Abstract

Education at the elementary school level has an important role in shaping the basis of students' knowledge and character. Social Sciences (IPS) subjects in Indonesia aim to introduce social, cultural, and geographical concepts, as well as connect local knowledge with global dynamics. In the era of globalization, it is important to integrate local wisdom with global phenomena so that students can understand these two aspects in a balanced way. Digital media, with its ability to disseminate information quickly and widely, offers a potential solution in overcoming this challenge. This study aims to explore the use of digital media in social studies learning in grade 4 elementary school to build a connection between local wisdom and globalization, as well as to see how digital media can enrich students' learning experiences with local and global cultural contexts. This research uses a literature study approach, by collecting various secondary sources related to the use of digital media in education, especially in connecting local wisdom with globalization in social studies learning. Data is collected through searches for relevant articles, books, and research reports. The results of the study show that digital media such as digital scrapbooks, digital comics, e-story books, and multiplatform media are effective in introducing the values of local wisdom to students. In addition, digital media is also able to bridge local knowledge with a global context, providing a more interactive and relevant learning experience to the needs of the times.

Abstract

This institutional research aims to analyze and describe the relationship between leadership style and productivity; achievement motives and productivity; and leadership style and achievement motives simultaneously with the productivity of North Sulawesi PKBM training participants. The results of the study are that there is a significant relationship between leadership style and productivity; achievement motives and productivity; and leadership style and achievement motives simultaneously with the productivity of North Sulawesi PKBM training participants.

Abstract

The development of the Out-of-School Education sector has a strategic role in improving the quality of human resources. Learning media in alphabet cards is needed to increase students' motivation and learning achievement in reading learning, which are used as a learning resource to develop learning models while playing for students. This research aims to determine and test the effectiveness of implementing the development of the learning process for reading while playing through alphabet card learning media for residents learning literacy in PKBM North Sulawesi Province. This research uses the "Research and Development" method, following the research stages of developing the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) in 4 districts: 1). Bolaang Mongon-dow South, 2). East Bolaang Mongondow, 3). Talaud Islands, and 4). North Minahasa. This research was designed for two years, and in the first year, 2022, it was carried out in 3 stages: 1). Analysis Stage, 2). Design stage, and 3). Development Stage. Meanwhile, two stages were carried out for the second year, namely the Implementation and Evaluation stages. It can be concluded that the learning process is effective because students who were previously literate but forgot the letters have learned them again. There is an increase in students' cognitive abilities, better ability to arrange letters to form meaningful words, and students' learning becoming more involved.

Abstract

Pasir sebagai potrensi sumber daya alam, menjadi salah satu sumber material utama untuk pembangunan fisik baik rumah pribadi, gedung publik maunpun prasarana jalan dan nubusan saluran air. Potensi ini yang mendorong dilaksanakannya program pengabdian kepada masyarakat Unima dengan program “Penhembangan Ekonomi Kerakyatan melalui Keterampilan Hollow Brick dan Paving Block bagi Pemuda Putus Sekolah di Desa Klabat Kecamatan Dimembe Kabupaten Minahasa Utara terhadap 2 kelompok masing-masing 8 orang tiap kelompok pemuda putus sekolah melalui pendekatan pendidikan dan pelatihan teori dan praktek selama 30 hari kerja. Program ini melibatkan 2 orang nara sumber mitra CV.Novanza Tomohon masing-masing untuk nara sumber hollow brick dan paving block. Dalam proses pendidikan dan pelatihan, narasumber memberikan konsep teori dan prospek kebutuhan dan pemasaran produk usaha hallow brick dan paving block serta teknik pengelolaan dan proses produktinya. Warga belajar secara bergilir mendapat tugas untuk melaksanakan praktek proses produksi sehingga semua peserta mengetahui, memahami dan menguasai komposisi campuran material, komposisi air, teknis mencetak dan proses pengeringan sampai pada teknis pemasaran. Hasil pendidikan dan pelatihan semua peserta telah terampil mengelola proses produksi hollow brick dan paving block serta setiap kelompok telah membentuk usaha produksi hollow brick dan paving block dengan membagi tugas kerja masing-masing. Dari peserta ini terdapat 4 orang peserta yang ditetapkan sebagai narasumber bagi pemuda putus sekolah lainnya yang ingin bergabung. Diharapkan dukungan pemerintah lewat dinas sosial, dinas tenaga kerja dan pemerintah setempat untuk terus memperhatikan pengembangan usaha ini ke depan.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan guru yang terampil menggunakan media belajar kartu abjad dalam proses pembelajaran, mengembangkan materi pelajaran dengan menggunakan media belajar kartu abjad dalam proses pembelajaran, serta guru terampil dalam bimbimbing siswa belajar sambil bermain dengan menggunakan media belajar kartu abjad dalam proses pembelajaran di SD Inpres, SD GMIM dan SD GP Klabat Kecamatan Dimembe Kabupten Minahasa Utara. Khalayak sasaran 32 guru dan 3 kepala sekolah melalui kegiatan pendidikan pelatihan dengan menggunakan metode demontrasi, diperoleh hasil penggunaan media belajar kartu abjad merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran inovatif, produktif dan menyenangkan bagi peserta pelatihan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir, dan kreatif dalam merencanakan poses pembelajaran, mampu membuat materi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media belajar kartu abjad, dan mampu mengembangkan marteri pembelajaran untuk diadaptasikan serta terampil dalam mempraktekkan penggunaan media belajar dalam proses pembelajaran terintegrasi dalam RPP serta perangkat pembelajaran terkait.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the history, Implementation of Wewe'e Kumawus Culture in Tomohon City society, Implementation of Wewe'e Kumawus Cultural Values ??in Learning Materials, and opportunities for Wewe'e Kumawus Cultural Values ??to be used as Learning Materials for Elementary School Social Studies Education in Tomohon City. By using a qualitative approach to 3 cultural figures, 3 village heads, and three elementary school principals accompanied by triangulation of 3 religious figures, it is concluded that: 1.The Wewe'e kumawus culture of the Tomohon city community has existed since the ancient community which was then guarded, maintained, and preserved from generation to generation. 2. The implementation of the wewe'e kumawus culture by the Tomohon city community is carried out starting from the occurrence of a mourning event, the family and local community work together to help the bereaved family starting from making a mourning ward, making a coffin, burial and up to the kumawus worship which is accompanied by spontaneous provision of grief assistance to the bereaved family. 3. The implementation of the wewe'e kumawus Cultural Values ??in the learning materials for Elementary School Social Studies education in Tomohon City is very strategic and relevant because all wewe'e kumawus cultural activities become formal objects as well as material objects of the learning materials for Social Studies education which are sourced from the fields of Sociology, anthropology, economics, geography and PPKn. 4. The opportunity for the cultural values ??of wewe'e kumawus to be used as learning material for Elementary School Social Studies Education in Tomohon City, is very promising after a scientific seminar and conceptual study were held by related parties including the education office, local cultural figures, universities, and the Tomohon city government to produce a curriculum development policy based on local cultural wisdom.
