Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of video animations on the earth's layer material for students in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic on student learning outcomes in science subjects. The subjects in this study were class VII B from SMPN 33 Surabaya and involved 38 students in the Even Semester in the 2020/2021 School Year. This research used the one group pretest-posttest design. This research used descriptive analysis and different tests. The results of this research indicated that the animation video of the earth's layer effectively improved science learning outcomes for class VII B students of SMPN 33 Surabaya. This can be seen through the results of the pretest and posttest which showed an increase in the average value of student learning outcomes and the different tests which showed that there was a difference between before and after the use of animated videos of the earth's layers.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan berkomunikasi guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa SMP Negeri 1 Dawarblandong kelas VIII. Faktor keterampilan berkomunikasi guru dan motivasi belajar siswa yang diteliti merujuk pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dinilai sesuai dengan karakteristik materi sistem pernapasan manusia dengan mempertimbangkan aspek peran keterampilan berkomunikasi guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan metode observasi dan pengisian angket. Pengisian angket dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan angket kepada siswa yang menjadi kelas contoh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 1 Dawarblandong kelas VIII. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 32 siswa di kelas VIII-1. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket keterampilan berkomunikasi guru berjumlah 11 butir pertanyaan, angket motivasi belajar siswa berjumlah 11 butir pertanyaan, dan lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data pada keterampilan berkomunikasi guru dan motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan nilai mean, pada keterlaksanaan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw menggunakan nilai modus dengan nilai terendah 3, dan pada pengaruh keterampilan berkomunikasi guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan korelasi product moment . Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 1 dawarblandong tinggi, keterampilan berkomunikasi guru IPA SMP Negeri 1 Dawarblandong baik, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terlaksana pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini guna menunjang pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP. Pembelajaran tidak hanya menekankan pada proses pembelajaran yang bersifat teacher center tetapi perlu melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam memperoleh pemahamannya (student center) melalui keterampilan proses siswa. Adapun aspek KPS yang diteliti yaitu merumuskan masalah, membuat hipotesis, menentukan variabel, interpretasi data, dan membuat kesimpulan. Desain penelitian ini one group pretest posttest design dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 31 siswa SMP Negeri 18 Surabaya. Peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa ditunjukkan dengan hasil paired T-test (a=0,05) diperoleh sig. 0,000 < 0,05 maka ditolak menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara pretest dan posttest. Rata-rata respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran ini yaitu sebesar 90% dengan dominan persentase respon siswa memberi respon positif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu penerapan guided inquiry learning dengan media PhET dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP.

Abstract

The implementation of STEAM-PjBL integration trains students to work together to build their own knowledge, construct ideas, critical thinking in analyzing problems, then try to solve them through a project. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of STEAM-PjBL integration to train the critical thinking skills of prospective science teachers through entrepreneurship courses. This research is a descriptive study with a one short case study design. The research subjects were students of Science Education Class of 2021. The instruments used were tests of critical thinking skills and questionnaires on student responses to learning. Test result were analyzed using N-gain and paired t test, the response questionnaire was analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills test scores, and positive responses with an average of >83.6%. Based on this, it can be concluded that STEAM-PjBL integration is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

ABSTRAKIndeks kualitas air di dunia telah mengalami penurunan.. Sumber air yang terkontaminasi harus dikelola untuk mencegah banyaknya kerusakan di bumi. Salah satu tujuan global dalam SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) adalah air bersih dan sanitasi (Clean water and sanitation). Nasturtium officinale atau yang juga dikenal dengan nama selada air adalah salah satu tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk bioremidiasi, khususnya dalam membersihkan air yang terkontaminasi oleh logam berat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan temuan terdahulu tentang efektivitas tanaman selada air, kelebihan dan kekurangan tanaman selada air dan mekanisme selada air dalam bekerja secara optimal. Jenis penelitian ini dengan menggunakan metode systematic review human . Literatur dipilih berdasarkan tiga kriteria: relevan dengan konteks, jurnal dalam 5 tahun terakhir, dan dapat diakses oleh umum. Setelah proses seleksi, 4 artikel dipilih untuk direview. Dalam artikel-artikel ini, selada air terbukti krusial dalam memproses air terdegradasi lewat Rhizofiltration. Kinerjanya dalam mengakumulasi logam berat sangat potensial untuk meningkatkan ekorestorasi perairan.Kata kunci: Selada Air, Rhizofiltration technology, Ekorestorasi Perairan ABSTRACTThe water quality index in the world has decreased. Contaminated water sources must be managed to prevent much damage to the earth. One of the global goals in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) is clean water and sanitation. Nasturtium officinale or also known as watercress is one of the plants that can be used for bioremidiation, especially in cleaning water contaminated by heavy metals. This study aims to explain previous findings about the effectiveness of watercress plants, advantages and disadvantages of watercress plants and the mechanism of watercress in working optimally. This type of research uses the method of systematic human review. Literature is selected based on three criteria: context-relevant, journals within the last 5 years, and publicly accessible. After the selection process, 4 articles were selected for review. In these articles, watercress proved crucial in processing degraded water through rhizofiltration. Its performance in accumulating heavy metals has the potential to improve aquatic ecorestoration.Keywords: Nasturtium officanale, Rhizofiltration technology, Aquatic Ecorestoration

Abstract

Student’s critical thinking skills in higher education level should be enhanced using diverse methods, one of which by developing learning media as assistance in conceiving the skills. This study was undertaken to determine the validity of the H5P learning media using ALLR (Activity Based-Lesson Learn-Reflection) model that could be embedded in a Moodle-based learning management system for Basic Science course to reinforce the pre-service science teachers’ critical thinking skills. This study used research and development (R&D) design using 4D development model. The developed learning media was an interactive learning media for Basic Science course that contained the ALLR learning model developed using the H5P platform embedded in Moodle-based SIDIA UNESA learning management system. The media was given to three experts whose expertise were science learning and learning media development. The validation was based on assessment criteria which included content, presentation, and language aspects. The results showd that all the assessment criteria for the learning media developed were declared very valid, except for interactivity sub-criteria which was valid. It can be concluded that H5P-based interactive media in LM with ALLR Learning Model is suitable for improving the critical thinking skills of pre-service science teachers in the Basic Science Course.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Spiritual Practice-Based Learning Approach to Metaphysics Meditation "He Ning Cipto" in the Cell-Level Life course to build the student's immune system during the covid-19 pandemic. This study involved three classes of 2018 class students with a total of 90 people. This quasi-experimental research uses a "one shot case study" as a research design where there is only a treatment class without control.   Data collection methods in this study include observation, tests and surveys in order to obtain data on the implementation of learning, mastery of concepts, meditation skills, and mental health. The results showed that the implementation of the learning carried out had fulfilled the syntax and obtained the dominant learning management assessment score mode of 4 from the total existing meetings. The learning outcomes test from 3 classes with 4 study topics (Cell Structure and Function, Cell Health Concepts, Body Immune System, Cipto Silent Meditation) in 7 meetings showed that students' mastery of concepts could be achieved maximally both individually and classically with a percentage of completeness of 95, 56%. Based on rewriting data and diaries, Cipto's Silent Meditation skills can be practiced well according to the recommended instructions and procedures. Students' rewriting scores ranged from 78 to 100, while for student diaries they received a minimum score of 80 and a maximum of 100. The questionnaire responses given showed high Mental Attitude Health (KSM) results of 96%, High Cell/Body Health (KST) of 86% and the Happiness Scale Index is in the high category (above 34, 4) with A level between 46-50 at 29%, Level B between 40-45 at 66% and C between 34-39 at 6%. Overall, it can be concluded that this research has helped students in learning and gaining an understanding of the concept of cell health and the immune system, as well as developing silent meditation skills, to build a strong immune system for students and actors in achieving a level of mental health and mental attitude. good dohir cells/body, and pure soul happiness is born as a result of a sense of faith, and evidence of obedience and gratitude to Allah SWT for all His blessings, then the practice of meditation has an impact as a form of self-protection from various kinds of diseases including the Covid-19 virus.
