of Nigeria have done implemented the economic protectionisme policy likes import prohibit policy, tariff porduct policy and standarizations product. Thats policy have impact for export product from Indonesia because nigeria are one of market potention Indonesia from export non oil mineral product.The research method used was a qualitative with descriptive as a technic of the research. Writer collects data from books, encyclopedia, journal, mass media and websites to analyze the respons of Indonesia toward the economic protectionisme policy of Nigeria. The theories applied in this research are merchantilism with the nations state analyze and national interest concept, the foregin policy theory.The research have conclusions that the respons of Indonesia toward the economic protectionisme policy of Nigeria are by somes step policy likes Government of Indonesia have a create Indonesia Trade Promotions Centre (ITPC) in Lagos Nigeria as a tade missions by Trade Agency, The Government of Indonesia and Nigeria have a dealling about Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) and the Government of Indonesia create a international bussiness exhibitions in Nigeria and Tunisia for market brief in Nigeria.Key words: respons, economics, protectionime and policy

Abstract

The focus of this paper is to explain the interest of the United States in eliminating Indonesia from the category of developing countries. The United States through the USTR considers that several indicators of the regulations they set on trade have shown that Indonesia is not a developing country that deserves to receive subsidized facilities in their trade cooperation. That is why by taking into account the country's per capita income and the joining of Indonesia as a member of the G20 countries, then Indonesia is categorized as a developed country This paper uses the perspective of Neoliberalism which focuses on the theory of the National Interest. By using the theory of national interest, this study aims to reveal the interests of the United States in eliminating Indonesia from the category of developing countries. This study shows that the interests of the United States in eliminating Indonesia from the category of developing countries are in order to maintain Indonesia's important role in the United States, increasing excise tariffs, political interests, opening foreign markets and fighting unfair trade, fair trade, and achieving organizational excellence. Keywords: Interest, USTR, Trade

Abstract

This research is trying to explain about Implementation of FSC (Forest Stewarship Council) Certification on Eco-Products in Indonesia. FSC (Forest Stewarship Council) is an international organization non-profit, independent, non-goverment to promote responsible forest management in the world.This research is using perspective Pluralism, theory green thought and international organization, and level of analysis is non-governmental organization. This research is also applying qualitative methods and the data obtained comes from book, journals, documents, articles, interest sites and other sources telated to this research.Implementation of FSC sertification for eco-product that is to consumer goods in Indonesia. Eco-product are environmental friendly products. The purchasing power of Indonesia society in general is still relatively low in the appeal of Europe. Currently FSC Indonesia purpose to improved public awareness about the benefits of FSC labels. Abstract

This present research describes the politics and economics policy of Indonesia toward global economic crisis in 2010-2016. Global economic crisis was happened since 2008 when economic crisis in United States of America. The crisis in United States of America have impact for the world and one of the states that have impacts are Indonesia. Inflations and good price in Indonesia was influenced by this crisis.The research method used was a qualitative with descriptive as a technic of the research. Writer collects data from books, encyclopedia, journal, mass media and websites to analyze the politics and economics policy of Indonesia toward global economic crisis. The theories applied in this research are merchantilism perspective with the decision making theory by Richard Snyder about foreign analyze factors.The conclusion of the research that the politics and economics policy of Indonesia toward global economic crisis are have done by some policy. In economics scope the policy of Indonesia are have done a moneter policies like moneter stimulations, banking system and balance payment. And in politics policy were done by some policy likes tax allowance and tax amnesty policy and free vissa policy.Key words: policy, economics, politics and global crisis

Abstract

 This reseach explain about role of internastional organization  FAO on getting into a scrabe food crisis disaster. This reseach using a descriptive to explain about  food in Syria. According Maflecroft report Syria as become the first country getting into trouble food insecurity. It is certainly impact to food sovereignity soit will effecting on food crisis. Syria food crisis is twothings. First, situation of  Syrian conflict seemed to be an endless war. Second, global climate change on 2006 have been effecting to flood and dryness. It caused Syria have ekstrim climate change, mountain range and bad irrigation. This study use the qualitative research methode with library reseach. The sources of data are from the journals, books and the internet sites. This study uses the role international organization theory and non-state level of analysis. The reseach shows that Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has an important role in handling  of food crisis in Syria with an implementation program. Keywords, Food and Agriculture Organization, Food Crisis, conflict, global change.

Abstract

This reserach describes the collaboration between UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) and Indonesia within developing tourism sector in Pangandaran 2011-2013. Tourism sector is an important component of the Indonesia economy, and Pangandaran is one of the popular tourism destinations in West Java that contribute in Indonesia economy. However, due to the tsunami disaster in 2006 severely effect within tourism in Pangandaran. The purpose of this research is to explain the STREAM (Sustainable Tourism through Energy Efficiency with Adaptation and Mitigation Measures) project as a form of collaboration between UNWTO and Indonesia in developing the tourism sector in Pangandaran to revitalizing the tourism area.This research uses qualitative methods with techniques of writing a literature review through the secondary data which are already available in the literature, books, journals and website searches. This research also uses pluralism perspective, international organization theory and collaboration theory to explain collaborating between UNWTO and Indonesia.The result of this research indicates that the STREAM project has made Pangandaran as tourism areas that are resistant to the climate change and able to increase tourist arrivals, both local and foreign. This research also shows the successful of the STREAM project. One of the success factors of this project is the involvement of the local community and surrounding communities during the project was implemented. The STREAM project in Pangandaran is being implemented by UNWTO together with the Indonesia Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. The project is also part of the International Climate Initiative (ICI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.Keywords: UNWTO, Tourism, STREAM Project, Climate Change

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain about Implementation of Coral Reef Rehabilitation and Management Program-Coral Triangle Initiative (Coremap-CTI) in Batam, Riau Archipelago. Coremap-CTI is a program implemented by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia in cooperation with Asian Development Bank (ADB) as a fund donor in Batam City area. The purposes of Coremap – CTI programme are to keep coral ecosystems and improve the society’s prosperity of the area.This research is using perspective Green Thought, unit of analysis is international system, and also using concept of sustainable development, conservation and political ecoligy. Sources were obtained through literature review from journals, books, reports, and internet to explain Coremap-CTI. Researcher also did an interview from informant that conduct for the program.This research indicated that implementated Coremap-CTI programme influencing the public knowledge of the importance of protecting coral reefs and avoid illegal fishing. Abstract

This sister city cooperation has background because of internationalrelation cooperation that in the beginning, it has come from intercity cooperationin Europe and United States since 1950’s. The first concept implementation is ascountry politic, economic diplomatic tool in regional and international level. Theimplementation becomes support for people to create fellowship and constructivecooperation, both interelement of society, city, local and central intergovernementand interstate in the whole wide world. This sister city cooperation is a goodbridge that is really needed by developing countries, like Indonesian withAustralia.This research is done by using descriptive analysis method. Thedescriptive analysis research meaning is describing, explaining researchsubject/object based on the data where the research began from general things,explained by collecting, arranging, and interpreting data based on this thesisclassification. The data collecting technique uses library research by varioussources like: book, journal, magazine, document, essay etc. The researcher alsouse internet media as source of data, because researcher limitation to findoriginal data.This research result described that this sister city cooperation affectivityruns well, but not all aspects that are concluded in the agreement run affectively.This cooperation still needs to be developed so all planned aspects run well.
