Abstract

Abstrak. Prevalensi anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) di Indonesia terus meningkat, begitu juga dengan yang beranjak dewasa. Masa depan anak selalu menjadi kekhawatiran bagi orangtua dengan ABK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri harapan orangtua dengan ABK yang beranjak dewasa di balik kekhawatiran orangtua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, Sembilan orangtua dengan ABK yang beranjak dewasa dilibatkan sebagai responden penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik photo voice dan analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan gambaran harapan antara orangtua dari ABK yang berusia di atas 15 tahun dan di bawah 15 tahun. Orangtua dengan ABK yang berusia di atas 15 tahun pada umumnya sudah mampu mengidentifikasi potensi yang dimiliki anaknya dan berfokus pada mengembangkan potensi anak untuk dapat menjalani kehidupan secara mandiri. Orangtua telah menyadari bahwa anaknya sulit mengikuti pendidikan formal dan b berusaha mengajarkan keterampilan-keterampilan yang membuatnya bisa produktif. Sebaliknya berbeda dengan orangtua ABK remaja yang berusia di bawah 15 tahun, umumnya masih berfokus mengejar kemampuan anak dalam ranah akademik, khususnya membaca dan menulis, kemampuan interaksi sosial, serta kemampuan menjalankan ibadah secara mandiri. Hal ini dinilai sebagai kemampuan dasar yang memungkinkan anak untuk dapat menjalani kehidupannya secara mandiri. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi orangtua ABK dalam membangun harapan yang tepat untuk anak.  Kata Kunci: Harapan, Orangtua, ABK, Beranjak Dewasa, Photovoice

Abstract

Kegiatan intervensi menurut American Psychological Association adalah sebuah aksi untuk menghentikan atau memodifikasi suatu proses atau perilaku yang sedang berlangsung, umumnya berupa masalah atau gangguan dengan tujuan untuk mengurangi permasalahan yang terjadi. Metode dan media dalam intervensi pun beragam. Pada penelitian ini berfokus pada metode menggunakan media infografis cetak kemudian dilakukan intervensi individual untuk meningkatkan kualitas komunikasi jarak jauh. Media poster dipilih dengan beberapa pertimbangan dan memiliki banyak kelebihan diantaranya; poster berisi intisari dari materi yang akan disampaikan, sehingga kalimat yang ada pada poster akan lebih efisien dan memudahkan pembaca dalam memahami hal yang dibahas pada poster. Tujuan intervensi ini untuk memberikan pemahaman, edukasi, serta wadah untuk berbagi dan berdiskusi terkait cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas komunikasi keluarga khususnya bagi mahasiswa perantau dengan keluarga atau orang tua yang berada di  kampung halaman. Dari hasil kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan hasil bahwa intervensi menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas komunikasi pada responden dalam hal intensitas dan frekuensi komunikasi keluarga serta relasi jarak jauh yang mengalami peningkatan. Implikasi pada penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah pengetahuan serta pemahaman pada mahasiswa perantau dapat menerapkan intervensi dan memperbaiki kualitas komunikasi keluarga jarak jauh. Kata Kunci: Intervensi; Komunikasi; Keluarga; Mahasiswa; Perantau

Abstract

Down syndrome children are born with a variety of developmental barriers that limit their basic ability to run optimally. The basic ability that needs to be developed is to recognize letters and objects in the surrounding environment. This study aims to describe specifically related to the effectiveness of the use of word card media and drill and practice methods in letterrecognition effortsin Down syndrome children. The subjects in this study amounted to three children who had Down syndrome. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the use of word card media with drill and practice methods is effectively used to improve the ability to recognize letters in Down syndrome children, so that Down syndrome children are easier to understand simple objects and words that can be used in interacting in everyday life. Abstract

The view that women who have Cinderella complex tendencies who experience toxic relationships will find it difficult to move away or escape from unhealthy relationships because of their dependence on their partners. Based on initial observations and interviews, there are still many women who are trapped in unhealthy or toxic relationships but still survive for reasons of dependence on their partners. This study aims to determine the tendency of Cinderella complex in women in toxic relationships. Respondents inthis study amounted to 3 people. The method used in this research is a case study with a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the three respondents have a picture of the Cinderella complex in the form of always expecting support and help from others. Two of the respondentsrelied heavily on their partners in facing the difficulties experienced in their lives. In addition, the three respondents both showed a lack of ability to believe in themselves. However, the differences between the three respondents in terms of the number of images seen vary between each respondent. The three respondents were equally influenced by aspects of external self-control and low self-esteem. The implications of this research are as a reference and reflection for further researchers in studying the cinderella complex in women.

Abstract

Masa peralihan memiliki potensi untuk menyebabkan individu kesulitan dalam meregulasi emosi, khususnya emosi negatif yang tidak terkendali dalam durasi dan intensitasnya. Individu yang tidak mampu meregulasi emosi dapat mengakibatkan pemilihan coping emosi yang salah seperti memaki, mengumpat, merokok, melampiaskan kemarahan kepada orang sekitar, melukai diri, hingga melakukan upaya bunuh diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelekatan teman sebaya dengan regulasi emosi pada mahasiswa di fase emerging adulthood. Subjek dalam penelitian berjumlah 401 orang dengan kriteria mahasiswa aktif dengan rentang usia 18 hingga 25 tahun. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu skala kelekatan teman sebaya dan skala regulasi emosi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kelekatan teman sebaya dengan regulasi emosi pada mahasiswa di fase emerging adulthood. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa diharapkan memiliki kemampuan dalam meregulasi emosi dengan lebih memahami emosi dan mengembangkan strategi untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengelola emosi yang dimiliki.

Abstract

Middle-aged women are in the empty nest syndrome phase, a period when their children no longer live with them or have moved away. This can lead to various symptoms such as loneliness, loss, and emptiness. One significant factor that can affect the level of empty nest syndrome is marital satisfaction. This study aims to examine the relationship between marital satisfaction and empty nest syndrome in middle-aged women. This research uses a quantitative method. The subjects in this study are middle-aged women who have been left by all their children and are now living only with their husbands, with a total of 60 subjects. The results of the study show that there is a significant negative relationship between marital satisfaction and empty nest syndrome (r = -0.60, p < 0.05). This means that the higher the level of marital satisfaction, the lower the symptoms of empty nest syndrome experienced by middle-aged women. The implications of this research can be a reference for educational institutions and organizations to provide education regarding marital satisfaction so that they can minimize the impact of empty nest syndrome.

Abstract

Children's fine motor skills are very important to pay attention to and develop from the golden age. Efforts that can be made to improve children's fine motor skills are to provide stimulation from the outside such as providing educational games that can help improve fine motor development. This service aims to stimulate fine motor skills of early childhood at UPT PPRSA Inang Matutu. Children's fine motor stimulation is provided through interesting and fun educational game methods. The game is named “The Road-Connecting Game”. Games are designed using simple and low-budget tools and materials so that they can be a reference for parents and social workers in stimulating children's fine motor development. The subjects in this study were APM class A at UPT PPRSA Inang Matutu as many as 10 people aged 4-5 years. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and interview methods. This development uses the class action method through 6 stages, namely initial reflection, field introduction, finding solutions, action planning, action implementation, observation, and evaluation. The results of this service show that there is an increase in children's fine motor skills after carrying out the game. It is hoped that the use of educational game tools can be carried out to stimulate aspects of development adapted to the stages of age and child development.

Abstract

Peningkatan tingkat kekerasan di kalangan pelajar menjadi sesuatu yang tidak dapat diabaikan, mengingat perluasan pengamatan terhadap pemeliharaan nilai-nilai budaya di lingkungan masyarakat, sekolah, pertemanan, dan keluarga. Salah satu bentuk kekerasan yang sering terjadi di kalangan siswa adalah bullying. Sementara itu, laporan kasus kekerasan pada kalangan pelajar di Kota Makassar yang telah diterima oleh UPTD PPA Kota Makassar hingga bulan Oktober 2023 mencatat satu kejadian. Meskipun hanya ada satu kasus yang dilaporkan, hal ini tidak menutup kemungkinan adanya banyak kejadian bullying lain yang terjadi namun tidak dilaporkan. Bullying tersebut umumnya terjadi di lingkungan sekolah. Dampak dari bullying dapat merugikan perkembangan dan pertumbuhan anak, baik sebagai korban maupun pelaku tindakan bullying. Bullying dapat memengaruhi hubungan pelaku dengan teman sebaya, termasuk pola interaksi dan komunikasinya. Selain itu, bullying dapat menjadi faktor yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan risiko trauma yang dialami di kalangan pelajar. Tujuan kegiatan Psikoedukasi ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai bullying bagi siswa UPT SPF SMP Negeri 6 Makassar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu psikoedukasi yang disusun dalam bentuk penyajian materi, simulasi peran (role-play), serta sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab. Para siswa juga diminta untuk mengisi pre-test dan post-test. Hasil post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam skor dibandingkan dengan sebelum penyuluhan dilakukan.

Abstract

This study aims to teach Down syndrome children strategies for improving daily life skills. Life skills that can increase independence are carrying out activities that are effective and not monotonous. An effective strategy that can help children with Down syndrome is being able to have an approach and attachment to their parents, and have an awareness of the independence that must be exercised. One strategy is to use the image paste method. Paste pictures is a method that is done by pasting and providing pictures that are concrete, interesting, and easily understood by children with Down syndrome. The images given are in the form of activities carried out in everyday life. Each picture will be pasted on the sides of the walls in each child's room according to the activity being carried out. This method aims to increase the cognitive stimulation of children with Down syndrome in increasing independence from an early age as a provision for the future. The purpose of this activity is to find out strategies for improving the life skills of children with Down syndrome at the Secretariat of the Community of Parents and Children with Down Syndrome, South Sulawesi. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using data from interviews, observations, and documentation of children with Down syndrome before and after the activity was carried out. The results show that giving picture stickers can improve life skills strategies for children with Down syndrome in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a psychoeducation program that uses posters to teach body privacy boundaries to students at SD Pertiwi Makassar. The psychoeducation approach included direct explanations of the poster content, small group discussions, and role-playing sessions. Informative and interactive posters were displayed in classrooms and on school bulletin boards as ongoing visual reminders.Qualitative data were gathered through observations and interviews with the students. Results indicated a significant improvement in the students’ knowledge and skills related to body privacy boundaries and self-protection strategies against sexual abuse after participating in the program. Students demonstrated the ability to identify private body parts, understood who is allowed to touch them, and showed an enhanced capacity to refuse inappropriate touches and report incidents. The posters, featuring engaging illustrations and simple language, served as effective visual aids. This study underscores the importance of integrating sex education into the elementary school curriculum in Indonesia, utilizing effective psychoeducation methods such as poster media.
