Abstract

Instance of this use of gender violence found in “Lintah” and “Menyusu Ayah” short stories is caused existenceassumption that women are the objects of the society from the violence. Female considered as being number twocan only serve as a means of satisfying men and can not issue an opinion. Besides women's capacity to survive indeterioration and not fighting is the most powerful weapon to make the men feel to win without having to give ameaningful match. Presentation of sexual violence found in short stories "Lintah" and “Menyusu ayah" occurs intwo forms. Namely sexual and non sexual. In non-sexual forms are also divided further in terms of physical andspiritual. Sexual violence as a form of sexual harassment and rape experienced by Maha and Nayla, whereasnonsexual violence in terms of physical form of beatings received by the two leaders. As for the inner side, theinner repression of the characters that makes them depressed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap dan pemertahanan terhadap bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas X kelas internasional dan non-internasional di SMA Budi Mulia Dua. Sikap dan pemertahanan bahasa tersebut ditinjau dari tes menulis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan gabungan antata pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa di kelas X GAC terdapat 9 siswa yang memiliki pemerta-hanan bahasa negatif dan kelas X Asia terdapat 2 siswa yang memiliki pemertahanan yang negatif. Berdasarkan hasil menulis, pada kelas GAC hanya terdapat 1 siswa yang memiliki pemertahanan negatif dan di kelas X Asia terdapat 2 siswa. The language attitude and language maintenance were viewed from students’s writing test. The result of this research from questionnaire, X Asia there are 2 students who have negative language maintenance, and in Class X GAC, there are 9 students who have negative language maintenance. From writing performance in class X Asia there are 2 students who have negative language maintenance and in Class X GAC, there are 1 students. Abstract

This research focuses on Makassar-Malay language, Buginese language, and Mandar language. Those three languages share similarity and difference from phonological overview indicating the languages originated from the same proto language and have a close kinship. Generally, this research gives some information about Makassar-Malay, Buginese, and Mandar languages for the research of comparative historical linguistics in Indonesia, and specifically the research analyze the phonemic correspondence among the three languages.The data are analyzed by using qualitative approach with the method of comparison. This method aims to determine the sound nature (sound correspondence) of 250 basic vocabularies of Makassar-Malay language, Buginese language, and Mandar language which have the same meaning (one gloss). If there is more than oneword in the glosses (synonym) of one language so the word which is taken as the data in this study is the word that has the same form or similar with its proto language.The technique used is phonemic correspondence device determination and correspondence formula determination. Of 250 glosses selected, 105 glosses have phonemic correspondence. The correspondence which have been found through this research are /ә ~ a/, /a ~ ә/, /u ~ɔ/, and /b ~ w/. Besides, It can be known that Makassar Malay language is closer related to Mandar language than Bugis language.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of foreign languages as a medium for the development of pesantren in the archipelago. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Pesantren is one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. In the history of its development, pesantren reap some barriers, until finally at the beginning of XX century pesantren began to demand by many people. The success of pesantren in managing Islamic education is partly because of the role of foreign languages (Arabic and English) taught in it. In the globalization era, foreign language is a primary requirement for students, thus making pesantren as an alternative institution in developing foreign language skills of santri, in addition, the learning of foreign languages in pesantren is more effective because of the language environment. This is one of them can make foreign language as one of the political media in order to advance the existence of pesantren. Foreign language politics in pesantren means managing foreign languages as the language of communication in various policies in pesantren. Some pesantrens in Indonesia with a background of modern pesantren and Salāf pesantren are keen to utilize foreign languages as a means of communication, resistance, and reconstruction of pesantren, such as the modern pesantren Gontor Ponorogo, Darullughah Wadda'wah Bangil Pasuruan pesantren, and Sidogiri Pasuruan pesantren. Some of these pesantren are pesantren who successfully manage foreign languages in accordance with the above functions. Thus, the paradigm of pesantren succession is not only seen from the number of santri who are proficient in Islamic Studies, but also from the extent to which santri skilled in various fields, one of which is foreign language.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the history of the inculturation process of clean culture through toilets in the twentieth century Surakarta society. The methodology used in this research is historical method using critical historical approach. Using this method, the authors analyze the process of using toilet in a holistic manner, the toilet that is not affected by the socio-political practices. The phenomena are analyzed by using the theory of hegemony Gramsci and the theory of inculturation. The result of this research is that the emergence of the concept of toilet brings a change in the standard of healthy life among the Javanese people. It bears new cultural values, e.g. the value of modesty and embarrassment that have not recognized by the Javanese people before. It also promotes the concept of privacy body that makes the birth of social stratification.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tanda verbal dan visual serta makna di balik rangkaian tanda yang terdapat pada e-poster larangan mudik selama pandemi Covid 19 terjadi Indonesia pada akun sosial media instagram Kementerian Perhubungan di Kabinet Indonesia Maju 2019-2024, yaitu @kemehub151. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan analisis diksi bahasa yang digunakan di sosial media yaitu khususnya instagram. Dari poster yang diunggah oleh akun Kementerian Perhubungan yang dijadikan sampel penelitian ini menunjukkan larangan mudik dengan penggunaan berbagai diksi.  Penelitian ini menganalisis 5 e-poster larangan mudik yang diunggah oleh akun Kementerian Perhubungan @kemenhub151 mulai tanggal tanggal 27 Maret 2020 hingga 24 Mei 2020 yang bertepatan dengan hari raya Idul Fitri. Tanda verbal dan visual yang digunakan dalam e-poster pada akun instagram kementerian perhubungan ini pun beragam, di antaranya itu ada yang berupa larangan tegas, himbauan, dan anjuran yang dibungkus dengan tanda visual yang menarik dan mudah diterima oleh masyarakat pengguna media sosial instagram.

Abstract

In the study of language, which required a learner not just aptitude (language intelligence) but the main thing is more attitude are accompanied by a strong motivation and purpose that would make a learner managed to learn the language. The routine of the first language often provide positive influence against the routine that is studied in a second language. However this happens if there are routines from both the language experienced a resemblance. For the first pattern language, often give bad influence, due to the difference in the pattern of the first language with the pattern of a second language. In addition, in communicating, sometimes language learners experience difficulties when will convey something he has yet to figure out the language in the second language. Then use simple codes will help learners understand what is to be delivered.

Abstract

Abaya is often known as the loose black clothes worn by Arab women. This kind of fashion is usually worn by Arab women, equipped with a black cloth covering the head, whenever they leave the houses. Sometimes they combine it with the niqab. Abaya is also known as Islamic clothing as it suits the Islamic teaching in clothing norms. But there left a question as to what extent this fashion able to adapt the modernity, especially in the Arabian Peninsula, its “home countries”. This research uses library research methodology where the data are obtained through relevant books and articles. The purpose of this study is to describe how Arabian women hold on to wear the abaya in their modern lives as well as to describe the changes in the current abaya model. Abaya sering dikenal sebagai baju hitam longgar yang dikenakan oleh wanita Arab. Busana seperti ini biasanya dikenakan oleh wanita Arab, dilengkapi dengan kain hitam yang menutupi kepala, setiap kali keluar rumah. Terkadang mereka menggabungkannya dengan nikab. Abaya juga dikenal sebagai pakaian Islami karena sesuai dengan ajaran Islam dalam norma pakaian. Namun masih ada pertanyaan sejauh mana fashion ini mampu mengadaptasi modernitas, terutama di Jazirah Arab, “negara asalnya”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pustaka dimana data diperoleh melalui buku dan artikel yang relevan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana wanita Arab melestarikan abaya dalam kehidupan modern mereka serta untuk mendeskripsikan perubahan model abaya saat ini.

Abstract

Bahasa Jawa merupakan bahasa pertama mayoritas masyarakat Ponorogo, Jawa Timur. Namun sebagai bahasa pertama yang dikuasai, banyak di antara penuturnya yang tidak menguasai dengan baik dan tepat dalam penggunaannya terutama dalam tingkat tuturnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penguasaan tingkat tutur bahasa Jawa di lingkungan mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Institut Agama Islam Sunan Giri Ponorogo yang dikasifikasikan dalam dua tingkat tutur yaitu ngoko dan krama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi PGMI di Insuri Ponorogo yang dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok. Dipilihnya mahasiswa prodi PGMI sebagai subjek penelitian ini adalah dikarenakan adanya mata kuliah bahasa Jawa selama 3 semester. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrument berupa kuesioner yang berisi latar belakang pengguna bahasa dan isian kosakata bahasa Jawa Ngoko dan Krama. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kemampuan berbahasa Jawa ngoko dari kelompok 1 (19 responden) memperoleh skor tertinggi 88 dan skor terendah adalah 75 sebanyak 2 responden. Di kelompok 2, terdapat 13 responden dengan skor tertinggi 84 dan skor terendah adalah 48. Untuk kelompok 3 terdapat 19 responden dengan hasil skor tertinggi adalah 92 dan terendah 80. Hasil kemampuan bahasa krama di kelompok 1 yaitu skor tertinggi 40 dan skor terendah adalah 11, kelompok 2 dengan skor tertinggi 44 dan skor terendah 0, dan kelompok 3 dengan skor tertinggi 35 dengan skor 0. Dari hasil tersebut dapat diketahui jika penguasaan tingkat tutur bahasa Jawa ngoko memiliki skor lebih baik dari pada bahasa jawa krama sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa mahasiswa prodi PGMI Insuri Ponorogo lebih menguasai tingkat tutur bahasa Jawa ngoko.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the practice of language learning, namely the speaking ability of students during the pandemic period with a learning system that dares to follow what they face. The subjects in this study were 13 students of PGMI Insuri Ponorogo. The practice of learning Speaking skills is carried out with four speaking practices: reading stories, reading announcements, making speeches, and discussing. Of the four practices, knew that if you do not practice speaking, namely reading stories, reading announcements, and making speeches, it only folds four aspects of delivery, namely (1) vocal clarity; (2) correct intonation; (3) accuracy of word choice (diction); and (4) sentence structure (speech). There is no interaction with other speakers, no need to convey or express opinions, and not required to show data outside of the text to support their speaking skills. In contrast to the ability to discuss which requires six aspects, namely (1) fluency in delivering responses/responses; (2) vocal clarity; (3) correct intonation; (4) accuracy of word choice (diction); (5) sentence structure (speech); and (6) accuracy in disclosing data in practice. In the discussion practice, the students' ability to speak is also better without reading texts. However, it cannot involve one aspect of learning services from voice message media.. be involved, namely eye contact with listeners. One aspect of this also later becomes one of the pathways related to bold learning that only uses voice message media in learning. Not recognizing expressions and gestures when executing the practice also prevents listeners from entering into reports.
