Abstract

The research was aimed to obtain the optimum concentration of BAP to buds growth as in vitro. It was conducted in the Tissue Culture Laboratory at Forestry and gardening seedling Unit of Forestry and Gardening Office of Banten Province from April until December 2008. The research used Randomized Completely Design on MS base medium with different BAP concentration: (1) B1 = MS + Kinetin 0.1 ppm + BAP 1 ppm, (2), B2 = MS + Kinetin 0,1 ppm + BAP 2 ppm, (3) B3 = MS + Kinetin 0,1 ppm + BAP 3 ppm, (4) B4 = MS + Kinetin 0,1 ppm + BAP 4 ppm, (5) B5 = MS + Kinetin 0,1 ppm + BAP 5 ppm. Each treatment was replicated ten times. The data was analyzed and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) 5 percent. The explant which grew in MS media with different BAP concentration showed radicle appearance. It tended to grow to be embryo, where it began with radicle length and was followed by bud formation. Higher BAP application for each treatment increased the germination. The best concentration of embryo germination which would be grown to be bud was 4 or 5 ppm BAP. Abstract

ABSTRACT Biodiversity of potential  soil microbes has been regarded as biological fertilizer of Zea mays in marginal land. A few microbe increased the rate of growth  of plant throught absorbtion slow released N and P in soil. The isolation, identification and population of soil microbes from rizosphere at Walantaka (Banten province) had been done in the Soil Biology Laboratories and the greenhouse, Pajajaran University- Bandung, during Mei to Agustus 2009. The soil was collected randomly from sites in Walantaka. To increase N and P using trapping and selection medium from from rizosphere at Walantaka (centre of Zea mays production), province of Banten.  The Exploration of potential microbe Isolates of Azotobacter, Azospirillum, microbes dissolver phosphate (MPF) dan Mycorrhyzae microbes were identified and were founded in soil samples. The result showed, on okon selection medium  can be found 4 Azospirillum, on Ashby medium  lived 4 Azotobacter,  and Pikovskaya medium got 2 MPF and Mycorrhyzae microbes.Key words: marginal land, Azospirillum, Azotobacter, MPF, Mycorrhyzae, Zea mays

Abstract

ABSTRACTPhosphorus deficiency test research in several clones of sugar cane produced in seven months has been carried out during 25 April-25 November 2007 in the Laboratory ICBB, Nagrak Cilubang-Bogor. The purpose of this research is to influence the interaction between phosphoru concentration of sugarcane clones. This research using completely randomized design arranged as a factorial with two factors. The first factor is composed of sugarcane clones with three levels different there are: cv. Triton (V1), cv. PSJT 94-41 (V2), and cv. PA 175 (V3). The second factor is the addition of KH2PO4 in the culture medium modification of P deficiency consisting of six levels, namely: 0 mg/l KH2PO4 (D1), 34 mg/l KH2PO4 (D2); 68 mg /l KH2PO4 (D3); 102 mg /l KH2PO4 (D4); 136 mg /l KH2PO4 (D5) and 170 mg /l KH2PO4 (D6). Results obtained by the interaction between concentration of P given by clones tested in vitro, and sugarcane cv PA 175 best growth on media by providing 170 mg /l KH2PO4Key words: Saccharum officinarum L, phosphorus, devisiensi, in vitro

Abstract

This study investigates the needs of English I for first-semester students at the Islamic Education Department and suggests an English I syllabus based on needs analysis for Islamic Education Department at STAI Al-GAzali Soppeng. This study employed a development research design and simple random and purposive sampling data from 50 students, five graduates, two lecturers, and one curriculum coordinator. The instruments for this study were questionnaires and interviews. The data were gathered through questionnaires by implementing Scala-Likert and were descriptively analyzed. The result shows that (1) students’ ability to learn English I is “poor” in pronunciation. (2) Students’ problems are complex in an oral presentation on learning speaking skills, difficult to understand native speakers on learning the listening skills, difficult to guess the core meaning of the text on learning reading skills, and difficult to compose correct sentences on learning writing. (3) Students prioritize learning preference, preferred topic, and learning style. Dialogue is speaking learning preference. The translation is reading learning preferences, learning from the rules of authorship is writing learning preferences, and listening and practising are listening learning preferences. The preferred topic is Islamic education and the discussion on learning style.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Formulasi dan sediaan spray secara alami dapat dimanfaatkan dari larutan fermentasi kombucha bunga telang sebagai salah satu upaya dalam menghambat pertumbuhan jamur patogen penyebab penyakit maupun infeksi yang terjadi pada tanaman komoditas hortikultura. Tujuan: Membuat formulasi dan sediaan Spray dengan bahan aktif larutan fermentasi kombucha bunga telang pada konsentarsi yang berbeda dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Fusarium oxyporum. Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental laboratorium yaitu dengan cara membuat formulasi dan sediaan spray dengan bahan aktif larutan fermentasi kombucha bunga telang pada konsentrasi gula sebesar 20%, 30%, dan 40%. Hasil: Konsentrasi gula pada sediaan spray kombucha bunga telang berbeda nyata dengan konsentrasi 20% dan 40% sebagai produk bioteknologi farmasi dan antifungi Fusarium oxyporum penyebab penyakit dan infeksi pada tanaman komoditas hortikultura dengan rata-rata diameter zona hambat adalah sebesar 14,03 mm yang termasuk kategori kuat.  Kesimpulan: Bahwa semakin tinggi konsentrasi gula sebagai substrat pada formulasi dan sediaan spray dengan bahan aktif larutan fermentasi kombucha bunga telang, maka semakin berpotensi juga sebagai produk bioteknologi farmasi dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Fusarium oxyporum.

Abstract

Tanaman melon merupakan tanaman yang disukai masyarakat karena rasanya yang manis dan mengandung vitamin dan mineral. Permintaan melon meningkat pertahunnya, tetapi benih melon yang digunakan adalah benih impor, sehingga kurang efisien dalam budidaya melon. Solusi untuk menekan biaya produksi melon dengan menggunakan benih lokal adalah dengan menggunakan metode pemuliaan tanaman. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2021-Februari 2022 di Benih Sumber Andalan Research Center. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif, analisis komponen utama, dan analisis klaster. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada Galur BSA-D dan BSA-Dk terdapat keseragaman dalam masing-masing galur pada beberapa karakter uji yang sudah diamati, sedangkan pada Galur BSA-A dan BSA-F masih terdapat keragaman di dalam masing-masing galur. Terdapat keragaman diantara galur melon unggul yang diuji.

Abstract

Growth Response of Durian (Durio zibethinus Murr.) Cuttings to the Addition of ZPT and POC Banana Kepok Peel in the Seeding Phase. The production of durian fruit in Indonesia fluctuates annually, yet there continues to be a high demand for durian. This research explores the use of Plant Growth Regulators (ZPT) and Liquid Organic Fertilizers (POC) to enhance durian propagation efficiency. The aim is to understand the effects of ZPT and POC on durian plant response, grafting models, and bud break time, aiming to produce high-quality durian seedlings. The experimental research method employed a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with cluster randomization. The study consisted of 2 factors with 3 replications each: ZPT Growtone (G1: 5 mg/l; G2: 10 mg/l; G3: 15 mg/l) and POC Banana Peel (P1: 100 ml/polybag; P2: 200 ml/polybag; P3: 300 ml/polybag), resulting in 27 experimental units. The results indicate that ZPT treatment influenced the percentage of successful grafting but did not affect bud break days, length of scion, leaf emergence, or rootstock length. Meanwhile, the POC banana peel treatment affected plant height and scion length but did not influence grafting success rate, bud break, leaf emergence, or rootstock length. There was no interaction observed between the effects of ZPT and POC banana peel on each parameter.

Abstract

Kecenderungan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan taraf hidup yang sehat untuk memanfaatkan bahan herbal sebagai bahan aktif sediaan pangan fungsional, bahan aktif sediaan obat maupun kosmetik cenderung mengalami peningkatan yang berkolerasi secara positif dengan peningkatan jumlah penduduk. Fakta dilapangan yang sering terjadi dan membuat cemas para petani yaitu terjadinya penurunan suatu kualitas bahkan kuantitas dari setiap aktivitas budidaya, sehingga pemenuhan bahan pangan fungsional, bahan aktif obat maupun kosmetik menjadi semakin terhambat. Tantangan dan tanggung jawab seorang pemuliaan tanaman yang memiliki kemampuan pada bidang rekayasa genetika tanaman atau yang dikenal sebagai bioteknologi modern (teknologi DNA rekombinan) menjadi semakin meningkat untuk mengembangkan nya yaitu dengan metode rekayasa partenokarpi (buah tanpa biji), biofisika (radiasi), yang perlu dilakukan pengujian pada fasilitas uji lapangan terbatas, sehingga menjadi tanaman transgenik yang tahan simpan setelah diverivikasi melalui PCR dan divisualisasi gen (DNA) pemabawa partenokarpi hasil PCR melalui gel agarosa. Salah satu tanaman komoditas hortikultura yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai bahan sediaan pangan fungsional, obat, dan kosmetik yaitu tomat. Hasil penelitian terkini telah membuktikan bahwa kandungan tomat berupa likopen sebagai salah satu senyawa metabolit sekunder golongan flavonoid dapat dikembangkan sebagai obat kumur, hipertensi, sebagai sediaan kosmetik berupa formulasi dan sediaan lip balm, dan sabun mandi cair yang bersifat antioksidan. Likopen yang terkandung pada buah tomat berperan penting sebagai sumber antioksidan dalam menangkal radikal bebas, sehingga dapat dikembangkan sebagai bahan pangan fungsional, obat, dan kosmetik melalui jalur rekayasa metabolic (biokimia). jalur biosintesis flavonoid yang terdiri dari dua jalur yaitu jalur siklamat dan asam malonat.
