<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kebutuhan informasi pemustaka terhadap koleksi Minangkabau di Perpustakaan Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat, (2) kebijakan pengembangan koleksi Minangkabau di Perpustakaan Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat, (3) seleksi koleksi Minangkabau di Perpustakaan Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat, (4) pengadaan koleksi Minangkabau di Perpustakaan Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Perpustakaan Dearah Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Sampel penelitian ini adalah koleksi muatan Minangkabau di Perpustakaan Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan sebagai berikut: Pertama, kebutuhan informasi koleksi Minangkabau tidak dilakukan oleh pustakawan, upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu melakukan observasi pada pemustaka yang berkunjung. Pemustaka membutuhkan koleksi karya ilmiah. Kedua, kebijakan pengembangan koleksi Minangkabau dalam unsur kebijakan umum yaitu cakupan wilayah pemustaka yang dilayani tidak dibatasi dan penambahan koleksi Minangkabau tidak dibatasi. Dalam unsur rincian koleksi yaitu koleksi jurnal Minangkabau, upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah pustakawan melakukan observasi ke pemustaka yang berkunjung untuk mengetahui bidang subjek koleksi yang dibutuhkan oleh pemustaka. Ketiga, seleksi koleksi Minangkabau tidak berjalan dengan baik, upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh pustakawan adalah melakukan seleksi dan identifikasi dengan menggunakan alat seperti bibliografi, melakukan verifikasi terhadap data koleksi yang dimiliki oleh perpustakaan dan membuat laporan hasil seleksi. Keempat, pengadaan koleksi Minangkabau di Perpustakaan Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat memiliki beberapa sistem yaitu hunting, hadiah, hibah, penggandaan. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah melakukan pembelian pada koleksi Minangkabau, agar koleksi sesuai dengan kebutuhan pemustaka.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the implementation of Proklamator Bung Hatta’s library Unit Bukittinggi innovation program in improving library services and increasing interest in visiting users through the provision of a lesehan reading area, namely an instagrammable reading corner. Sampling in this study was conducted by purposive sampling method. Data was collected by means of interviews and documentation. This data analysis technique was carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (1) the instagrammable reading corner at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi has implemented an element of novelty because it has provided a different reading area than before; (2) the instagrammable reading corner at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi has implemented an effective element because the purpose of making the reading area can be carried out properly as long as the instagrammable reading corner is established. (3) the instagrammable reading corner at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi has implemented an element of usefulness because the reading corner has been able to provide great benefits for users compared to the previous reading area. (4) Instagrammable reading corner at Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Bukittinggi has implemented transferable or replicable elements because the indicators from the reading corner are unique and interesting so that they can be recommended for other agencies who want to create reading corners. (5) the instagrammable reading corner at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi has implemented an element of sustainability because the instagrammable reading corner will be held continuously at the Proklamator Bung Hatta’s Library Unit Bukittinggi. ]]>

<![CDATA[This paper discusses about the making of an annotated index of the newspaper about Pesisir Selatan tourism collection of the Library Archives and Library Department of Pesisir Selatan Regency. The purpose of this paper are (1)to see how the condition of newspaper collections in the Office of Archives and the Library of the South Coast (2) to describe the proces of making an annotated index of newspapers on tourism in the Archives and Library Department in the Pesisir Selatan. The Making of newspaper indexes in 2016-2017 in the Archives and Library Department in Pesisir Selatan was done by collecting data directly from the original source, ie newspapers in the Archives and Library Department in the Pesisir Selatan. The type of research was making of an annotated index of newspapers about Pesisir Selatan tourism collection of Library of Archives and Library Department of Pesisir Selatan Regency which conducted in this paper by using descriptive method that was done by collecting data directly from the original source, namely newspapers in the Office of Archives and Library of Pesisir Selatan Regency . Based on data analysis, it concluded that (1) In a effort to optimize and utilize libraries in finding information, an information-seeking tool was required to index newspaper-annotated articles that describe the entire information contained in newspaper articles; (2) index as inormation seaching tool, especially for newspapers in the office of archives and library department in the Pesisir Selatan was expected to help the user in finding the information needed accurately and quickly.Keyword: annotated index, newspaper, tourism.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this paper is to describe about: (1) whether the cause of preservation of ancient manuscripts in the Museum Nagari less attention Adityawarman, (2) whether the effort to preserve the ancient manuscripts in the Museum Nagari Adityawarman. Data were collected through observation and interviews with staff-staff at the Museum Nagari Adityawarman. Analyzing data descriptively. By analyzing the data, it was concluded the following things: first factors that may cause less noticeable preservation of ancient manuscripts in the Museum Nagari Adityawarman, namely: (1) the absence of a special schedule for the preservation of ancient manuscripts, the museum only do conservation if there is free time alone in the absence of a structured schedule. (2) human resources or manpower to inadequate preservation activities in the conduct of preservation of ancient manuscripts. (3) in the absence Adityawarman Museum Nagari specific budget for these activities, so that conservation is rarely done. (4) preservation of infrequently used rooms. In the museum there is a special room Nagari Adityawarman for preservation and conservation. In the room there are tools to do conservation. However, the room is rarely used in preservation. Both efforts in preserving ancient manuscripts in the Museum Nagari Adityawarman, namely: (1) provide a box for text files and compiled on the shelf. And given a classification number in each box file, for easy in and easy shelves in preparation of the manuscript rediscovered required. (2) in cooperation with the National Library to carry out activities on the fumigation of ancient texts, but it will take quite a long time. (3) improve the manuscript is torn by patched with another paper on damaged script, then coat it with wax paper or often also called Japanese paper (Gokayama), to reinforce durability without losing information contained in the text. <![CDATA[This article aims to describe: (1) management of mobile libraries in the Regional Office of the Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia Sumatera Barat; (2) constraints and efforts in the management of the mobile library at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of West Sumatra. Data collected by observation and interviews with the two (2) people bookmobile librarian in the management of the Regional Office of the Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia Sumatera Barat. Based on the discussion can be summarized as follows: (1) management of mobile libraries in the Regional Office of the Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum and Hak Asasi Manusia Sumatera Barat has not run as it should; (2) difficulties in the management of the mobile library at the Regional Office of the Kementerian Hukum and Asasi Manusia Sumatera Barat is the lack of library materials in the management of mobile libraries, library infrastructure is not yet fully support the activities of the management of the mobile library. Efforts made in overcoming obstacles as follows: add library materials will be lent to userlibrary, overcoming the lack of infrastructure as soon as possible, improve the service system will be given to userlibrary and add insight of human resources in order to increase the knowledge of librarians in the management of the mobile library. <![CDATA[Makalah ini berisi pembahasan tentang Pembuatan Bibliografi Beranotasi Koleksi Karya Umum Perpustakaan Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dan Daerah. Tujuan pembahasan makalah ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembuatan bibliografi beranotasi koleksi karya umum di perpustakaan jurusan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia dan daerah untuk membantu pemustaka dan juga pustakawan dalam melakukan temu kembali informasi menggunakan alat telusur bibliografi. Penulis mendeskripsikan pembuatan bibliografi beranotasi koleksi karya umum perpustakaan jurusan bahasa dan sastra indonesia dan daerah. Penulisan makalah ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data dan infomasi didapat melalui pengumpulan secara langsung, yaitu mencari bentuk fisik koleksi di perpustakaan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pengamatan langsung, jumlah judul koleksi karya umum di perpustakaan jurusan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia dan daeah berjumlah 160 judul. Berdasarkan penganalisisan data,bahwa pembuatan bibliografi beranotasimelalui bebeapa tahapan. (1) penentuan judul bibliografi; (2) pengumpulan bahan pustaka atau penelusuran informasi yang dilakukan dengan cara penelusuran langsung; (3) seleksi bahan pustaka, yang bertujuan untuk menentukan tema buku atau koleksi yang akan dibuatkan bibliografinya; (4) pengelompokkan atau pengklasifikasian, yang mana bibliografi tersebut bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pokok permasalahan dalam buku tersebut; (5) pembuatan kata kunci, yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pokok pemasalahan dalam buku atau koleksi tersebut. (6) penyusunan indeks, indeks yang saya buat adalah indeks judul dan indeks kata kunci; (7) pembuatan atau pengetikkan naskah bibliografi, berupa memeriksa tulisan-tulisan untuk menghindari kesalahan ejaan, kesalahan tanda baca, penyingkatan, serta pembalikan nama pengarang yang di sesuaikan.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this article is to describe: 1) the role of librarians in motivating kids to utilize children’s services in Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat; 2) obstacles encountered in children's services in Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat; 3) the efforts made to overcome the problem of children's services at Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Data were collected by observation and interview with a librarian in children’s service. Based on the research results in children’s services at Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat, it can be concluded that: 1) lack of the role by librarians because little interaction between librarians with users in children’s services; 2) there are some obstacles such as users still not getting the kinds of children’s services, and lack of understanding by librarians about the importance of librarians in a service at the library; 3) the effort that can be done are add and streamline the kinds of children’s sevices that given to users, complete lack of facilities in children’s services and give the comprehension to librarians about the importance of librarians in a service at the library. <![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan Internet of Things (IoT) oleh Pemustaka di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Pasaman Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh pemustaka yang menggunakan IoT tahun 2025 di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Pasaman Barat dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel acak dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 65 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik. Indikator efisien mendapatkan skor rata-rata 3,31, kualitas layanan mendapatkan skor rata-rata 3,34, dan pengalaman pemustaka mendapatkan skor rata-rata 3,33. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfatan IoT telah meningkatkan efisiensi layanan, kualitas layanan, dan pengalaman pemustaka. Pemustaka merasa puas dengan waktu dan sumber daya yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan layanan, serta merasa bahwa perpustakaan telah berhasil menciptakan lingkungan yang nyaman dan mendukung untuk belajar dan mencari informasi.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to describe (1) the diversity of people's internet use in the Balai-Balai Kota Padang Panjang subdistrict, (2) the information literacy skills of the community in the Balai-Balai Kota Padang Panjang subdistrict, (3) the influence of internet use on the information literacy skills of the community in Padang Panjang City Hall sub-district. This research uses quantitative research with descriptive methods. The population in this study was the community in the Balai-Balai City District of Padang Panjang with sampling using simple random sampling. The main instrument used was a research questionnaire which had been tested for validity and reliability, the sample size was 98 people. The population in the study was the community in the Balai-Balai City District of Padang Panjang. Data collection techniques are questionnaire techniques and questionnaire data processing through editing and tabulation stages. The results of the research are: (1) The community's internet use has an average answer score of 3.21. This score is on an interval scale of 2.50 – 3.24, which means that the internet use of the Padang Panjang City Hall community is classified as good. This can be seen from the intensity, usefulness and effectiveness of internet use carried out well. (2) Public information literacy has an average answer score of 3.11. This score is on an interval scale of 2.50 – 3.24, which means that the information literacy of the Padang Panjang City Hall community is classified as good. This can be seen from information literacy skills in determining information needs, finding information, evaluating information and using information for certain purposes by understanding aspects that are considered good. (3) The influence of internet use on the information literacy skills of people in the Balai-Balai City District of Padang Panjang is strong. From the results of the SPSS regression test, a correlation coefficient value of R = 0.787 was obtained, meaning that internet users have a positive influence on information literacy skills. The higher the use of the internet, the higher the information literacy skills in the Balai-Balai City District of Padang Panjang.]]>
