Abstract

It was a quasi-experimental research with pretest and posttest design.  It was instigated by the low of student learning achievement on Thermochemistry lesson.  This research aimed at knowing the effect of implementing Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model with Kokami media toward student learning achievement on Thermochemistry lesson.  The subjects of this research were the eleventh-grade students of Natural Science of State Senior High School 1 Tambusai Utara.  Simple random sampling technique was used in this research, and it was obtained two classes—the eleventh-grade students of Natural Science 2 as the experimental group and the students of Natural Science 1 as the control group.  The data were collected by using observation, preliminary data test that was homogeneity, final data tests that were pretest and posttest, and documentation.  Kp formula was used to know the effect of implementing TGT learning model with Kokami media toward student learning achievement.  The effect difference was analyzed by using independent sample t-test.  The analysis results of preliminary and final data showed that tobserved was 3.184 and ttable was 1.995 at 0.05 significant level.  The score of tobserved was higher than ttable, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.  It meant that there was an effect of implementing TGT learning model with Kokami media toward student learning achievement on Thermochemistry lesson at the eleventh grade of Natural Science of State Senior High School 1 Tambusai Utara, and the effect was 16.3%.Keywords: Learning Achievement, Teams Games Tournament (TGT), Kokami Media, Thermochemistry

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research was the presence of the covid-19 virus which is spreading rapidly throughout Indonesia, the number of people infected has made the government dismiss students, teachers, college students, lecturers, and workers. One of the activities that are obstracted due to this pandemic is the learning process. Therefore, the government has established an online teaching and learning system policy to stop the spread of covid-19. This alternative makes google classroom one of the media that can be used to assist teachers and students in carrying out online teaching and learning activities. The aim of this research was to know the effectiveness of online learning through Google Classroom on Chemistry Subject at State Senior High School 2 Singingi. The technique of collecting data in this research was online survey method with google form. The sample of this research was XI MIA 1 class that is consisted of 30 students based on purposive sampling technique. The questionnaire instrument in this research used the QAIT model indicators according to Slavin. Based on the research findings, the mean percentages of each effectiveness indicator showed that the online learning that is carried out is enough to replace face to face learning during the pandemic, the students also feel that the goals of online learning activities can be achieved well using Google classroom as a media. In addition, supporting data in the form of daily test results showed that the percentage of complete learning is 96,66% of students can achieve the standard of minimum criteria of mastery learning (KKM). Then, there is the effectiveness of online learning through google classroom on chemistry subject at state senior high school 2 Singingi. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tidak pernahnya digunakan mediaapembelajaran seperti video pada proses pembelajaran, dikarenakan terbatasnya media yang disediakan oleh sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendesain video pembelajaran model ICARE pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit dengan bantuan software adobe after effects yang diuji kevalidan nya berdasarkan validitas ahli materi, ahli media, uji praktikalitas guru dan siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang meliputi tahapan (1) analisis kebutuhan, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan produk awal, (4) uji coba awal, (5) revisi awal. Uji lapangan awal dilakukan di SMA X Pekanbaru terhadap peserta didik kelas X IPA RISET 1. Hasil validasi ahli media dan ahli materi diperolah nilai sebesa 92,5 % dengan kriteria sangat valid. Uji praktikalitas guru mendapatkan hasil sebesar 96,66 % dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan uji praktikalitas respon siswa mendapatkan hasil sebesar 93,42 % dengan kategori sangat praktis. Kata Kunci :Video Pembelajaran, Adobe After Effects, ICARE, Larutan Elektrolit dan Non Elektrolit Abstract This research was instigated with never used audio-visual (video) learning media in the learning process due to the limited media provided at school. This research aimed at designing ICARE model learning video on Electrolyte and Nonelectrolyte Solution Lesson with Adobe After Effects Software, and it was tested its validity based on material and media expert validation, teacher and student practicality test. Research and Development (R&D) method was used in this research with Borg and Gall model including steps of (1) need analysis, (2) planning, (3) developing the initial product, (4) preliminary test, and (5) preliminary revision. Preliminary field test was conducted to the tenth-grade students of class IPA RISET 1 at Senior High School of Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru. The media and material validation result score was 92.5% with very valid criterion. The result of teacher practicality test was 96.66% with very practical category, the result of student response practicality test was 93.42% with very practical category. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar saat terjadi pandemi COVID-19 ditinjau dari tingkat kemandirian siswa dalam mempelajari kimia di MAN 2 Kampar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain non-eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala kemandirian belajar yang dibagi atas tiga tingkatan yaitu tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIA MAN 2 Kampar yang berjumlah 46 orang. Pengumpulan data untuk variabel kemandirian belajar dilakukan dengan kuesioner melalui google form sedangkan pengumpulan data hasil belajar dilakukan dengan dokumentasi guru yang diambil berdasarkan nilai kimia siswa saat terjadinya pandemi COVID-19. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan komparatif dengan melakukan pengujian one way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian diperoleh untuk tingkat kemandirian belajar siswa terbagi ke dalam tiga kelompok yaitu 60,87% siswa kategori sedang, 21,74% siswa kategori rendah dan 17,39% siswa kategori tinggi. Untuk hasil belajar siswa terbagi ke dalam tiga kelompok, 89,13% siswa kategori sedang, 6,52% siswa kategori rendah dan 4,35% siswa kategori tinggi. Ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar saat terjadinya pandemi COVID-19 ditinjau dari kemandirian siswa pada pelajaran kimia di MAN 2 Kampar. Kategori kemandirian belajar siswa tinggi memiliki perbedaan hasil belajar paling berbeda dari pada kelompok kemandirian belajar sedang dan rendah. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin mandiri seorang siswa dalam pembelajaran kimia semakin baik hasil belajarnya selama pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

Students nowadays are used to take the advantage of technological advances in their daily lives, especially for education. Thus, students prefer to learn with by the collaboration of the latest electronic media. Therefore, electronic media is a must for the learning process. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of validity and practicality of Uno flashcard learning media on Assemblr Edu-based application on nomenclature of compound materials. The type of the research is DDR (Design and Development Research) development model with the stages of analysis, design, and development. This research was conducted in 2 schools, SMA Cendana Pekanbaru and SMA IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru. The data was collected by interviews and questionnaires. Then the data analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The validity level obtained from this product is 93% (very valid), while the level of practicality obtained by teachers is 95% (very practical), and the response rate from students is 90% (very practical). Based on these results, it can be concluded that  the uno flashcard learning media based on Assemblr Edu application on nomenclature of compound material is very feasible and practical to use in the process of learning nomenclature of compound. The implication of this research is that it can provide new and innovative learning experiences to teachers and students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' chemical mastery in learning is still low, especially for abstract concept/theory material. This can be seen from students being less active and lacking memory in following the learning process.  In addition, schools only rely on textbooks that make students less interested in learning and there is no student workbook to support students' understanding. This research aimed at knowing the appropriateness of the instructional media design in the form of Probing-Prompting based student workbook on Periodic System of the Elements lesson.  It was administered at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru.  It was R&D (Research and Development) with 4-D model, and it was limited to 3 models—define, design, and development.  The subjects of this research were the experts of material, the experts of media, and the experts of language, Chemistry subject teachers, 10 students at the tenth grade of MIA 1.  The object was Probing-Prompting based student workbook on Periodic System of the Elements lesson.  The research findings showed that Probing-Prompting based student workbook was appropriate to be used and it was based on the results of validity and practicality levels.  The percentage of validity level obtained was 85.78% (very valid) and the practicality level was 85.33% (very practical).  Based on theses results, it could be identified that Probing-Prompting based student workbook could be tested further.

Abstract

AbstractARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction) learning model is one of alternatives for teachers in conducting learning activities well because it is designed based on the learning theory. Learning achievement is a result that can be achieved by someone consciously or unconsciously with the hard work results of learning. This research aimed at analyzing ARIAS learning model in increasing student learning achievement on covalent bond lesson.  This research was conducted on covalent bond lesson in the academic year of 2022/2023 at state senior high school 12 Pekanbaru. Quasi-experimental method was used in this research.  The subjects of this research were two classes-experimental and control groups. The instruments used in this research were pretest-posttest, interview, and documentation to strengthen the data obtained. Based on the research findings, the posttest showed that the score of significance (2-tailed) 0 was lower than 0.05, so it showed that there was a significant difference between experimental and control groups. Besides, the N-Gain mean of student learning achievement in the experimental group was 11.43%, it was on high category, and the control group was 5.71% with moderate category. It could be concluded that learning with ARIAS learning model was effective to be used for student learning achievement.Keywords : ARIAS Model, Student Learning Achievement, Covalent Bond

Abstract

This research aimed at developing a pocket book containing science generiC skills on Reaction Rate lesson and knowing validity level, practicality level, and student response to the developed pocket book.  It was Research and Development (R&D) with Borg and Gall model.  The subjects of this research were 10 the twelfth-grade students of Natural Science 3 at Islamic Senior High School of Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The object was the pocket book containing science generik skills on Reaction Rate lesson. Validity test questionnaire, practicality test questionnaire, student response test questionnaire, interview, and documentation were the techniques of collecting the data. Analyzing the data was done by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques.  The research findings showed that the validity level of the chemistry pocket book was 76.3% (valid), the practicality level was 81.2% (very practical), and the percentage of student response to the pocket book was 84.2% (very good).  It could be concluded that the chemistry pocket book containing science generik skills on Reaction Rate lesson could be tested wider.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), has transformed educational practices and learning environments. This study investigates the impact of AI-based digital learning on student learning motivation and digital literacy in Riau.A quantitative research design was employed using a questionnaire administered to 45 students in Riau. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Path Analysis (version 3.0) to examine the relationships between AI-based digital learning, learning motivation, and digital literacy.The findings reveal that AI-based digital learning does not have a statistically significant effect on student learning motivation (β = -0.607; T = 0.607 1.97; p = 0.544 0.05). In contrast, AI-based digital learning has a significant positive effect on students’ digital literacy (β = 0.360; T = 3.047 1.97; p = 0.000 0.05). These results indicate that while AI integration enhances students’ digital competencies, it does not necessarily foster their motivation to learn.The study suggests that AI-based learning should be complemented with interactive pedagogical strategies—such as collaborative learning, gamification, and reward-based approaches—to effectively enhance student motivation. Despite its limited influence on motivation, AI demonstrates substantial potential in improving digital literacy, enabling educators to promote advanced digital skills through smart learning applications, data-driven learning, and AI-supported platforms. These findings highlight the importance of balancing technological integration with pedagogical innovation to maximize learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena terbatasnya sumber belajar mandiri peserta didik. Untuk itu dalam penelitian ini dirancang desain dan uji coba e-book dengan pendekatan dilemmas stories menggunakan software kvisoft flipbook pada materi reaksi reduksi-oksidasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan modifikasi model 4D menjadi 3D dengan tahap Pendefinisian (define), Perancangan (design), dan Pengembangan (development). E-book ini terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji validasi oleh 2 orang dosen dan di uji praktikalitas oleh 2 orang guru dan juga angket respon peserta didik. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar angket yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase penilaian pada validasi media oleh ahli materi dan ahli media sebesar 84.82% dengan kriteria penilaian sangat valid, dan persentase penilaian pada uji praktikalitas peserta didik dan guru sebesar 83.33% dengan kriteria penilaian sangat praktis. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book dengan pendekatan dilemmas stories pada materi reaksi reduksi-oksidasi dinyatakan valid dan praktis sehingga dapat di uji cobakan selanjutnya, serta dengan menggunakan media ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik khususnya pada materi reaksi reduksi oksidasi.
