Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP Kusuma Negara bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa menggunakan e-modul berbasis proyek. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Action Research dengan subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah sistem evaluasi pembelajaran matematika. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan observasi dan tugas proyek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa meningkat. Peningkatan dapat diketahui dari perbandingan skor aktivitas belajar pada mahasiswa siklus I dan siklus II. Pada tahap tindakan siklus I, Sebanyak 64% mahasiswa tergolong sangat aktif, 36% mahasiswa tergolong aktif, pada tindakan siklus II Sebanyak 73% mahasiswa tergolong sangat aktif, 27% mahasiswa tergolong aktif. Peningkatan penilaian hasil belajar dapat diketahui dari perbandingan skor hasil belajar pada siklus I dan siklus II. Pada tahap tindakan siklus I, sebanyak 55% mahasiswa tergolong sangat tuntas, sebanyak 41% mahasiswa tergolong tuntas, dan sebanyak 4% mahasiswa tergolong tidak tuntas. Pada tahap tindakan siklus II, sebanyak 64% mahasiswa tergolong sangat tuntas, sebanyak 36% mahasiswa tergolong tuntas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model Learning Cycle dalam pembelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 8 Halmahera Selatan semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan satuan eksperimen adalah kelas X sebanyak 28 orang siswa yang terdiri dari 11 orang laki-laki dan 17 orang perempuan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan desain The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah dengan cara Multistage Sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan angket respons siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Analisis hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) skor rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa sebelum diterapkan model Learning Cycle adalah 23,75 dan berada pada kategori sangat rendah dengan standar deviasi 8,204., sedangkan skor rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diterapkan model Learning Cycle adalah 77,21 dengan standar deviasi 9,359 dimana skor terendah adalah 54 dan skor tertinggi adalah 92. Dari hasil tersebut diperoleh bahwa 25 siswa atau 89,29% mencapai ketuntasan individu dan 3 siswa atau 10,71% tidak mencapai ketuntasan individu. Ini berarti ketuntasan secara klasikal tercapai dengan nilai gain ternormalisasi yaitu 0,70 berada pada kategori tinggi. (3) aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori baik. (4) angket respons siswa menunjukkan bahwa respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran melalui model Learning Cycle positif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Learning Cycle efektif dalam pembelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 8 Halmaera Selatan.

Abstract

Proportional reasoning involves an understanding of the relationship of the overall multiplicative partitions between ratios and proportions. However, the problem that is often faced by students in proportional reasoning is that students tend to use additive strategies which can cause students to get incorrect answers. This study aims to analyze and describe students' proportional reasoning in solving the missing value problem based on the multiplicative concept. The research design used a qualitative approach with exploratory descriptive type. The research subjects were 3 students of grade VII. Research subjects were selected based on their oral and written communication skills and the considerations of mathematics teachers. Collecting data using the missing value problem solving test and interview guidelines. Data analysis based on the results of student work and the results of interviews directed to determine the research focus in the form of characteristics and indicators of proportional reasoning. The results of the study found three categories of students' proportional reasoning in solving the missing value problem, namely the "additive" category, students observing objects using the sum concept. The multiplicative category of the "within ratio" type, students observe objects using the multiplicative concept between elements in the same ratio. Multiplicative category of type "between ratios", students observe objects using the concept of multiplication between elements in different ratios.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether or not mathematical literacy skills influence students' problem-solving abilities. The research method used is quantitative research with a regression approach. The subjects were 64 class XI students, who were selected using cluster random sampling from a population of 133 students. Data was obtained using the Mathematical Literacy Ability Questionnaire and Mathematical Problem Solving Ability Test Instrument. Data were analyzed using appropriate test statistics, namely the Chi-Square and Simple Linearity Test as prerequisite tests. Hypothesis testing is carried out in stages: (1) Pearson's Product Moment Correlation analysis, (2) Correlation Significance Test, and (3) Coefficient of Determination Test. After the data analysis, it was concluded that mathematical literacy abilities (X) positively influenced mathematical problem-solving skills (Y). This is proven by the calculation results of Sig.=0.000 < Sig.α =0.05 and the coefficient of determination value of 0.906. This means that mathematical literacy skills strongly influence mathematical problem-solving abilities, and the effect is 90.6%. The regression equation Y = -53.813 + 0.8189X shows that for every additional unit of variable X, the Y value or students' mathematical problem-solving ability increases by 0.8189.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi Guru pada materi persamaan lingkaran adalah belum adanya bahan ajar yang dapat menfasilitasi peserta didik dalam kegiatan-kegiatan terstruktur seperti Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik (LKPD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-LKPD persamaan lingkaran berbasis Guided Discovery Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Kami menggunakan instrumen lembar validasi, respon peserta didik, observasi, wawancara, dan pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa: (1) produk e-LKPD untuk materi dan media dikategorikan sangat valid; (2) siswa memberikan respon sangat baik; (3) e-LKPD dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini juga menyarankan bahwa ditemukan beberapa kendala saat menggunakan aplikasi tersebut, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengembangan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

The issue of creative thinking encompasses various contexts, including those about Adversity Quotient students, necessitating further elucidation of the problem to ascertain students' metacognitive levels. This research constitutes a qualitative descriptive exploratory study aimed at delineating the creative thinking process of students, with a focus on students' Adversity Quotient and metacognition levels, as examined through the lens of information processing theories. The study participants were 29 students from the 11th grade of SMA. The research methodology involved administering tests to students, with subsequent analysis of the results utilizing the exploratory descriptive method, wherein the researcher categorized students based on their Adversity Quotient and metacognition levels. Data collection in this study employed instruments in the form of open-ended questions and interview guidelines. Initial test results revealed that seven students could provide comprehensive answers to the questions, nine offered partial responses, and 13 did not respond. Further analysis of the test results indicated that one subject classified as the "climbers" type exhibited the reflective use level of metacognition, one subject of the "campers" type demonstrated the semi-reflective use level of metacognition, and one subject of the "quitters" type displayed the tacit use level of metacognition.

Abstract

The background to the implementation of the Community Service Program was the difficulties teachers and prospective math teachers in East Flores City had in designing and managing interactive learning online. So, the main purpose of this service is to increase the competence of teachers and prospective teachers according to the needs of the target community. The dedication stage consists of (1) the Preparation Stage; (2) the Implementation Stage, and; (3) the Practice, Monitoring, and Evaluation Stage. All stages of the service are carried out in the period 1-30 August 2021. The implementation stage of the service is carried out through the webinar method and the implementation of interactive learning designs using the Quizizz and Mentimeter platforms. The target community is 20 people. The Service Team consists of 3 students and one supervisor. One mathematics education expert from Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) was involved in the implementation stage. Based on the Practice, Monitoring, and Evaluation Stages, it is known that all participants have implemented the webinar material, and more than 85% of participants stated that this service program was very useful and increased competency in designing and managing interactive learning online. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of community service has achieved the stated goals.
