Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out the icons, indexes, and symbols found in the mantra ritual bulean in Talang Mamak community. The type of research applied is qualitative with descriptive method of semiotic approach. Technique of collecting data in this research is labeling documentation technique. The data collected is obtained from the medical treatment book of Talang Mamak community in Indragiri Hulu Regency. The data have been analyzed using Charles Morris theory with several stage: data presentation, data discussion, data analysis and conclusion drawing. Viewed from the semiotic side, the writer get the icon, index, and symbol in spell of ritual bulean in society Talang Mamak found one hundred fifty five data. Icon data found as many as fifty two data. Index data found as many as thirty-one data. The symbol was found for seventy-two data.Keywords: Bulean rituals, spells, semiotics.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is to describe grammatical ambiguity and lexical ambiguity on online news in the site of tribunnews.com in December 2018. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data obtained using reading techniques and note taking techniques. Then, the data is analyzed by reading the news text first then recording the parts according to the problems to be studied using a small book. From the data obtained in the online news on the site of tribunnews.com in December 2018, the types of grammatical ambiguity found include grammatical ambiguity based on punctuation and conjunctions, then grammatical ambiguity caused by branched phrases. Then the type of lexical ambiguity found is lexical ambiguity based on the form of shifting use, based on the form of specialization in the social environment, based on the form of figurative language, based on a form of understanding of incomplete meanings, based on forms of foreign influence, based on homonymy forms.Key Words: Language Ambiguity, Online News, Tribunnews.Com

Abstract

Abstract: This study titled is Endofora Reference in the novel of Hujan by Tere Liye. In general, the problem studied in this study is about the type of endofora reference based on the direction and type of object in the novel of Hujan by Tere Liye. This study aimed to describe the reference endofora in the novel of Hujan by Tere Liye. This research is very beneficial either pratically, theoretically and educationally. Operational definitions in this research are referent relations with symbols that represent them both based on the reference position and type of object. The research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. This research data is the entire sentence that uses a reference endofora in the novel Hujan by Tere Liye. The data source of this study was obtained directly from the novel of Hujan by Tere Liye. Data obtained using the technique of record. Then, the data were analyzed by identifying and classifying based on a reference shape endofora novel text. From the data obtained in the novel of Hujan by Tere Liye, endofora reference forms are found among other personal references anaphora categories, demonstrative reference anaphora categories, comparative reference anaphora categories, personal references katafora categories, demonstrative reference katafora categories, and comparative references katafora categories. Types of personal pronouns used, among others, aku, saya, kamu, -mu, Anda, dia, ia, -nya, mereka, kita, and kalian. Kind of demonstrative pronouns used, among others, ini, itu, sini, and sana. Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the use of abusive language in the Sakai language in Minas District, Siak Regency. The technique of collecting data is done by interviewing, recording, and recording the utterances spoken by the informant. Data were analyzed to describe crude language in the form, form, reference, and use. In this study the rough language in the Sakai language used by the Minas community in the form of forms is divided into words, phrases, and clauses. Based on rough language references in the Sakai language, Minas Subdistrict is distinguished by circumstances, animals, objects, body parts, spirits, and activities.Key Words: Abusive language, form, reference, situation.

Abstract

Abstract : This study discusses how the ability to write kuatrin the suitability aspect theme, diction and rhyme with the object of class X High School Masmur Sport Pekanbaru. This study aims to (1) Determine the ability to write kuatrin the suitability aspect theme, diction and rhyme with the object. The population in this study were all students of class X High School Masmur Sports Pekanbaru academic year 2013/2014, amounting to 25 people. This is a form of descriptive research is a method that examines the phenomenon under study or a portrait of what it is in accordance with what seemed at the time this study was conducted. Sources of data in this study consisted of poetry kuatrin aspects of the theme, diction and rhyme. Data collection techniques using test technique, which tests writing poetry text. Kuatrin new form of poetry consisting of four lines in each stanza rhyme aa-aa, ab-ab, aa-bb. The stages in the writing of poetry kuatrin are: (1) Students observe the school environment (2) Students write poetry texts based on observations of the school environment. Thus, the text written poems based on his interpretation of the school environment. While the analysis of the data using a method to measure the ability of each student is to provide a score that is adapted to the method of analysis, ie by giving value to the aspect of themes, diction, and rhyme. Based on the results of this study concluded that: (1) the results of these studies demonstrate the ability to write poetry kuatrin class X High School Masmur Sports Pekanbaru being categorized. This is evident from the data obtained. And the lack of interest of students to be interested in writing poetry.Keywords : poetry, kuatrin

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to identify the work ethic of characters in novel Rantau 1 Muara By A. Fuadi. Novel Rantau 1 Muara By A. Fuadi tells a lot about the ethos of the work done by figures, so according the author that needs to be researched. Problems in this research is about the work ethic aspect that is divided three, namely: (1) aspect of interpersonal skill shown by 17 characters, (2) aspect of inisiative shown by 16 characters, and (3) aspect of reliable shown by 7 characters. The reference theory is advanced by Hill and Gregory. The type of reasearch is qualitative with analysis descriptive method. Based on research result, the researcher found that 186 datas, thats: (1) 87 datas on interpersonal skill of aspect, (2) 74 datas on inisiative of aspek, and (3) 25 datas on reliable of aspect. So, the most data is on interpersonal skill of aspect and more specially is on help of character . A trait would help ease the burden of others. Based on research can be concluded that the characters in novel Rantau 1 Muara by A. Fuadi has characters that show work ethic. Researcher suggest research about work ethic need to be developed further, becaused of the work ethic in the novel can serve as a role model.Key Word : work ethic, novel, characters

Abstract

Abstract: This research was titled Expressive Speech in Dewi Lestari's Novel Kertas Boat. This study aims to analyze expressive speech acts in Dewi Lestari's novel paper boat on the form and meaning contained in the novel. The method used is descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. In this study, the authors used two techniques, namely documentation or library techniques and data collection techniques by reading Dewi Lestari's novel KapalKertas as a source of data as a whole, marking and underlining each speech in accordance with the form and meaning of expressive speech acts, classifying forms and meanings expressive speeches in Dewi Lestari's novel PerahuKertas, analyzing and describing the form of expressive speech acts and the meaning of expressive speech acts in Dewi Lestari's paper boat novel. The results of this study indicate that the first form of expressive speech acts in Dewi Lestari's paper boat novel, the form of this study amounts to 123 data, from the results of the research the authors found in the form and meaning of expressive speech acts in the form of expressive speech acts in the form of asking sorry consists of twenty-five data, states congratulations consists of fourteen data, say greetings consist of seven data, say thank you consists of thirty one data, pleasure consists of five data, receive consists of six data, refuse consists of seven data , forgiveness consists of five data, blame consists of six data, praise consists of seventeen data. Abstract This Research study about how contradiction aspect form, ambiguitas, and nonsen in Hymn Horizon masterpiece anthology of Dasri Al Mubary. This Research use approach qualitative and descriptive method with aim to for the mendeskripsikan of aspects of deviation of meaning covering aspect of kontaradiksi, ambiguitas, and nonsense. source of data of this research that is Horizon masterpiece hymn anthology of Dasri Al Mubary. Data obtained by using data collecting technique, [is] later;then classified pursuant to contradiction aspect category, ambiguitas, and nonsense. As for aspect which implied in study expression ketidaklangsungan deviation of meaning namely contradiction, ambiguitas, and formulated nonsense become node. Pursuant to data analysis, obtained [by] aspect of kontradisi counted 7 poem data, later;then data covering aspect of ambiguitas counted 19 poem data, and data covering aspect of nonsen counted 13 poem data.Keyword : Contradiction, Ambiguitas, Nonsense, Hymn Horizon
