Abstract

This study aims to understand the implementation of Islamic work ethics among working women in small and medium enterprises. This study used a questionnaire distributed to employees of SMEs, especially Muslim women in Kudus. Among the total of 300 questionnaires distributed, only 217 were returned, which related to the understanding of the role of women employees in the practice of Islamic work ethics. Based on the findings of the study, workers thrive in the five dimensions of Islamic work ethic, namely benevolence (ihsan), hardworking and maximum effort (mujahadah), competitiveness, self-discipline, and good intentions (niyyah).    Muslim women workers have the knowledge and awareness to apply the Islamic work ethic by promoting Islamic values in the workplace. These results have implications for micro-entrepreneurs to implement a work ethic based on Islamic values because it positively affects the behavior of Muslim women workers.

Abstract

The objective of this study examined the influence of islamic leadership and workplace spirituality on organizational citizenship behavior among the millennial generation muslim employees in Central Java, Indonesia. Furthermore, the research also examined the role of islamic work ethic on organizational citizenship behavior. The questionnaires were distributed to Muslim millennial employees in Central Java in order to conduct a survey. For this study, a sample of 500 respondents was purposefully chosen, and 435 of those responses were returned and used. The variables and items were assessed using a five-point Likert scale. The data were further analyzed with multiple regression analysis.  The results indicate that there is a significant positive effect of spiritual leadership and Islamic work ethic on organizational citizenship behavior. However, the study also found workplace spirituality does not influence organizational citizenship behavior. This study provides an understanding of the work behavior of the muslim millennial generation.  This study will provide good insight for the organization to understand the role of Islamic leadership, workplace spirituality, and Islamic work ethic on organizational citizenship behavior among the millennial generation muslim employees in Central Java, Indonesia.

Abstract

This research strives to empirically examine and analyze the influence of syariah marketing and service quality on BMT customer loyalty and satisfaction in Kudus Regency. This study was a survey research that used a quantitative approach. The research data were obtained from 250 BMT customers within Kudus Regency by using an accidental sampling technique. Meanwhile, the data analysis used a path analysis technique. The research findings revealed that: first, sharia marketing has a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction; second, service quality has a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction; third, sharia marketing has a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty; fourth, service quality has a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty; and fifth, customer satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study examined the influence of Islamic work ethics to organizational commitment, employee retention and productivity in SMEs of Tenun Troso. The study used 100 employees who work in small and medium enterprises of Tenun Ikat Troso in Pecangaan Jepara.The  Study found  that there was a significant positive effect of Islamic work ethics to organizational commitment, employee retention and productivity. The result is expected to benefit theoretically and practically for the community and especially for the management of small and medium enterprises troso Pecangaan Jepara as well as for research in the future. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh etika kerja Islam terhadap komitmen  organisasi,  retensi  karyawan  dan  produktifitas di  UKM tenun Troso. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 100 orang karyawan yang bekerja di usaha kecil dan menengah Tenun Ikat troso Pecangaan Jepara. Hasil penetian ini menunjukan adanya pengaruh positif signifikan etika  kerja  Islam  terhadap  komitmen  organisasi,  retensi  karyawan dan produktifitas. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan memberi manfaat secara teoritis maupun praktis bagi masyarakat dan khususnya bagi pengelolaan usaha kecil dan menengah tenun ikat troso pecangaan Jepara serta bagi penelitian di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of quality of work life on job satisfaction, organiSational commitment, turnover intention and job stress among the employees of Baitul Mal wat Tamwil (BMT) in Kudus Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. The study uses a sample of 150 employees from 13 institutions of BMT. The empirical testing indicates that quality of work life has positive effects on both job satisfaction and organizational commitment; whereas there is no significant evidence of the effect of quality of work life on turnover intention and job stress. Implication, limitation and suggestion for future research are discussed.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the factors affecting Non Performing Financing (NPF) in Sharia Banking in Indonesia such as: Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), Exchange Rate, and Inflation. The data used in this research is obtained from the Publication Report on the official website of the Financial Services Authority and Bank Indonesia within a period of six years. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis model which is processed through Eviews 7.0 application. The result of hypothesis testing shows that Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) has negative and significant effect to Non Performing Financing (NPF), the exchange rate has positive and significant influence to Non Performing Financing (NPF), inflation have positive and non significant effect to Non Performing Financing (NPF), and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), Exchange Rate, and Inflation together have significant influence to dependent variable that is Non Performing Financing (NPF).

Abstract

Online shopping is an ubiquitous phenomenon among young consumers. The development of internet on transactions has caused fear, mistrust and risk among online consumers.  The objective of this study is to examine the effect of product reviews, prices, transaction trust, and security transactions on decisions in Islamic millennial generation online purchases. The sample in this study is the Muslim young generation who use a lot of online shoppings, a total of 120 respondents were requested to complete the questionnaires, of which 96 were returned using a purposive sampling technique with a minimum expenditure of spending 3 times in the last 3 months. The results of this study indicate that product reviews, prices, trust and security have significant effect on online purchasing decisions. This study also discusses the implications, limitations, and suggestions for the future research.

Abstract

The rate of margin in the contract murabaha not only affects on the level of profit sharing of shareholders, but also affect on the depositors. This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence on the determination of the profit margin in the murabaha financing. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis with the variable operating costs, profit targets, cost of funds, risk cost andthe average margin level market. Results of this study indicate that factors operating costs, risk of cost, and the average margin market significantly influence the determination of the profit margin onmurabaha financing at BMT in  Jepara Regency. While the factor cost of funds and profit targets not significantly affect the profit margin on murabaha financing.Tingkat margin yang ditentukan dalam akad murabahah tidak hanya berpengaruh terhadap tingkat bagi hasil pemegang saham, tetapi juga berpengaruh pada bagi hasil yang diberikankepada anggota penyimpan dana. Inikarena Murabahah merupakan akad pembiayaan yang paling dominan di lembaga keuangan syariah. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yangberpengaruh terhadap penetapan profit margin pada pembiayaan murabahah. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan variable biaya operasional, profit target, costof fund, risk cost dan tingkat rata-rata marjin pasar. hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor biaya operasional,  risk of cost, dan ratarata margin pasar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penetapan profitmargin pada pembiayaan murabahah di BMT Se-Kabupaten  Jepara. Sedangkan faktor cost of fund dan profit target tidak berpengaruh secarasignifikan terhadap profit margin pada pembiayaan murabahah di BMT Se-Kabupaten  Jepara.

Abstract

The current study explored the relationship between training, organizational culture, and work performance in Islamic microfinance institutions in Kudus Regency. Specifically, this study examined the effect of training and organizational culture on performance among employees. Survey data was consisted of 84 employees from Islamic microfinance institutions. The empirical tests indicated that training has significant effect on performance. Also, organizational culture has significant effect on performance. Implication, limitation and suggestion for future research are discussed.Keywords:   training, organizational culturePenelitian ini menguji hubungan antara pelatihan, budaya organisasi dan kinerja di lembaga keuangan mikro syariah di Kabupaten Kudus. Abstract

This research aims to discover the factors that influence SMEs workers in zakat paying intention in Central Java, Indonesia. Five factors are studied, including the understanding of zakat, the environment of zakat practices, the credibility of zakat institutions, the function of information, and the roles of religious leaders. This study used 394 SMEs employees who worked in various fields, and the data was processed using multiple regression. The results of this study indicate that the understanding of zakat, the environment of zakat practices, the credibility of zakat institutions, the function of information, and the roles of religious leaders significantly influence zakat paying intention among SMEs workers. The implications of this research need awareness of the managers and stakeholders of zakat institutions need to pay attention to five factors: the understanding of zakat, the environment of zakat practices, the credibility of zakat institutions, the function of information, and the roles of religious leaders because they have a significant impact on the successful development of zakat management ecosystems.
