Abstract

Cultural aspects and Maslow needs has been considered on product development process. There is also has indication of product selection mutation based on Maslow needs ability. Based on these conditions, formulation of successful product development strategy in the future need to consider cultural aspects. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine mathematical model of products four-wheeled vehicles and to predict success. Stages of research include developing mathematical models, the validation process models and best model selection. The results of a mathematical model based on market share indicates that the component must-be inversely proportional to the success of the product, while the components of one-dimentional and attractive is directly proportional to the success of the product. The calculation result that Kano generate mathematical equations require further research. These research expected can determine the success of the model with the parameters of the success product in addition to market share.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSampah organik saat ini jumlahnya mencapai 60% dari produksi sampah setiap harinya. Di Kota Semarang, terutama di Kelurahan Kalipancur yang memiliki kepedulian tinggi terhadap permasalahan lingkungan dan memiliki kesiapan di segala aspek, menjadi objek penelitian ini yang juga merupakan lokasi usaha NRC. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui persebaran potensi supplier sampah di Kelurahan Kalipancur dan merancang jaringan rantai pasok dari supplier sampah sampai ke end customer untuk peningkatan kapasitas produksi NRC. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan Solver dan metode Least Cost, diputuskan bahwa NRC meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dari 1 workshop menjadi 3 workshop sehingga total demand pakan ternak dalam sebulan yaitu 28675 kg terpenuhi dan kapasitas produksi masih tersisa 7205 kg sampah pada workshop 1. Jaringan rantai pasok NRC ini kemudian disimulasikan menggunakan ARENA untuk validasi jaringan rantai pasok yang terpilih.

Abstract

Semarang city has the amount of waste that piled up in the Landfill as much as 850 tons/day with the amount of unmanaged waste as is 100 tons/day. This phenomenon needs to be identified and evaluated for the flow of waste disposal from upstream to downstream. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the flow of the waste supply chain and simulate it to determine the performance of waste handling in an area. The research method begins with a supply chain questionnaire which will then be statistically tested to be used as input for supply chain flow generation and simulation using Arena software. Based on the identification of the supply chain, the flow of the waste supply chain in the Wonosari area of Semarang is from households to the garbage dump to be taken to the landfill as far as 10 km. From the landfill, it is further processed into a selling value product. In this study, waste from the landfill is also the input material for the paving block production workshop (WPBP FT) at the Faculty of Engineering, Dian Nuswantoro University. Plastic waste will be used as a mixed material for making paving blocks. The supply chain simulation results using Arena show that the performance is good.

Abstract

Intisari— Makanan ringan merupakan suatu santapan untuk menghilangkan rasa lapar seseorang hanya sementara waktu saja, selain itu makanan ringan juga dapat memberikan sedikit pasokan energi pada tubuh dan dapat dinikmati rasanya. UKM Berkah Polaman yang beralamat di Desa Polaman RT 01 / RW 02 Kecamatan Mijen Kota Semarang menjadi salah satu UKM yang bergerak di bidang kuliner yang memproduksi berbagai macam makanan ringan. Namun, terdapat kendala pada proses pengemasan makanan ringan yang proses pengemasannya dilakukan dengan sikap kerja duduk di lantai dimana hal tersebut sangat melelahkan jika dilakukan secara terus-menerus. Telah dilakukan pengolahan data skor Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) awal, dengan hasil skor yang diperoleh adalah 7 yang berarti resiko cedera pada postur tubuh termasuk kedalam resiko medium, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan peninjauan lebih lanjut serta segera melakukan evaluasi perubahan. Oleh karena itu, permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kebutuhan meja pengemasan makanan ringan dan perancangan meja pengemasan makanan ringan untuk mengurangi waktu siklus dan meminimalisir resiko cedera pada proses produksi dengan menggunakan metode Rasional. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh adalah: nilai skor Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) dari nilai skor awal adalah 7 menjadi 2 yang berarti posisi tubuh memiliki tingkat resiko yang rendah namun masih dapat disempurnakan dan perbaiki lagi; waktu siklus pengemasan makanan menjadi lebih singkat dengan waktu awal 29,16 detik menjadi hanya 12.5 detik; dan jumlah produksi yang awalnya 62 bungkus/hari menjadi 144 bungkus/hari. Abstract— Snacks are a meal to get rid of one's hunger for only a while, besides that snacks can also provide a little supply of energy to the body and can be enjoyed by the taste. UKM Berkah Polaman, which is located at Polaman Village, RT 01 / RW 02, Mijen District, Semarang City, is one of the SMEs engaged in the culinary field that produces various kinds of snacks. However, there are obstacles in the snack packaging process, where the packaging process is carried out with a sitting attitude on the floor where it is very tiring if done continuously. The initial Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) score data processing has been carried out, with the result that the score obtained is 7, which means that the risk of injury to body posture is a medium risk, therefore it is necessary to conduct further review and immediately evaluate changes. Therefore, the problem studied in this study is the analysis of the need for snack packaging tables and the design of snack packaging tables to reduce cycle times and minimize the risk of injury in the production process using the Rational method. The results of the analysis obtained are: the score of the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) from the initial score is 7 to 2, which means that body position has a low level of risk but can still be refined and improved again; food packaging cycle time is shorter with an initial time of 29.16 seconds to only 12.5 seconds; and the number of production from 62 packs/day to 144 packs/day.

Abstract

Salah satu proses dalam produksi kerupuk yang memerlukan pengembangan yaitu proses pengeringan yang masih konvensional dengan pengeringan di tempat terbuka yang bergantung dari sinar matahari. Dalam pengeringan konvensional terdapat beberapa permasalahan yaitu panas yang fluktuatif, kebersihan yang tidak terjaga, memerlukan tempat yang cukup luas dan pada saat musim hujan proses pengeringan kerupuk terhenti.   Dari permasalahan proses pengeringan yang ada saat ini, tujuan penelitian ini merancang alat pengeringan kerupuk yang tidak bergantung pada panas cahaya matahari, lebih hemat dalam penggunaan energi, lebih besar kapasitasnya, alat lebih ergonomis, pengguna tidak terpapar langsung dengan sinar matahari serta tidak mudah menimbulkan kelelahan. Dengan perkembangan teknologi, menuntut adanya inovasi untuk menciptakan alat pengering kerupuk sebagai pengganti pengeringan secara konvensional. Alat pengering kerupuk “Smart Fuse Water Dryer “ menggunakan microcontroller sebagai pengontrol dalam proses pengeringan, yaitu mengontrol suhu dan lama waktu proses pengeringan secara elektronik dan automatic. Hal ini akan lebih mudah untuk mengeringkan kerupuk tanpa harus menunggu cuaca panas. Perbandingan kinerja alat “Smart Fuse Water Dryer” hasil pengeringan selama 4 jam sedangkan menggunakan alat konvesional selama 8 jam. Dari segi sistem menggunakan alat ini sistemnya otomatis sedangkan yang konvensional secara manual. Dari segi posturk  kerja dengan REBA dengan menggunakan alat skor nya 4 sedangkan yang konvensional skornya 9 yang artinya perlu segera diperbaikan. Dari segi lahan pengeringan yang semula membutuhkan 600 x 1000 cm sekarang hanya memerlukan 95 x 100 cm. Dari segi peningkatan ouput dengan menggunakan alat menghasilkan 70 kg sedangkan yang konvensional menghasilkan 35 Kg.

Abstract

This research aimed to explain how the Problem-Based Learning Method improved the reading comprehension of XI MIPA 5 students at the SMAN 1 Badegan and to indentify what aspects of reading learning can be improved. The researcher used classroom action research. This research had 2 cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In this research, the researcher used 3 instruments: observations, questionnaires, and tests to measure student achievement and to know student responses after implementation of Problem-Based Learning in reading comprehension. The result of the study showed that students reading comprehension was improved. This was proven by the result of test which improved from 7% in cycle 1 to 100% in cycle 2. Then, the the result of the questionnaires which improved from 78% in cycle 1 to 98% in cycle 2. Furthermore, this study was also proven by the result of observation which improved from 65% in cycle 1 to 95% in cycle 2. Based on finding data from 3 instruments, the researcher concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning method was successful to improve students’ reading comprehension at X MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 1 Badegan in academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

In this modern era, simulation software such as Arena has become a valuable tool for designing, optimizing, and analyzing the flow of supply chains efficiently. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the flow of waste supply chains using Arena software. The second objective is to analyze the behavior of the people of Semarang city regarding organic waste processing using a macroergonomics approach. This study employs a simulation approach by utilizing Arena software to model the flow of waste supply chains from collection, sorting, processing, to final disposal stages. Using Arena software, simulation results can be measured and objectively analyzed, serving as a basis for identifying improvements and enhancements in the waste supply chain. To manage organic waste in an area it is necessary to involve cognitive, psychological, organizational and environmental aspects. The strategy for managing organic waste in urban areas such as the Semarang area is to manage and ensure that organic waste has added value and sales value.

Abstract

National Waste Management Information System shows that the amount of waste handled in Semarang City over the last three years has decreased with an average decline index of 1.06% per year. This is reinforced by the results of interviews with the Semarang City Environmental Service, that the handling of organic waste is still very limited because so far the handling has been more focused on an-organic waste. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate supply chain performance to determine the constraints in organic waste management from upstream to downstream. Based on the research results using the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) method through a focus group discussion process involving eight experts in the field of waste management, it is known that the supply chain performance for handling organic waste in Semarang City has 11 elements of constraints, which are divided into seven priority levels. The element with the highest priority is related to the availability of organic waste supplies, while the element with the lowest priority is technological innovation and the application of appropriate technology. Improving the performance of organic waste management supply chains should focus on elements according to priority.

Abstract

There is culturally plural happens in nowadays life context in many ethnicities, in the same space. This cultural diversity leads to different communication and attitude in social society.  The difference between the two cultures, the bigger between two cultures exist, the bigger challenge to adapt. Previous research stated that Indonesia is one Hofstede cultural group. But based on its location, Indonesia has various ethnic and historical sites. By seeing all of them, this paper has aimed to measure, to classify, and to do mapping on Indonesian cultural dimension characteristics. It has some of research steps by considering culture, management, and clustering of Indonesian cultural dimensions. The measurement using Hofstede was conducted to on 805 respondents, analyzed by using principal component analysis and been clustered by using principal component analysis and clustered using the agglomeration hierarchy clustering method. Respondents were coming from Indonesian native live in Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Kupang and Ambon. The result showed that Indonesian culture could be categorized into 4 cluster groups; furthermore, it can be classified into 2 dimensions: intrinsic characteristics (1); environmental and future characteristics (2). The dimension of intrinsic characteristics consists of the power distance index (PDI), collectivism (COLL), and masculinity (MAS).   At the same time, the dimension of environmental and future characteristics consists of uncertainty avoidance (UAI) and long-term orientation (LTO). The result of this study is a cultural mapping in Indonesian society that a potentially contribute to developing cultural pattern in smart cities.
