Abstract

Additional concern about warming of the global environment through the greenhouse effect has necessitated selection of compounds with shorter atmospheric lifetimes and higher energy efficiencies as substitute refligerants for Heating, Air Conditioning, and refrigerating equipment.Several substitute compounds of the hidrocarbon were identified by similarities in normal boiling points and corresponding saturated vapor pressure characteristics. Sample quantities were obtained from ITB (Two sample corresponds with CFCIZ named Hycool HCRI2 and Hycool HCR12+LFS). Performance comparisons among these refrigerants are performed utilizing Air Conditioning System test facility in Laboratory for Thermodynamics, Engines and Propulsion System (LIMP "“ BPP Teknologi). The results show that these alternatives refrigerants exhibit better performance than CFC I 2 at the predetermined operating conditions.

Abstract

In the current era of IT advancement, innovation in the field of learning needs to be done. Besides improving the quality of learning, the use of IT in education can increase student interest in the subjects. This research is the analysis stage of developing Geography e-learning for Senior High School in Sragen Regency using ADDIE model. Data collection was done by interview using questionnaires toward 20 teachers and 416 students in 11 public and private Senior High Schools in Sragen Regency. The results of the analysis of geography teachers respons indicate that most of the geography teachers in Sragen regency were well-informed and had utilized IT in classroom learning, adding learning resources from the internet and other sources, willing to teach using e-learning, expecting e-learning material equipped with maps, imagery, video and animation which was developed. From the analysis of the students respons, students argued that most of the geography teachers in Sragen Regency had utilized the learning resources and learning media from the internet and use varied learning models. Nevertheless, there are 36% who think that geography lesson was boring and most students agreed to use e-learning for geography lesson. The main obstacle in e-learning lesson in Sragen regency was the availability of computer facilities and internet network, especially in private schools. Keywords: e-learning, readiness, geography, Senior High School

Abstract

This research aims to 1) Improve the ability to write scientific papers for teachers of Geography in Boyolali district and Sragen; 2) Improving the understanding of teachers in the publishing of scientific papers in journals and popular science magazines. This research uses the questionnaire method described in deskripstif qualitatively. The teachers gathered in a workshop related scientific papers followed by filling the questionnaire. This method is deliberately done to facilitate the coordination of collecting data from informants. Data retrieval is packaged in the form of activities that preceded the workshop is considered effective to gather teachers, which in this study as an informant. To deepen the data generated from the questionnaire, research activities continued in the form of coaching and mentoring teachers to write scientific papers by submitting scientific papers to the editors of scientific journals. Results of research in the form of training and mentoring the writing of scientific papers proven to optimize the climate and teacher motivation in writing scientific articles and research results in the form of ideas. Articles are arranged expected to be published in national scientific journals ISSN. Besides the training and mentoring is very helpful teachers to obtain credit in the number of scientific publications. Writing scientific articles become an important and integral part in efforts to improve teacher quality through continuous professional development. Teachers spearhead educational success, but on the other hand teachers must constantly develop oneself to work. Budget allowance teacher certification it should be used for the development of self toward the professionalism of teachers. Keywords : scientific article, mentoring, teacher of geography

Abstract

On the one hand, the coastal area promises abundant natural resources, but on the other hand, there are potential threats of disaster for the people living in that area. Coastal erosion or abrasion is a threat/danger that harmful to communities in coastal areas in Indonesia. One of the areas affected by abrasion in Indonesia is Rembang Regency. This study attempted to analyze the physical and social impacts of abrasion in the Rembang Regency. This study was conducted qualitatively by utilizing Ikonos High-Resolution Satellite Imagery, field surveys, and interviews as the basis for the analysis of the impact of the abrasion disaster. Respondents in this study were communities and government officials in areas affected by abrasion which were determined by purposive sampling technique. The results of the data analysis show that the physical impacts of abrasion are classified into four categories, namely heavy damage, moderate damage, minor damage, and no damage, while the social impacts are in the form of psychological, sociological, and economic disturbances which have implications for decreasing welfare. Therefore, an in-depth analysis is needed to determine the abrasion disaster management policy in Rembang Regency.

Abstract

Dayu Village which located in Gondangrejo Subdistrict, Karangnyar Regency has the potential disaster multi risks. Therefore, necessary to increase the capacity of Dayu Village community in facing disaster multi risks as anticipatory effort to minimize the impact of losses disasters in the future. The research used quantitative descriptive method with scoring and overlay analysis techniques, while for increasing community capacity through socialization related to the physical conditions of the area, FGD, participatory mapping, training and making evacuation routes. Based on the analysis results, it is known that Dayu Village has high level of disaster multi-risk. The results of FGD and participatory mapping showed that there were 6 points landslide and 1 point flood in Dusun Dayu  and 4 landslide points and 2 flood points in Dusun Tanjung. These location points used as reference in determining the location of the gathering point along with the evacuation route to that gathering point.

Abstract

One of the biggest problems during drilling operation is a stuck pipe in which the drill string would stick or freeze in the well. This challenge leads to a significant amount of remedial costs and time. Many researchers have investigated different factors regarding the stuck pipe. These factors include poor hole cleaning, improper mud design, key seating, balling up of bit, accumulation of cutting and caving, poor bottom hole assembly configuration, and differential pressure. Since geothermal drilling targets lost circulation zones at reservoir depth, the chance of getting stuck pipe events becomes higher. Many publications reported that lost circulation events that lead to stuck pipe events have become the top non-productive time (NPT) contributor to costs in many geothermal drilling projects. The consequences of a stuck pipe are very costly, that include lost time when releasing the pipe, time, and cost of fishing out the parted Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA), and efforts to abandon the tool(s) in the hole. Despite many observations that have been done to develop a system in avoiding stuck pipe incidents in oil and gas drilling operations using artificial intelligence (AI), few works have been developed for geothermal drilling operations. In this research, we propose a method to build an early warning system model for stuck pipe conditions based on a Support Vector Machine. Based on the experiment result Support Vector Machine Algorithm showed good performance with 89% accuracy and 81% recall for limited training dataset.

Abstract

Implementation of strategic management at the mother and children health services in Malang Regency is done through Sutera Emas and Emas Program. Both programs is grand strategy of Malang Regency to increase the societal health level measured from the AKI and AKB indicators. For that, the research aimed at describing and analyzing the implementation of Sutera Emas and Emas Program based on strategic management perspective, and identifying the obstacles occurred and producing alternative strategy for acceleration in decrease the AKI and AKB. So the used research method is qualitative by using descriptive analysis and foresight Approaches and Methods. The results showed that the implementation of Sutera Emas and Emas Programs are societal based program that use information technology to decrease AKI and AKB in Malang Regency. But the implementation of both program unable to be implemented wholly in Malang Regency. Because of that, it need alternative strategy for AKI and AKB decrease acceleration based on need assessment. The alternative strategy then be simulated based on three regions based on the criteria of standby village strata and the affordability of health service, either from the health service worker or health facilities.
