Abstract

The objective of this research were analyzed the suitability of Horton and Philips infiltration models in various land use in upper Progo sub watersheds. Infiltration rate was measured in the field used inundation method by double ring infiltrometer. This research also needed soil physic data, shape and land use area of upper Progo sub watersheds. Models were tested by comparing measurement infiltration rate and infiltration rate of the model, were tested statistically using correlation coefficient (R), deterministic coefficient (R2), and paired test (T test). The test results showed that Tcounted value were smaller than Ttable for both Horton and Philips infiltration model at various types of land use, but R and R2 value of Philips infiltration model higher than Horton. Conclusion of this research, that both Philips and Horton infiltration models were still quite suitable for determination infiltration rate in upper Progo sub watersheds. Philips infiltration model was better because simpler, constants more easily searchable, and not too influenced by subjectivity.Keywords : infiltration models, land use, suitability analysis, watersheds

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the giving of some cattles manures and coconut water concentration to yield of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum mill). This research had been conducted in the experimental farm Singamerta Institute for Agricultural Technology Banten. Starting from September to December 2013. The research used Randomized Completely Block Design, concisted of two factors. The first factors was the giving of cattles manures with three levels, they were: P0 (control), P1 (chicken manure) and (P2) cow manure. The second factor was coconut water concentration with four levels, they were: K0 (control), K1 (coconut water concentration 500 ml + water 500 ml), K2 (coconut water concentration 750 ml + water 250 ml ) and K3 (coconut water concentration 1000 ml). The result showed that the giving chicken manure gave the significant effect on number of fruits (4,53 fruit), the weight of fruits (84,63 g), diameter of fruits (28,16 mm). While the 1000 ml of coconut water concentration gave the significant effect on the weight of fruits (85,10 g) and the diameter of fruits (28,68 mm).Keywords : tomato, cattles manures, coconut water

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the response of frequency of plant watering and a dose of chicken manure fertilizer on kailan crops. This research was conducted at trial garden Singamerta Ciruas BPTP Banten from June to August 2014. This study used a Randomized Completely Block Design with two factors. The first factor was the frequency of the plant watering with four levels: F1= frequency of plant watering once a day, F2 =frequency of plant watering 2 days, F3 = frequency of plant watering 3 days, F4 = frequency of plant watering 4 days. The second factor was dose of chicken manure fertilizer with four level: P0 = without chicken manurefertilizer (control), P1 = 10 tonnes ha-1 (23.66 g per polybag), P2: 20 tonnes ha-1 (47.33 g per polybag), P3 = 30 tonnes ha-1 (71.00 g per polybag). Eachtreatment was repeated three times, so retrieved 48 the experimental units. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, plant fresh weight, root fresh weight, root dry weight, and plant dry weight. The resultsshowed that frequency of water one day once tend to provide real influence on the parameters of the age of 35 DAP plant height (30.13 cm), number ofleaf age 35 DAP (11.67 strands), plant fresh weight (93.78 g), weight wet roots (9.19 g), root dry weight (2.87 g), and plant dry weight (12.40g). Provision of chicken manure fertilizer with a dose of 47.33 g (20 tonnes ha-1) significant effect on the parameters of the plant fresh weight (96.84 g).

Abstract

This research was aimed to know effect of Physiological Character Response of Soybean Plants (Glycine max L.) on Waterlogging and Nitrogen Fertilizer. This research has been conducted from November 2019 until January 2020 at Green House Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Serang, Banten. This research used a Randomized Block Design with two factors, the first factor was waterlogging of four levels: 100% Soil Water Available (SWA), 125% SWA, 150% SWA, 175% SWA. The second factor was nitrogen fertilizer of three levels: 0 kg ha-1), 25 kg ha-1), 50 kg ha-1 with three replication. The results showed that treatment of waterlogging affects the number of soybean plant leaves at five Weeks After Planting (WAP). The number of leaves in the waterlogging treatment is 175% less compared to the waterlogging of 100% SWA, 125% SWA, and 150% SWA. Nitrogen treatment affects the stomata length of soybean crops. Nitrogen fertilizer doses of 50 kg ha-1 have a lower stomata length compared to doses of 0 kg ha-1 and 25 kg ha-1. There is interaction in the treatment of waterlogging and nitrogen fertilizers at a plant height of 2 WAP.

Abstract

The research was aimed to know the effect of giving various concentrations level of cow urine fermentation solution and soaking time to seed germination of trembesi (Samanea saman). Research was conducted from April to June 2017 at Greenhouse Agroecotechnology Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. The research used a Randomized Complete Design and arranged in factorial, consisted of two factors. The first factor was cow urine concentration consisted of four factors: 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%. The second factor was the duration of immersion consisting of three factors namely: 6 hours,12 hours, and 18 hours. The results showed that cow urine fermentation concentration 75% gave best result to germination age parameter 1,77%/day, maximum growth potential 36,11%, germination 31,11%, growth rate 1,20%, normal sprout potency 33,8% and abnormal germination potential 2,22%. The duration of soaking of (6 hours) trembesi seeds gave the best results on the germination age parameter 3,41%/day, maximum growth potential 31,66%, germination 25,41%, growth rate 1,05 %, Potency of normal sprout 30,41%. There was no interaction between the various concentration levels of cow urine fermentation solution and the soaking time to seed to the observed parameters except on the observed age germination parameters at 0% cow urine treatment with soaking time to seed 6 hours, and 75% cow urine treatment with soaking time to seed 6 hours (1,33% / day). Keywords: Soaking time to seed, Trembesi (Samanea saman), Urine  concentration

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of waterlogging and treatment of different doses of N (Urea) fertilizer on the growth and yield of soybean crops (Glycine max L. Merr.). This type of research is experimental research conducted at Green House Faculty of Agriculture Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa Serang – Banten University in November to January 2020. This study used quantitative methods with Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial, first factor waterlogging (G) consists of: g0 (100% Soil Water Available [SWA]), g1 (150% SWA), g2 (200% SWA), g3 (250% SWA) and the second factor of N fertilizer delivery namely n0 (0 kg/ha or without N), n1 (50 kg/ha), n2 (100 kg/ha) obtained 12 combinations of treatment each combination of repeated treatment 3 times until obtained 36 units of experiment. Each unit of experiment consists of 2 polybags so there are 72 polybags. The results showed that the treatment of waterlogging with 100% SWA had an effect on the number of filled pods per plant (13.00 pieces), the number of seeds per plant (27.67 grains), the wet weight of pods per plant (8.35 g), the dry weight of the pods per plant (1.76 g), and dry seed weight per plant (3.30 g). The treatment of fertilizer N shows no influence on the growth and yield of soybean crops. There is no interaction between waterlogging and N fertilizer in the growth and yield of soybean crops.

Abstract

Implementation of good cultivation systems can improve onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) yield. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tuber cuttings and the  dose of NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of onion. The experimental design was factorial randomized block design arranged consisting of two factors. The first factor was tuber cuttings which consists of without and with  ¼ and 1/3 cut; the second one was dosage of NPK fertilizer which consists of without and with 200 kg/ha; 400 kg/ha; 600 kg/ha. There are 12 combinations of treatments, each of which is repeated three times. The results showed that there was no interaction effect between tuber cutting and NPK dosages on growth and yield of onion. independent effect of tuber cuttings and NPK dosages also didn’t inflence both parameter. Tuber cuttings  only increase pant height at one and two weeks after planting. Overall, cutting-quarter of the tuber could induce better fresh  weight and dry weight of tubers although statistically didn’t significant.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of single dose of inorganic fertilizer N,P,K and the type of biological fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays subsp. mays L.). The study was arranged in a randomized block design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor was the dose of single inorganic fertilizer N,P,K, which consisted of 3 levels: D1: 100%, D2: 75%, and D3: 50%. The second factor is the type of biological fertilizer, which consisted of 3 levels: P1: Sinarbio, P2: Kayabio, and P3: Ecofert. The results showed that the application of a single inorganic fertilizer N,P,K at a dose of 75% had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of cobs planted, cob weight with cornhusk, cob weight without cornhusk, and yield potential. The type of biofertilizer Sinarbio has a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of cobs planted, number of cobs per plot, cob weight with cornhusk, cob weight without cornhusk, and yield potential. The use of a single dose of inorganic fertilizer N,P,K can be reduced to a dose of 75% of the recommendation for sweet corn plants with the application of biofertilizer Sinarbio.

Abstract

Mas Kirana banana (Musa acumunata L.) is a superior variety that has been inaugurated by the Ministry of Agriculture so it has great potential for cultivation. One of the successes of banana cultivation is sufficient irrigation. Drip irrigation is a watering method of choice that aims to utilize the very limited water availability efficiently. Banana plant water requirements can be calculated using the Cropwat 8.0 model. This research aims to determine the effect of drip irrigation scheduling calculated by Cropwat 8.0 at various time intervals on the growth of Mas Kirana banana (Musa acumunata L.) seedlings. This research used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with one factor, namely interval (I), which consisted of 3 levels, including I1 (1 day, 1 watering at 09.00 WIB), I2 (1 day, 2 waterings at 09.00 WIB and 16.00 WIB), and I3 (1 day 3 times watering (at 09.00 WIB, 13.00 WIB, and 16.00 WIB). The treatment was repeated 4 times. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), stem diameter (cm), and leaf greenness (SPAD). The results showed that scheduling drip irrigation with the amount of water needed from Cropwat 8.0 at a time interval of 2 times a day (I2) had the best effect on the height parameters of five-month-old Mas Kirana banana seedlings. The I2 treatment also tends to give higher average values for the parameters number of leaves, stem diameter, and leaf greenness (SPAD). Keywords: Banana var. Salah satu keberhasilan budidaya pisang adalah pengairan yang cukup. Irigasi tetes menjadi pilihan metode pengairan yang bertujuan memanfaatkan ketersedian air yang sangat terbatas secara efisien. Kebutuhan air tanaman pisang dapat dihitung dengan menggunakan model Cropwat 8.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penjadwalan irigasi tetes hasil perhitungan Cropwat 8.0 pada berbagai interval waktu terhadap pertumbuhan bibit tanaman pisang Mas Kirana (Musa acumunata L.). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) satu faktor yaitu interval (I) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf antara lain I1 (1 hari 1 kali penyiraman pukul 09.00 WIB), I2 (1 hari 2 kali penyiraman pukul 09.00 WIB dan 16.00 WIB), dan I3 (1 hari 3 kali penyiraman (pukul 09.00 WIB, 13.00 WIB, dan 16.00 WIB). Perlakuan diulangi sebanyak 4 kali. Parameter yang diamati adalah, tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), diameter batang (cm), dan kehijauan daun (SPAD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penjadwalan irigasi tetes dengan jumlah kebutuhan air hasil Cropwat 8.0 pada interval waktu 2 kali sehari (I2) memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman bibit pisang Mas Kirana berumur lima bulan. Perlakuan I2 juga memberikan nilai rata-rata cenderung lebih tinggi pada parameter jumlah daun, diameter batang, dan kehijauan daun (SPAD). Kata kunci: Cropwat 8.0, Irigasi tetes, Pisang Mas Kirana
