Abstract

Trade and tourism activities in Telaga Kumpe can increase the input of organic matter into the waters which results in increased fertility, decreased function and changes in water quality so that it has an impact on the community structure of plankton as one of the aquatic organisms. This study aims to determine the abundance, diversity, uniformity and dominance of plankton before sunrise (morning) and after sunrise (afternoon) as well as differences in the ratio of plankton abundance before sunrise and after sunrise (afternoon) in Kumpe Lake. . The research was carried out at three sampling points, namely at the inlet, in the middle of the lake and at the outlet. The main parameters measured included the number of individuals and plankton species, while the supporting parameters included physico-chemical factors in the waters, namely water temperature, light intensity, depth, pH and TDS levels. The results showed that the highest abundance of phytoplankton were Microcystis aeruginosa and Mougeotia viridis, while the highest abundance of zooplankton were Diaptomus siciloides and Cyclops vicinus. The diversity of plankton in the morning is included in the medium category, in the afternoon the low to moderate category. The uniformity of plankton in the morning and afternoon is in the low to high category. The plankton dominance index value in the morning indicates a dominant species, whereas during the afternoon it does not indicate a dominant species. The dominating species are Microcystis aeruginosa, Mougeotia viridis, Diaptomus siciloides and Cyclops vicinus. The results also show that the abundance of phytoplankton is higher during the day, and the abundance of zooplankton is higher in the morning

Abstract

Vacant land that is not utilized has the potential to become critical land which can result in landslides, floods, decreased production functions, which can have an impact on the socio-economic impact of local communities. Members of the Jembaran Forest Farmers Group, Notog Village, have the initiative to cultivate Tetragonula biroi, but most of the members do not understand the mechanisms of bee cultivation, especially the availability of flowering vegetation that produces nectar and pollen as a food source and produces resin as a building material for nests. Based on these problems, this community service activity aims to introduce types of flowering vegetation which play a role in supporting the cultivation of T. biroi which can also increase land productivity, as well as mitigate critical land. This vegetation includes Dombeya sp and Xanthostemon sp, both of which are flowering vegetation and can play a role in increasing land productivity, increasing water penetration into the soil, so as to prevent flooding. This service activity method is carried out in three stages, namely 1). Socialization and discussion about the types of flowering vegetation that support the cultivation of T. biroi, 2). Practice planting vegetation as a demonstration plot which is carried out directly, 3) monitoring and evaluation to determine the level of change in participants' mindset with indicators of increasing the amount of flowering vegetation which also acts as a means of mitigating flood disasters and decreasing soil fertility. The results of the activity showed an increase in the participants' knowledge and understanding of the material presented

Abstract

Keberadaan benih ikan Nilem (Osteochilus hasselti Valencienes, 1842) di wilayah Kabupaten Banyumas, pada tingkat petani, semakin sulit diperoleh, karena seringkali mengalami kendala dalam memelihara larvanya, terutama saat larva harus beralih dari pakan endogen ke eksogen. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan larva ikan Nilem yang diberi pakan awal berupa Infusoria. Penelitian menerapkan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap, lima perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Larva diperoleh dari hasil pemijahan induksi, dan telur ditetaskan dalam kotak inkubasi yang terkontrol. Pemeliharaan larva dilakukan selama 30 hari, dalam kotak kayu berukuran 90x60x20cm, dan dibagian dalam dilapisi terpal plastik, diisi air dengan ketinggian 15cm. Selama pemeliharaan larva tidak diberi aerasi dan ketinggian air dijaga agar konstan dengan cara menambah air baru. Masing-masing kotak diisi sebanyak 750 ekor larva. Perlakuan yang dicobakan yaitu pemberian pakan awal berupa Infusoria selama 7 hari, sebanyak 50 ml(A), 100ml(B); 150ml(C); 200ml(D) dan 250ml(E), mulai hari ke-5 setelah telur menetas. Mulai hari ke-13 sampai dengan ke-30, pada masing-masing perlakuan diberikan tambahan Infusoria sebanyak 50ml dan tepung pellet sebanyak 30mg. Pakan diberikan sehari sekali, pada pagi hari, antara jam 09.00-10.00. Data yang diamati adalah pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, panjang relatif, dan kelulushidupan, yang diuji dengan analysis of variance (ANOVA) selang kepercayaan 95%. Hasilnya menunjukkan, perlakuan E memberikan hasil yang terbaik, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketersediaan Infusoria dalam jumlah yang lebih banyak dari kebutuhan pakan awal larva Nilem, memberikan dampak positif terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupannya.

Abstract

Indetifikasi jenis tanaman sebagai sumber pakan serangga penyerbuk dilakukan dengan memeriksa dan mengamati ketersediaan nektar serta polen pada tanaman berbunga yang terdapat di pekarangan rumah warga Desa Dawuhan Kulon Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei dan data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pekarangan warga Desa Dawuhan Kulon Kabupaten Banyumas, yang berada pada ketinggian >500 – 1000 dpl, terdapat 40 jenis tanaman berbunga, yang termasuk kedalam Famili Annonaceae, Hydrangeaceae, Turneraceae, Asteraceae, Malvaceae, Acanthaceae, Amaranthaceae, Lamiaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Portulacaceae, Apocynaceae, Linderniaceae, Orchidaceae, Rosaceae, Nyctaginaceae, Heliconiaceae, Cannaceae, Iridaceae, Rubiaceae, Gesneriaceae, Commelinaceae, Acanthaceae, Oxalidaceae, Campanulaceae, Fabaceae, Verbenaceae, dan Balsaminaceae. Jenis tanaman berbunga yang teridentifikasi sangat bervariasi, yang mengindikasikan bahwa wilayah tersebut berpotensi untuk dikembangkan peternakan lebah madu serta penangkaran kupu-kupu, sebagai pendukung terwujudnya desa eduwisata.
