Abstract

             This research focuses on examining technical cooperation between Indonesia and Japan in the development of the Ulos Weaving Industry in Samosir in a program called The Project on Small and Medium Industry Development Based on Improved Service Delivery (SMIDeP) based on the medium-term national development plan (2010-2014 ) and Indonesia's long-term development plan (2005-2025). Based on a survey of the project's expert team, Samosir Regency is one of the target areas with the potential for developing Service Delivery-based industries.This research was developed based on the Liberalism framework which is supported by the theory of international cooperation with the level of state analysis, where the state becomes the main actor in international relations. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through library research (Library Research).The implementation of the SMIDeP project in Samosir through capacity building, promotion and marketing activities and strengthening the Joint Business Group (KUB). The project made an important contribution to the development of the Weaving Ulos industry in Samosir Regency, such as product diversification and increased product sales. Keywords: Implementation, SMIDeP, Service Delivery, Tenun Ulos Industry, Samosir.

Abstract

This research discusses about electronic waste (e-waste) heap in Ghana which comes from the whole world which has given negative impacts for humans and ecosystems around garbage stacked and processed. Despite having signed the agreement of The Basel Convention which regulates about export ban of e-waste, but around 500 containers contain obsolete electronics landed in Agbogbloshie, Ghana every month. Ineffectiveness of efforts to address e-waste, has invited non-party state to contribute in e-waste management, one of non-party is Blacksmith Institute.The methode which is used in this research is qualitative research methods descriptively. As this research interprets related conditions with the problems and develops the data obtained from various sources, such as books, journal and articles on the official website.The purpose of this research is to give the consciousness on using technology sustainability with environmental conservation because in this globalization era, the electric and eletronic equipment (EEE) demand are more increasing which are caused the result of the production rest is also getting bigger, moreover the end-of-life of the EEE is not often managed properly.Keywords: e-waste, Ghana, Blacksmith Institute

Abstract

This research describes the policy of Indonesian Government create a Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre in South Korea in 2012. The trade relationss between Indonesia and South Korea have a big increase. Since 2006 Indonesia and South Korea Government have a deall about the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Republic of Indonesia and Republic of Korea to Promote Friendship and Cooperation in the 21st Century.The research method used was a qualitative with descriptive as a technic of the research. Writer collects data from books, encyclopedia, journal, mass media and websites to analyze the policy of Indonesian Government create a Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre in South Korea. The theories applied in this research are decisions making policy theory by Viotti and Kaupi and national interest concept from Donald E. NUchterlain.The research shows that policy of Indonesian Government create a Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre in South Korea are becaus defisits of Indoesian export to South Korea and also with create a Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre in South Korea, Indonesia Government can give some information about market brief and market opportunities in South Korea for the Company from Indonesia.Key words: Decision Making, ITPC, Indonesian Policy, Cooperation

Abstract

This study aims to explain the general picture of Illegal Logging in Indonesia and the role of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Indonesian policies in dealing with illegal logging in Indonesia. The research method used was qualitative research. This research was focused on discussing the role of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Indonesian policies in dealing with illegal logging. Then, the researcher was gave time limits for the phenomena or problems to be examined, namely in 2014-2018.                This research used the pluralism theory. The research also used International Organization analysis. The study concluded that UNEP provides effective programs in solving illegal logging problems that occur in Indonesia. These programs are CDM, REDD +, and the Great Apes Survival Partnership (GRASP). These programs do not directly give solution for the problem of illegal logging in Indonesia, but it was very effective in solving the problem of illegal logging generally. Because with the program above, indirectly Indonesia’s forests will be increasingly tightly guarded by the Indonesian government and increasingly narrow the perpetrators of illegal logging in Indonesia. Keywords: Role, UNEP Program, Illegal Logging

Abstract

This research explain about Timor Leste Wants to Join ASEAN Membership, This is an opportunity to improve the country 's profile in the region in addition to economic and political advantages which can be obtained by becoming a member of ASEAN. since Timor Leste applied to join the members of asean untill recently Timor leste has not been accepted as an ASEAN memberhip. One of ASEAN membershipa assume Timor Leste can’t be a membership of ASEAN because the gap with the other Asean member countries it feared would be problem fo ASEAN.This research theoretically has built by using Morghenthau Neoclassical Realism perspective on International Relationsand supported by Foreign Policy theory from James N. Rossenau. Formulation of all arguments, data, facts, and theoritical framework in this research using qualitative explanation methods.This research also using nation-state as the level of analyze, the focus on this research Timor Leste in diplomatic efforts became a membership of asean.To accepts Timor Leste doing diplomacy to of ASEAN membership. Timor Leste interlacing good relationship with membership of ASEAN. Abstract

This research describe about the the impact of foreign workers the social community in Dumai City. Labor in the city of Dumai come from various countries, and the majority come from the Chinese State. they come up with a good quality work. With the high mobility of labor between countries make Dumai City which became one of the cities in Indonesia are feeling the effects of the foreign workers.This study found that the presence of foreign workers in Dumai City provides a wide range of social impact in society, for the example can increase revenue (PAD), and improve the lives of people in Dumai. Abstract

The reserach aims to determine how the role of foreign countries involves in humanitarian aid and perceptive disaster response to the disaster-affected country. The case of this research is about the Australian aid toward the tsunami-affected region in Indonesia which is Aceh province in 2004. One of Australia's roles in the tsunami disaster is the recovery assistance in the agricultural sector undertaken by ACIAR (Australian Centre For International Agricultural Research).This research uses qualitative methods with techniques of writing a literature review through the secondary data which are already available in the literature and website searches. The collected data are analyzed with theoretical approaches related to International Relations, International Cooperation and the Role of the State. The author also uses the concept of foreign aid in the case of this study.The result of this research indicates any form of cooperation between the Australian government and the Indonesian government, especially in Aceh on the recovery of the agricultural sector through ACIAR assistance. The formed cooperations in ACIAR projects cooperate with the Agency for Agricultural Technology (BPTP) Aceh. ACIAR assistance program is the rehabilitation of land and crop management to increase agricultural productivity. ACIAR project aid has given a positive impact on farmers' agricultural activities along the coastal areas of Aceh after the tsunami.Keywords: Disaster, Foreign Aid, ACIAR, Rehabilitation of land

Abstract

This thesis describes the policy changes that occurred in the two leadership,in three periods of the reign of president rebuplik Indonesia 6th and 7th Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (2004-2014) until Joko Widodo (2014-present). Where this cooperation include cooperation between the Republic of Indonesia and the Republic of China. In this case cooperation between the two countries that are in economic, political, trade, industry, tourism, culture etc.Those changes that occur that can impact in inside and outside the country. In the reign of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Indonesia and China is a partner of a close cooperation relationship, but China is not yet a trading partner key to Indonesia, while during the reign of Joko Widodo, the state China has become the country's most influential and Indonesia is now highly dependent on this bamboo curtain country, so that today China is a major trading partner for Indonesia.Keywords: policy change, cooperation, Tiongkok

Abstract

This research will explain about Indonesian government policy in making a visa-free agreement towards El Salvador. Indonesia and El Salvador began to establish diplomatic relations in 2011. Relations between Indonesia and El Salvador more closely in caused both countries are equally members of the Forum of East Asia - Latin America coorporatin ( FEALAC ) . In 2013 Indonesia and El Salvador agreed to the opening of the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries. Furthermore, both countries have visa-free agreement in 2015.Sources were obtained through literature review from journals, books, mini thesis, reports, and internet to explain why Indonesian government imposed a visa-free policy. the author uses the realist perspective to explain the Indonesian government policy and using the theory of foreign policy.This research indicates the reason of Indonesian government imposed a visa-free policy toward El Salvador is to open up a new market for Indonesian exports . Because Indonesia's exports slow compared with the previous year because Indonesian exports in the five countries which are the main export destinations of Indonesia and the European are in crisis.Keywords: visa-free agreement, Indonesia’s foreign policy, Bilateral cooperation

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of the Korean Wave on Tokopedia's marketing strategy in Indonesia in 2019-2020. The Korean Wave has become a global phenomenon that can't be separated from the role of non-state actors in the process of spreading it. BTS is one of the actors from the Korean Wave who is categorized as a global artist and brings a positive message to several young people. This Korean Wave phenomenon was then used by several companies, one of which was Tokopedia. In 2019, Tokopedia officially appointed BTS as the brand ambassador who will carry the brand image of Tokopedia. According to Tokopedia, BTS has a shared vision and can help convey Tokopedia's message to the world. This received good reception and support from several fans.This study uses a qualitative method, with data collection through literature studies sourced from several books, journals, articles, and websites. This study uses the perspective of Economic Liberalism and the theory of Economic Globalization. The results of this research indicate that the influence of the Korean Wave on the marketing strategy of Tokopedia has increased sales at Tokopedia. Based on the data obtained, Tokopedia experienced an increase in the frequency of order volume by 109.3%, an increase in transactions by 81.1%, and an increase in sales volume by 133% with the majority of sellers consisting of MSMEs. In addition, Tokopedia experienced an increase of 5 million visits and as many as 5,000 items were sold every minute at the ‘Waktu Indonesia Belanja’ event which was filled with BTS as brand ambassadors and several well-known idol groups from South Korea. The Indonesian government also supports Tokopedia to help MSMEs to be able to enter the international market.Keywords: Korean Wave, Marketing Strategy, Tokopedia
