The study focused on the men's volleyball team at SMA Negeri 1 Dampal Selatan. Materials and methods. This is an experimental research that follows the Two-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The volleyball smash test was used as the instrument for this research. The research was conducted on 12 members of the Men's Volleyball Team at SMA Negeri 1 Dampal Selatan. The data analysis technique used for this research was the t-test. Results. According to the t-test results for the Up and Down Stairs exercise, it is evident that the t count (6.318) is greater than the t -able (1.795). Similarly, for the Squat Jump exercise, the t-test results indicate that the t-count (5.085) is greater than the t-table (1.795). The percentage results show that the improvement in Smash ability was 13.76% with climbing and descending stairs training and 14.31% with Squat Jump training. Conclusion. After analyzing the percentage increase, the results suggest that Squat Jump training is a more effective method for enhancing Smash results in the volleyball game for the men's team at SMA Negeri 1 Dampal Selatan. This implies that incorporating Squat Jump training into the team's regular training routine may lead to better Smash outcomes during the game.

Abstract

Long legs on one side or called Leg Weight Discrepancy (LLD) is a condition where there is a difference in the length of the lower extremities (legs) from one another. LLD can occur in athletes caused by intrinsic and extrinsic factors. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of LLD and the factors that cause injuries to Central Sulawesi sepak takraw athletes. This study employs a descriptive methodology and a quantitative research design. The research subjects were 24 athletes. Results that will be generated in the form of scholarly articles published in National Journals with accreditation / National Proceedings. They orient the target of this research towards Athletes. Objectives. To enhance the speed of service training through pacing on the sepak takraw service skills of physical education students at Tadulako University, Palu. Materials and Methods. The study involved a total of 8 athletes occupying the roles of servicer or tekong, thus the sample for this research was derived from the complete population of these 8 athletes. Therefore, the sampling technique employs total sampling. The method of data collection involves administering a test, specifically a sepak takraw service speed test. The equipment utilized for the experiment includes a sepak takraw field, a sepak takraw ball, and a stopwatch. The procedure involves measuring the duration from the moment the ball is struck until it makes contact with the floor of the sepak takraw court. Following the pre-test, the sample underwent a service speed training intervention utilizing a pacing pad over the course of 16 sessions. After that, the sample was given a posttest with the same procedure as the initial test or pre-test. Once all the data had been gathered, the next step involved employing the data analysis technique. Results. The data analysis revealed that the investigation into the impact of service speed training utilizing pacing pads on the service speed of sepak takraw athletes at Tadulako University, Palu, yielded significant findings. Conclusion. This study demonstrates that the training method utilizing pacing pads can markedly enhance service speed in sepak takraw. It is advisable to conduct additional studies to investigate the effectiveness of varying training durations, the different applications of pacing pads, and to compare this method with alternative training strategies to enhance athlete performance.
