Abstract

Aeromonas hydrophila is one of bacteria as major diseases for the Motile Aeromonads Septicemia (MAS). The aims of this research to get a substance which potential as bioactive of stems bark of Avicennia sp. for increase fish viability which exposed of A. hydropila. The samples were extracted by using ethanol 70% and then evaluated of antibacterial activities by paper disk diffusion agar technique. The active extracts were partial purified by chromatography column. The fraction of substance was show activities against bacteria analyzed by GC-MS. The results were found four peak and predicted as (1) 2-propenoic acid, 3-[3, 4-dimethoxyphenyl]-methyl ester (2) 3, 4-dimethoxycinnamic acid, (3) 1, 1-dimethyl guanidine (4), Methyl 10-oxostearate. The active fraction was isolated from stem bark of Avicennia sp. should be further studied in animal models for in vitro efficacy and toxicity. The percentage of in vivo towards test fish viabilities showed the difference between treated and untreated. The percentage of viability ranged from 35 to 83.33% while control was 91.67%. Based on finding, we suggest that Avicenia sp. bark extract was increasing of fish viability.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that aimed to provide information of (1) percentage of students’misconceptions, not understanding the concept, and understanding the concept (2) factors causingmisconception (3) sub-concept with the highest misconception on concept of genetic substance using three tiertest. Population in this research is all student of class XII SMAN 2 Makassar, sample of research is student ofclass XII IPA 1 counted 35 people. The instrument used is three tier test which amounts to 25 items. Data wereanalyzed descriptively by using the category made by Pesman and Eryilmaz to determine students’understanding. Students were observed and interviewed to obtain data about factors that caused misconception.The result of data analysis of three tier test showed that 29.94% experienced misconception, 42.29% do notunderstand concept, and 27.77% understand concept. The highest percentage of students’ misconceptions isfound in the gene and allele sub concept by 57.15%. Factors that causing misconception are student that havewrong reasoning due to incomplete information, lack of interest in learning certain concept, the absence ofteacher confirmation after learning process, teacher that describing concept too fast, and text book that used inlearning process contain several misinformation.

Abstract

Community service about papaya processing diversification has been carried out in Enrekang Regency. This activity was carried out to improve the knowledge and skills of the people in Enrekang district in processing papaya into products of economic value, namely jams papaya and shredded papaya. This activity is carried out in stages, namely the presentation of material, papaya fruit processing practices into jam and shredded, reflection and evaluation of activities. The results show that the community is able to process papaya into papaya jam products and shredded papaya, and produce products that have been packaged with labeling. This activity also received a very good response to the community. The results of this activity are expected to be developed into a home-based business to increase the income of housewives in Enrekang district.

Abstract

Abstrak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kepada mitra tentang diversifikasi pengolahan jamur tiram merupakan salah satu teknologi untuk meningkatkan potensi lokal di Kabupaten Gowa dengan menambah nilai ekonomi melalui pengolahan jamur tiram menjadi berbagai produk yang bernilai ekonomi dan tahan lama. Produk ini juga memiliki prospek untuk dikembangkan menjadi usaha rumahan (Home Industry). Kegiatan ini bertujuan Memberi pengetahuan dan ketrampilan pada mitra pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam pembuatan otak-otak jamur tiram dan nugget sebagai sumber protein nabati untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan gizi produk serta pemenuhan  gizi keluarga. Mitra pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah CV. Surya Mandiri dan masyarakat Desa Sokkolia Kecamatan Bontomarannu Kabupaten Gowa. Kegiatan dilkasanakan secara aktif demostratif  dengan melibatkan secara penuh  mitra mulai dari penyuluhan hingga demosntrasi pembuatan otak-otak jamur tiram dan nugget jamur tiram. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan telah terjadi  peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan mitra tentang teknologi diversifikasi pengolahan jamur tiram sebagai  teknologi tepat guna untuk  meningkatkan tingkat pendapatan mitra  serta pemenuhan gizi sumber protein nabati. Kata kunci: diversifikasi pengolahan jamur tiram, otak-otak jamur tiram, nugget jamur tiram serta mitra

Abstract

Processed diversification of fishery products is oneof the technologies to increase the storability and longevity offishery products in the postharvest through processing andpreservation. The aims are to prevent decomposition of fish,especially during abundant production, and to increase theincome of fishermen or fish farmers. This activity aims toincrease knowledge and provide skills to High School teachersin Selayar Regency as a partner for the fulfillment ofnutritional sources of protein, increasing knowledge, skills,and income. The program was conducted in activelydemonstrative by involving partners fully from counseling todemonstrate making fish nuggets, otak-otak and fish meatballs.The results of this PKM program indicated that there has beenan increase in partner knowledge and skills regarding fishprocessing diversification technology as an appropriatetechnology to increase partner income levels as well as tofulfill the nutrition of animal protein sources for communities

Abstract

A house garden is potential to be managed for thecultivation of vegetables for the fulfillment of nutrition and arelative reduction in the cost of living of poor families. Thecondition of the land and the limited knowledge and life skillsof the poor in the Maritengngae District, Sidrap Regency,became the main limiting factor for the use of the garden forcultivation. The Community Service-Learning and CommunityEmpowerment activity program (KKN = PPM) of UNMorganized program for target families to provide knowledgeand skills in the manufacture of organic fertilizers andcultivation of hydroponic systems. The goal was achieved byusing training methods, demonstration plots and mentoring.The activities that were realized included: a) increasedknowledge and skills of target residents in making organicfertilizer from household waste, and vegetable cultivation ofhydroponic systems; and b) fulfillment of the need for severaltypes of vegetables through utilization of the garden forcultivation. If this activity is sustainable and well developed,then the needs for the vegetable foodstuffs of the targetresidents will be fulfilled independently.

Abstract

Salah satu teknologi untuk meningkatkan daya simpan dan daya awet produk perikanan adalah diversifikasi olahan  hasil perikanan  pada pascapanen melalui proses pengolahan maupun pengawetan untuk mencegah proses pembusukan pada ikan, terutama pada saat produksi melimpah serta meningkatkan pendapatan nelayan atau petani ikan. Tujuan Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan memberikan ketrampilan kepada Guru-guru SMA se Kabupaten Takalar sebagai mitra untuk pemenuhan gizi sumber protein, meningkatkan pengetahuan , ketrampilan  serta penghasilan. Kegiatan dilkasanakan secara aktif demostratif  dengan melibatkan secara penuh  mitra mulai dari penyuluhan hingga demosntrasi pembuatan nugget ikan dan  otak-otak ikan. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini menunjukkan telah terjadi  peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan mitra tentang teknologi diversifikasi pengolahan ikan sebagai  teknologi tepat guna untuk  meningkatkan tingkat pendapatan mitra  serta pemenuhan gizi sumber protein hewani.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi formulasi pakan Black soldier fly (BSF) Hermetia illucens yang terdiri dari limbah ikan dan sayuran terhadap kandungan nutrisi larva BSF. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan 4.000 larva BSF yang telah memasuki fase instar dua. Pemeliharaan larva BSF dilakukan selama 15 hari. Pemberian pakan dilakukan sekali dalam 2-3 hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan A yaitu 10% limbah ikan : 90% limbah sayuran, B yaitu 20% limbah ikan : 80% limbah sayuran, C yaitu 30% limbah ikan : 70% limbah sayuran. Parameter yang diamati yaitu Kandungan nutrisi dalam tubuh larva BSF dianalisis menggunakan analisis proksimat. Data hasil analisis proksimat dianalisis menggunakan analysis of variance (ANOVA) dan Uji lanjut Duncan dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan C dengan 30% limbah ikan dan 70% limbah sayur memberikan hasil yang terbaik dengan kandungan protein tertinggi dibandingkan perlakuan A dan B. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa variasi formulasi pakan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kandungan nutrisi larva BSF Hermetia illucens. Abstract

Antioksidan merupakan senyawa yang dapat menghambat spesies oksigen reaktif dan juga radikal bebas sehingga antioksidan dapat mencegah penyakit yang berhubungan dengan radikal bebas. Daun kratom (Mitragyna speciosa Korth.) telah diteliti memiliki kandungan  diantaranya antiradang, antioksidan, dan antibakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak daun kratom. Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan uji DPPH selanjutnya, dilakukan pengukuran aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan spektrofotometer.  Hasil penelitian diperoleh ekstrak daun kratom memiliki aktivitas antioksidan sebesar 47,68% menggunakan pelarut etanol 70%.
