Abstract

In the business world, technology owned by a company is an infrastructure that is very important in supporting the company's efforts to increase profits. The current global business trend is encouraging company managers to move away from the trend of building their own technology needed to become a trend to get technology through collaboration with other companies because it can reduce expensive research costs, stimulate the innovation process to be able to fulfill requests that will ultimately improve the performance produced. his study proposes a model that can be used to analyze the contribution of external technology acquisition to company performance External technology acquisition contributes positively to company performance, and this contribution is strengthened by the moderator effect of internal R & D effort. Investment in internal R & D effort does not only stimulate the occurrence of innovation processes that will be needed to produce good performance but also strengthen the company's absorptive capacity. Absorptive capacity is needed to strengthen the company's ability to learn the latest knowledge and technology

Abstract

The roles of human as workers are still dominant in conducting production process, especially that related to manual activities. One of the humans rote is in the procss of displacing  materials. These activities potentially raise various camplaints such as muscle pain and could cause accident at work. Pabrik Roti Cimpago Whit Bread still conduct MMH (Manual Materials Handling) activites in producing bread. These make  the workers get low back pain. Theis research seeks to identify and evaluate inappropriate body posture at work and recommend safe body posture for the workers by using OWAS (Ovako Working Posture Analysis System). Analysis syetem through which 7 working posture were corrected of the 7, 4 posture were classified into category 2 suggerting that they were dangerous for musculoskeletal sytem and 3 postures were classified into category 3 indicating that they were unsafe for musculoskeletal and needed immediate repair. Keywords: work posture, OWAS, improvement work posture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the average productive percent of operators so that they can determine the standard time required for operators to carry out their work at PT. Asia Forestama Raya Composer station, and to find out the amount of manpower needed at this station.  The method used in this study is the Work Sampling Method, this method is a work technique to conduct a large number of observations on the work activities of machines, processes and workers or operators. The sample used in this study were workers or operators at the Composer work station. Composer work station is a work station consisting of 12 Cast Builder machines with each machine consisting of 5 operators, the work of this station is to connect plywood sheets according to standard sizes. Based on the results of data processing that has been carried out in this study, it can be concluded that the average working productive percent of all operators is 94.087%. The standard time required for the work process on the Cor Builder machine is 11.3 minutes/m3, and the amount of labor required at the Composer work station initially amounted to 5 people (with details of 2 people as Cor Builder machine operators, 2 people as repair as well as inspection, and 1 person as waste disposal), to 7 people (with details of 2 people as Cor Builder machine operators, 4 people as repair and inspection, and 1 person as waste disposal.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the world's largest suppliers of palm oil needs. Increasing the area of oil palm plantations followed by CPO production does not always have a positive impact, especially related to waste. Palm Oil Empty Bunches (EFB) is one of the largest wastes generated from the palm oil processing industry, where the amount reaches 21-23% of fresh fruit bunches. So far, the use of empty oil palm bunch waste is very limited, namely landfilled (open dumping) and burned. One of the uses of waste from TKKS is as fertilizer The initial stage to be able to make EFB compost is by enumerating EFB to accelerate decomposition. So that shredding technology is needed in the process of making EFB compost. Most of the Palm Oil Industry has used large capacity shredding machines. However, for small farmers to have machines with these standards cannot be done so the purpose of this study is to design a small-scale EFB counter. The speed for the enumeration process with 300 Rpm takes 6.3 minutes, and 500 Rpm with a time of 5.3 minutes.

Abstract

Quail farming business is one of the potential businesses as the population increases and public awareness of the need for daily animal protein sources that are easy to get at affordable prices compared to other poultry meat. The objectives of this study are to find out the feasibility of Mr. Agung Wibowo's quail farming business in Kerumutan District based on market and marketing aspects, technical aspects, environmental aspects and financial aspects. Data collection is carried out by means of field surveys, interviews, literature studies and documentation. The result of this research is that the quail farming business owned by Mr. Agung Wibowo in Kerumutan District is worthy of continuing. Based on market and marketing aspects, it is feasible because it has segmentation, clear targeting and market position, and a selling price that is quite competitive compared to other poultry meat prices and has a marketing strategy with a marketing mix. From the technical aspect, it is feasible because it has all the necessary facilities and equipment and have a clear production cycle and business location. From the environmental aspect, it is feasible because of the environmental impact management. Based on the results of the calculation, the financial aspect is declared feasible. Where the R/C Ratio value > out of 1, which is 1.5. The value of the π/C Ratio is 0.57% higher than the value of the BRI Simpedes savings interest rate of 0.25%. Production BEP Value < Production Amount and BEP Value Price < Selling Price per Head. From the results of the calculation of the Production BEP Value is 3,312 heads. So 3,312 Heads < 5,162 Heads and the result of calculating the BEP Price Value is Rp. 3,011. Then Rp. 3,011 < Rp. 5,500.

Abstract

Maintenance system is an activity conducted to ensure that machines or equipment are always ready to use. PT. RAPP uses a filler machine in the nursery area to fill cocopeat media into trays. The filler machine works optimally at a capacity of 600 kg (multiplied by two cycles) to fill 180 trays per day. When experiencing damage, this filler machine can only be used at a capacity of 300 kg (multiplied by four cycles) to fill 150-165 trays per day. To reduce machine downtime when there is damage, the implementation of machine maintenance management is needed. OEE is a method used to calculate machine effectiveness based on availability, performance, and quality. Using data from May 2022 to April 2023, the average OEE value obtained is 60.66%, indicating that the filler machine performance is below the standard of 85%. The calculation of the Six Big Losses shows that the values affecting machine performance are breakdown losses with a time loss of 22,825 minutes, rework losses with a time loss of 15.8 minutes, and setup and adjustment with a time loss of 41.8 minutes, indicating that the largest factor and the main cause affecting the OEE value of the filler machine is breakdown losses, which reduces the production rate.

Abstract

The thin layer model describes the drying process uniformly, regardless of the control mechanism. Fundamentally, using experimental data on dried materials can be explained by the method used. The purpose of this research is to determine the characteristics of the pineapple drying process using a thin layer model. Drying using the oven method at 60°C. The thin layer drying model uses Newton, logarithmic, and Midilli models. The statistical parameters used are R2 and SSE. The water content obtained did not differ much between the two varieties, namely 13, 27, and 13.14 (% db). The results of the comparison of the three models used lead to different results with R² values of 0.89–0.96 and SSE 0.0095–0.0013 based on the non-linear regression analysis used. The Midilli model shows the best results with R² parameters of 0.06 and 0.94 and SSE of 0.0019 and 0.0025..
