Abstract

Islamic education is currently experiencing a decline in terms of Islamic values which causes setbacks. Educational observers analyze several reasons for the decline, including the material of life that does not refer to its main source, the occurrence of social and cultural crises, the loss of good examples, the right faith, and Islamic values. This problem requires the right solution in order to immediately get a solution so that the Islamic education process is able to run as expected. For this reason, it is necessary to refer to the Qur'an as a solution to the personality characteristics of educators. In this study, the researcher chose Surah Al-A‟la as the Surah of choice to examine the personality characteristics of the educators contained in it. This type of research is library research, which is a document study whose data sources come from written materials whose discussion is related to the character of educators. Researchers found the relevance of the character of educators to Islamic education, namely aqidah is the basic foundation that humans must have. This foundation must be firmly planted and realized in the form of habituation in order to form a character that is uswatun hasanah, namely noble character that can be imitated and followed by students and those around them. Then the relationship between educators as innovators, mentors, motivators and advisors is a form of attitude that is needed and must exist in educators so that the goals of Islamic education are successful.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze: 1) the GETBA program in high schools in Simpang Kiri District, 2) the implementation of GETBA in high schools in Simpang Kiri District, 3) the evaluation system for GETBA in high schools in Simpang Kiri District,4) supporting and inhibiting factors in implementation of GETBA) in high schools throughout Simpang Kiri District. The type of research used is qualitative research. This research was located at 2 (two) high schools in Simpang Kiri District, Subulussalam City, Aceh Province, namely SMAN 1 Simpang Kiri and SMAN 1 Subulussalam. The results of the research show that: The GETBA program or Movement to Completely Read the Al-Qur'an is a program in the PAI field of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Aceh Province, including Simpang Kiri sub-district, Subulussalam City. This program will be launched at the end of 2022. The supporting factors are that students are easy to direct, parents of students provide financial support, enthusiastic teachers, and the presence of students' strong will/intention in reading the Koran. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the existence of students who have just started reading the Koran, the feeling of shame and laziness among students and the existence of students who do not yet know Arabic or Hijaiyah.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the condition of youth religious education in the village of Lipat Kajang Atas, Kec. Simpang Kanan Kab. Aceh Singkil. To identify community concerns regarding youth religious education in Lipat Kajang Atas Village, Simpang Kanan District, Aceh Singkil District. The approach used in this research is a qualitative naturalistic approach, namely collecting and analyzing data that is qualitative in nature and the research is carried out in natural conditions (natural setting). This research is related to social interaction regarding community concern for adolescent religious education. The result of this research is to provide religious guidance to teenagers in the vicinity through religious activities such as routine recitation, participating in dhikr khairat activities, and persulukan. As for other things, the results of this study provide guidance and role models for children and adolescents always to maintain a polite attitude and introduce positive culture to them.

Abstract

The research problem in this study is that there are only a few schools under the auspices of the Al-Washliyah organization, and there are almost no public schools in North Sumatra that integrate Al-Washliyah values into the learning process. However, Al-Washliyah values are highly aligned with the national education goals of developing an intelligent, characterful, morally upright, and independent society. This is because teachers do not yet have the appropriate strategies and learning models to integrate these values. Therefore, this research aims to develop a VCT (Values-Centered Teaching) learning model based on the ideas of Al-Washliyah figures. The research follows a research and development (R&D) approach. The research design follows the 4D model by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel. The research subjects consist of 135 Madrasah Aliyah students. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, open questionnaires, expert validation sheets, and practicality assessment sheets for the model. The collected data is then analyzed using SPSS version 25.0. The results of the study show that the developed model has high validity and reliability. Therefore, the developed model can be used as a learning model to integrate the values of Al-Washliyah figures into the learning process.

Abstract

Islam has the ability to adapt to various existing places and situations without being contaminated. Mosques are an important component in classical Islamic education. On the other hand, Kuttab is a pre-Islamic educational institution which is a form of adaptation and modification of Muslims to the old heritage. Then Kuttab experienced significant development as a respectable and dignified educational institution. The universality of Islam is also demonstrated through non-Muslim kuttab teachers, without questioning Islam which is an important part of the kuttab institution. The purpose of this article is to describe the existence of mosques as the original form of early Islamic educational institutions which were the forerunners of the emergence of Kuttab and madrasa educational institutions. By answering the various questions above through in-depth analysis and interpretation, it is hoped that this article can become a reference for finding out significant changes to education in mosques, kuttabs and madrasas. This article uses a type of qualitative research with a study approach (library research). The analysis used is by using the Miles & Huberman interaction model. What this article produces is the historical development of Islamic education, social changes in education in mosques which gave rise to kuttab institutions and madrasah institutions.

Abstract

Islamic civilization had record as a gold in the trajectory of the world history due to the development of science and technology. The enthusiasm and motivation for knowledge from the Qur’an and Hadits as a source of inspiration for Moslems made the spirit driving the rise of Islamic civilization at that time, marked by the development of science and technology. In its development, of course the emergence of science and technology in the Islamic world cannot be separated from the science and technology institutions that make the biggest contribution. This paper tries to describe several educational institutions such as hospital libraries and observatories as institutions that contribute to the development of science and technology at that time. The existence of a library is not only a place to read its name as well as to study research and also to discuss science and technology as well as the existence of a hospital not only as a place for birds but also to be a place for medical science practice and no less important is the existence of an observatory for conducting research.
