Abstract

STIE Muhammadiyah Asahan is a private university under the supervision of Regional 1 Education Service Institution (LL Dikti Wilayah 1). This study aims to determine the Optimization of Student Loyalty through Rewards and Students’ Satisfaction as Intervening Variables. The research approach used in this research is quantitative. Data obtained by distributing questionnaires with a Likert scale. The questionnaire is arranged based on indicators of reward, satisfaction and loyalty. The target population in this study are 71 students for the 2017-2018 academic year. The sampling technique uses saturated samples. So that 71 respondents are selected to be the sample. Data analysis uses path analysis to determine the direct and indirect effect of the reward variable on student loyalty through student satisfaction. The results of the research that can be drawn 1) Rewards have a significant effect on student satisfaction at STIE Muhammadiyah Asahan. 2) Reward has no effect on student loyalty at STIE Muhammadiyah Asahan. 3) Student satisfaction has a significant effect on student loyalty at STIE Muhammadiyah Asahan.. 4) Reward has a significant effect on student loyalty through student satisfaction at STIE Muhammadiyah Asahan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTImmunostimulatory agent has an important role in the treatment of infectious disease caused by pathogen. Roselle calyx (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) used by community as a health drink to enhance body’s immune system. The aims of this research was to know immunostimulatory activity of ethyl acetate fraction of ethanolic extract of roselle calyx on lymphocyte cell proliferation swiss strain mice and to identified the chemical compounds of the fraction. Roselle calyx was extracted by maceration method using ethanol 96% as a solvent. The ethanolic extract was partitioned gradually by n-hexan and ethyl acetate. Series of ethyl acetate fraction were made to concentration 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 400 μg/mL and positive control PHA 10 μg/mL for tested to lymphocyte cell culture. Immunostimulatory activity test was done according to MTT Assay method. Lymphocyte proliferation activity was analyzed statistically to the value of Optical Density (OD) result of the Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) reader using Kruskal Wallis Test continued by Mann Whitney Test (p<0,05). Identification of the contents phenolic compounds and flavonoids performed by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). The result of the research showed that ethyl acetate fraction had lymphocyte cell proliferation activity at the concentration of 50, 100, 200, and 400 μg/mL. The ethyl acetate fraction of roselle calyx contained phenolic compounds and flavonoids. Key words : roselle calyx, ethyl acetate fraction, MTT Assay, immunostimulatory

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca merupakan salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang mendasar. Dengan membaca siswa akan menerapkan kemampuan lainnya yaitu berbicara serta siswa yang tidak mampu membaca akan sulit untuk memenuhi kemampuannya dalam menulis dan memahami pelajaran dalam bentuk tulisan. Kemampuan membaca siswa kelas VI termasuk kedalam tahap membaca untuk mencari hal-hal yang baru dan unik, penelitian kali ini akan membahas mengenai “Kemampuan Membaca Siswa Kelas VI A di SD Negeri Mannuruki”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa fasih kemampuan membaca siswa kelas VI A apakah termasuk kedalam kategori kemampuan membaca tinggi, sedang atau rendah, mengingat kelas VI sendiri merupakan kelas tinggi yang tahap membacanya memasuki tahapan membaca lanjut yang idealnya telah memiliki kemampuan membaca yang mumpuni dalam jenjang Sekolah Dasar (SD) berbeda dengan kelas rendah yang memasuki tahapan membaca permulaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dan jenis pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, tes dan wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VI A memiliki kemampuan membaca dalam kategori rendah. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh kemalasan atau rendahnya antusias membaca siswa secara mandiri. Kekurangan yang ditemui saat membaca yaitu beberapa diantara siswa yang masih terbata-bata dan kekeliruan dalam melafalkan huruf dalam kalimat bahkan masih ada yang sampai belajar mengeja huruf.
