Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of civic knowledge on the democratic attitude of senior high school students in Kuningan Regency. The research used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey method. Data were collected through a test to measure civic knowledge and an attitude scale questionnaire to assess democratic attitudes. The sample consisted of 393 students selected using cluster sampling techniques. The results show that most students have a good level of civic knowledge and democratic attitudes. Based on simple linear regression analysis, civic knowledge has a significant effect on democratic attitudes, with a determination coefficient of 0.537. Thus, civic knowledge contributes 53.7% to the development of students’ democratic attitudes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui rangkaian kegiatan Program Kampung Iklim sebagai wujud penguatan nilai gotong royong dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan berwawasan lingkungan hidup. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kajian pustaka. Subjek penelitian ditentukan secara purposive sampling, dengan key informan meliputi pegawai Dinas Lingkungan Hidup, pengurus kegiatan, dan tokoh masyarakat. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga alur kegiatan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program Kampung Iklim memberikan dampak nyata dalam memperbaiki lingkungan melalui langkah adaptasi dan mitigasi bencana, seperti pengendalian kekeringan dan banjir, peningkatan ketahanan pangan, pengendalian penyakit berbasis iklim, pengelolaan sampah, serta penggunaan energi terbarukan. Lebih dari itu, pelaksanaan program ini terbukti mampu menumbuhkan dan memperkuat nilai gotong royong sebagai bagian dari karakter civic responsibility (tanggung jawab warga negara).

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media, particularly Instagram, has fueled an increasingly massive trend of personal information sharing among university students. Amid rising threats of data breaches and the enactment of Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, students' understanding of digital privacy as a citizen's right has become an urgent issue to examine. This study aims to identify and describe the level of understanding of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia students regarding the importance of personal data protection on Instagram as a citizen's right. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through a closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 344 active students from all faculties at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, selected using simple random sampling with proportional allocation per faculty. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics with the assistance of SPSS and Jamovi software. The results indicate that students' level of understanding of personal data protection as a citizen's right falls into the high category, with a mean score of 4.37 and a total average score of 96.14 out of a maximum scale of 110. The highest level of understanding was demonstrated on the principle that personal information should only be shared with the owner's consent (mean 4.68), while the lowest was found on the aspect of using Instagram consciously and deliberately as a privacy protection strategy (mean 3.93). These findings reveal that although students possess strong normative understanding, such awareness has not been fully translated into reflective digital behavior. Strengthening digital literacy that addresses behavioral and habitual dimensions is the primary recommendation of this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of state authorities in the song lyrics of Balada Gehel by Dongker and examine its function as a form of critical citizenship expression. The research employs a qualitative approach using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) by integrating the frameworks of Teun A. van Dijk and Norman Fairclough. The data consist of song lyrics, audiovisual documentation, and contextual sources related to Indonesia’s socio-political conditions in 2020. The findings reveal that state authorities are represented through degradative metaphors, institutional delegitimization, and emotional contrasts that reflect criticism of power practices. Furthermore, the song functions as a medium of civic expression that expands democratic participation through popular culture. The study suggests that punk music has significant potential as a contextual learning resource for fostering civic sensibility and civic responsibility within Citizenship Education.

Abstract

Partisipasi politik warga negara muda dalam pemilihan kepala daerah menjadi sorotan penting dalam dinamika demokrasi lokal di Indonesia Warga negara muda memiliki potensi besar dalam menentukan arah kebijakan publik, namun partisipasi dan preferensi politik mereka kerap dianggap fluktuatif dan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor sosial, ekonomi, dan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis preferensi politik warga negara muda dalam Pilkada Jawa Barat tahun 2024, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan sejumlah pemilih muda, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) memiliki pola pemilihan yang menekankan kepada rekam jejak, pengalaman, visi misi calon, program kerja, partai pengusung, latar belakang pendidikan kandidat serta isu-isu yang berkaitan langsung dengan pendidikan, lapangan pekerjaan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa preferensi politik warga negara muda semakin berkembang menuju ke arah yang lebih baik dan berdaya kritis.Bagian Atas Formulir.

Abstract

This study aims to map the scientific evidence on teachers’ emotional intelligence by examining its conceptual dimensions, roles in instructional practice and professional relationships, reported associations with teachers’ well-being and work effectiveness, and contextual factors influencing its development and application. The study employed a scoping review based on Arksey and O’Malley’s five-stage framework and reported in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR guidelines to examine Scopus-indexed literature published between 2019 and 2025. The data were analyzed using descriptive numerical analysis and inductive thematic analysis of 17 articles that met the predetermined inclusion criteria. The findings revealed six dimensions organized into three layers: self-awareness and emotion management as the intrapersonal core; empathy, social awareness, and relational skills as the interpersonal layer; and professional motivation and values, along with ethical and reflective decision-making, as the value-orientation layer. Teachers’ emotional intelligence supports classroom management, teacher–student interactions, and collegial relationships and is associated with lower burnout, higher self-efficacy, and greater work engagement. Its development is shaped by organizational support and school culture, work experience and educational level, gender, socio-cultural context, and institutional policies. However, the evidence remains geographically uneven and is dominated by quantitative, cross-sectional studies. These findings suggest that emotional intelligence development should be systematically integrated into pre-service teacher education and continuing professional development, supported by effective school leadership and institutional policies.
