Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this research are to know the ffictiveness of STAD method as one of thecooperative teaching method and compared it with the conventional one. The effectiveness parametersused was the sudent achievement on biology. This research held upon the student of the first grade andof the 2il semester of SMP Negeri 10 Siiakarta in academic yiar of 2004/2005. Clustered randomsampling technique was used upon two classes' i.e the treatment class (using STAD method) andconventional one. Data obtained was then analyzed by t-test.The research concluded that application STAD on facing the curriculum 2004 is a goodteaching method. Abstract

The aim of this research were to study the influence of using the scientific method on these following aspect: (l) The lmprovement of concept of 4thsemester?s subject of Biological Education, FKIP UNS, (2) Whether the memory capabilities can be used as a predtictor or not (3) The Carefulness can be used as a significant predictor and (4) contribution of each predictor on that improvement. Descriptive quantitative research methods with expofacto were used. t test and regression were used to analyse the data. Data are collected by test method and lt's collection with two design; comparative and corelative on 30 samples of the 4th semester's student. The result showed that the scientific method could raise the improvement of subject concept only slightly with no statistical differences. Beside, there is a positive correlation between either the memory capabilities or carefulness and the improvement the concept, Key word:  Biological education with scientific method, lmprovement of concept ,memory capabilities

Abstract

The aims of this research were to know the relationship among biological learning difficulties with affective competence and cognitive competence and each contribution to that difficulties toward student of SMUN 8 Surakarta. This research was carried out during academic year of 2004/2005. This was the descriptive quantitative research with ex post facto. The threated student was sampled in amount of 40 students by simple random sampling.  The data obtained was then analized by multivariate-linear regression analysis. The result showed that there was significant difference between biological learning difficulties with affective competence and cognitive competence. The dominant contributor to the difficulties was the affective competence (82,29%). This research also found that there was correlation between those two competences. Abstract

AbstractThis research was carried out upon the X grade student of SMA Negeri 2 Sragen. This research wereaimed to find the correlation between psychic vitality and cognitive, correlation between psychologicalcompetence and psychomotor competence with cognitive competence on biological learning and the dominantcontribution for each independent variable to cognitive competence on biological learning.This is a descriptive-quantitative research with ex post facto. The population of the study is the Xgrade of SMA Negeri 2 Sragen in academic year of 2004/2005. The sampling technique used is Simple RandomSampling. Sample was taken on 40 students within 8 classes. The data was then analyzed by using MultipleLinear Regretions.The result of research showed that there is positive correlation between psychologicat vitality andcognitive competence on biological learning of the X grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sragen (r,ty = 0.424 withFstqtistic = 8'325 ) Ftabte (1,38; 0.0, = 4.10). Positive correlation was obtqin betyveen psychomotor competence andcognitivecompetenceonbiologicallearning(r,zy=0.346withF,so,;,,ir=5.163)Ftabte(1,38;0.0s)=4.10. Abstract

The purpose  of this research  to  enhance  students discussion  activity  by using  of  STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) learning method with worksheets in class XI IPA 1 SMAN 5 Wonogiri 2008/2009 school year. Kind  of  this research  is  a classroom action research  with  the design consisted  of  two  cycles and each cycle consists  four stages  includes planning, action,  observation  and reflection. The  research subject was  XI IPA  5  class students of SMAN 1 Wonogiri of 2008/2009 school year. Data collection carried out by observation, questionnaires and interviews. Analyzing data in this research is using  qualitative analysis techniques, which refers to the  interactive  analysis model, consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The validation of the data uses triangulation technique. The results of  first cycle  showed  students  discussion activity  there has been  an increased in  but  not optimized  and  continue in  second  cycle  until the target of  students  discussion activity  has been  optimal  reached.  Based  on the research it can  be  concluded  application  of the  STAD (Student  Teams Achievement  Division) learning method  with worksheets to improving student activity in the discussion, especially biology in class XI IPA 1 SMAN 5 Wonogiri 2008/2009 school year. Key Words: discussion activity, Student Teams Achievement Division

Abstract

Desa Krebet merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Masaran, Kabupaten Sragen, Jawa Tengah. Sebagian besar generasi muda desa ini tidak melanjutkan pendidikan hingga perguruan tinggi karena disebabkan oleh berbagai macam faktor dan mereka lebih memilih bekerja untuk membantu perekonomian keluarganya. Oleh karena itu, tim KKN UNS mengadakan program kerja Jembatan Impian: Sosialisasi Pentingnya Pendidikan dan Akses Beasiswa untuk Generasi Muda Desa Krebet yang bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan dan pemahaman yang lebih detail tentang pentingnya pendidikan di perguruan tinggi dan akses beasiswa yang dapat digunakan pemuda pemudi Desa Krebet untuk melanjutkan pendidikan. Metode pelaksanaan program kerja ini terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap akhir. Dengan adanya program kerja tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya pendidikan tinggi bagi generasi muda Desa Krebet yang sesuai dengan KKNI (Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia) dan pengenalan KIP-K (Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah) sebagai salah satu bantuan pendidikan kepada masyarakat yang kurang mampu dalam hal perekonomian.
