Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Bandar Laksamana District, Bengkalis, Riau have been identified by FMIPA students from Riau University who participated in the Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Community Service Program (Kukerta) in 2024. There are 66 UMKM in three villages with various businesses such as stalls, fried foods, beauty, culinary, craftsmen. The people of one village seemed apathetic in managing UMKM because they were considered as side businesses only, had no prospects for development and were not interested in participating in online marketing training. From observations, several UMKM products have the potential to be marketed online because they are unique as typical Malay foods. An approach was made to UMKM actors to be assisted in having the skills to design attractive and dynamic packaging labels, assisting online marketing until the market reaches various corners of the country. A good product packaging label will advance the business and introduce the diversity of typical Malay culinary delights to the public. Canva is a simple graphic design application that is easy for beginners to use. Canva provides paid and free services with various easy-to-adopt template features with various completeness such as image cropping, text insertion, color, and so on. The Canva application needs to be introduced to UMKM to attract their product market through unique and attractive banner, poster, and banner designs so that the product display remains fresh, updated according to needs.

Abstract

In the national education standards, there are four factors that determine the quality of schools, namely the characteristics of the students, the competence of the teachers, the learning process and the leadership of the principal. To obtain quality teacher competence, effective, efficient and transparent teacher management is needed in the management of teaching and education personnel. To improve the quality of education, the government through the National Accreditation Board for Schools/Madrasahs has prepared the 2020 Education Unit Accreditation Instrument (IASP) containing standard instruments to measure school quality. Schools can implement IASP2020 to continuously monitor the performance of each factor to ensure school quality. In the teacher competence factor, a fast and responsive information system is needed so that the quality of teacher performance can be detected immediately to help schools immediately make the right decisions, immediately find the solutions needed for their problems so that teacher quality continues to maintain its competence. The design uses the Open Group Architecture Framework which has been proven to be reliable in solving information system governance problems. The results of this study are in the form of a recommendation for a strategic information system design that is worthy of being developed for teacher management.

Abstract

Inovasi teknologi pengering berbasis energi limbah biomassa telah berkembang untuk meningkatkan pengolahan aneka kerupuk di Kecamatan Binawidya, Kota Pekanbaru. Dengan penerapan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) ramah lingkungan, pelatihan kewirausahaan IPTEKS bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas produk kerupuk. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra mencakup kurangnya pengetahuan teknologi modern, manajemen usaha yang lemah, dan persaingan pasar yang ketat. Solusi yang ditawarkan meliputi penerapan teknologi modern dalam produksi dan pelatihan manajemen usaha. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari identifikasi kebutuhan, pengadaan alat, dan pendampingan pasca-pelatihan. Evaluasi dilakukan secara formatif dan sumatif untuk menilai dampak program. Alat inovasi yang dirancang untuk pengolahan kerupuk mencakup komponen penyimpanan energi, cerobong, dan rak pengolahan yang mengoptimalkan proses produksi. Kegiatan pemberdayaan pelaku Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) dalam industri kerupuk diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing produk di pasar. Melalui program pelatihan dan pendampingan, sebanyak 5  peserta dari anggota UKM telah dilibatkan dalam kegiatan ini. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata produksi kerupuk meningkat dari 100 kilogram per bulan menjadi 150 kilogram per bulan, atau meningkat sebesar 50%.

Abstract

This study explores an innovation based on IoT and biomass energy for the efficient production of processed food, specifically crackers. Biomass energy, derived from plant materials, is utilized to generate heat in the processing room. This innovation significantly reduces the processing time for crackers to just 2 hours, compared to the conventional method that requires 2 days of sun-drying. The biomass energy source used in this study includes rambutan tree trunks, which not only provide efficient heat but also impart a pleasant aroma to the final product. The research employs a direct experimental method to design and implement this technology in industrial settings. The primary ingredient for the crackers is cassava, mixed with fish, shrimp, and jengkol. The heat energy generated from the combustion of rambutan tree trunks is effectively utilized in the combustion chamber. Observations indicate that the crackers produced are of high quality, with appealing color and fragrance, making them suitable for market distribution. This innovation demonstrates the potential of combining IoT and biomass energy to enhance food processing efficiency and product quality.
