Abstract

Berdasarkan Dinas Kesehatan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta tahun 2019, prevalensi status gizi sangat pendek dan pendek di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta tahun 2018, Kota Yogyakarta masuk urutan ketiga setelah Gunungkidul dan Kulon Progo, yaitu 14,42%. Stunting (kerdil) diukur dengan panjang atau tinggi badan yang lebih dari minus dua standar deviasi median standar pertumbuhan anak. Pencegahan stunting perlu dilakukan sejak dini, yaitu sejak hari-hari pertama 1000 harinya yaitu semenjak masih di dalam kandungan. Pencegahan stunting tidak lagi hanya berfokus pada anak, akan tetapi juga berfokus kepada ibu saat masih mengandung, maupun saat mengasuh anaknya. Tujuan kegiatan ini mencegah stunting melalui pendekatan kepada masyarakat, khususnya ibu dan kader, melalui edukasi tentang pencegahan stunting melalui deteksi dini, nutrisi serta pola asuh. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat  dengan sasaran kader dan ibu di Kalurahan Suryatmajan, Yogyakarta dilakukan 2 tahap yaitu tahap persiapan dan tahap pelaksanaan. Tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan pre-test, lalu pemberian edukasi dilanjutkan dengan post-test. Setelah pemberian edukasi pada kader dan ibu sebanyak 33 orang, terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran pada kader dan ibu di Kalurahan Suryatmajan, Yogyakarta tentang deteksi dini dan pencegahan stunting.

Abstract

Anxiety experienced by children who will be circumcised is an anticipatory response to new experiences that are considered a threat in themselves. Strategies are needed to reduce anxiety and the impact of trauma on anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of puzzle games using gadgets on the anxiety level of children who will be circumcised at the Jogja Circumcision House RH Medika Yogyakarta. The method used is a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest group design. The sampling technique used is quota sampling as much as 30. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study. The level of anxiety before the puzzle game using gadgets was mostly in the moderate category (76.7%) and after in the mild category (66.7%). The Wilcoxon test results obtained a p value of 0.000 (P value <0.05), which means that there is an influence of puzzle games using gadgets on the anxiety level of children who will be circumcised at the Jogja Circumcision House RH Medika Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Background: Motivation is a condition that activates a person's behavior. The preliminary study found that there were six students in one class who had not received the Covid-19 vaccination. The school has carried out vaccinations, but there are still some who have not been vaccinated because during an interview with one of the students he said he did not vaccinate because he was afraid of being injected and also followed his friend who had not had the Covid-19 vaccine.Objective: to determine the relationship between peer support and the motivation for the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination in adolescents at Taman Dewasa Jetis Middle School, Slemam, Yogyakarta.Method: The study design used a quantitative - correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The population is 230 people, the sampling technique is stratified random sampling. The number of samples is 49 respondents with a measuring instrument in the form of a questionnaire and using Spearman rank analysis.Finding: Spearman rank test results obtained p-value 0.419 (> 0.05). The results of the analysis test show that the p-value is greater than alpha.Conclusion: There is no relationship between peer support and the motivation for the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination in adolescents at Taman Dewasa Jetis Middle School, Slemam, Yogyakarta.

Abstract

An introduction Hospitalization is a condition that requires children to stay in the hospital, causing anxiety.One of play therapies is block building, which is useful for improving creativity and cognitive abilities, and recognizing colors and shapes. Objective: This research aims to know the effect of block-building play therapy on anxiety of preschoolers hospitalized in Galilea 3 Children Room of Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta. Method: This was quantitative research with quasi-experiment one group pre-posttest design. The sample was 30 children hospitalized from March 25 – May 8, 202,2 taken with consecutive sampling technique, the instrument was VAS-A questionnaire, analyzed with Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Results: Before therapy, 22 respondents (73.33%) experienced severe anxiety, after therapy, 17 respondents (56.6%) were not anxious. The result showedan p- value of 0.000 (p<0.05) therefore there was an effect of block-building play therapy on the anxiety of preschoolers hospitalized in Galilee 3 Children Room of Bethesda Hospital. Conclusion: There is an effect of block-building play therapy on anxiety of preschoolers hospitalized in Galilea 3 Children Room of Bethesda Hospital. Suggestion: Nurses can provide play therapy as an intervention to lower the anxiety of preschoolers undergoing hospitalization.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of peer education on adolescent coping strategies and self-efficacy in addressing bullying behaviors within a junior high school context. Focusing on a group of 31 randomly selected students aged 13-15 years, the research employed a pre-experimental design with pre-test and post-test assessments using the Brief Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced (Brief COPE) and the modified General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Results revealed a significant improvement in coping skills, with an increase from 23 to 28 students demonstrating effective coping after peer education. Similarly, students classified as having high self-efficacy rose from 20 to 24 following the educational intervention. The findings underscore the positive impact of peer education on adolescent coping and self-efficacy in combating bullying behavior. This study calls for further exploration of factors influencing coping strategies in addressing bullying among adolescents, aiming to enhance intervention approaches and create a supportive school environment. Highlights: Significant Improvement: Peer education demonstrates a substantial positive influence on adolescent coping strategies and self-efficacy in dealing with bullying behavior. Effective Intervention: The study highlights the effectiveness of peer-led education in fostering improved coping mechanisms and self-efficacy among adolescents facing bullying challenges. Enhancing School Environment: Findings emphasize the need to explore and develop factors that influence coping strategies, contributing to the creation of a more supportive and resilient school environment for adolescents. Abstract

Kecemasan anak pada masa hospitalisasi disebabkan oleh banyak hal, anak berada dilingkungan yang baru, berpisah dengan orang tuanya, bertemu dengan tenaga kesehatan dengan berbagai intervensi yang dilakukannya salah satunya adalah tindakan pemasangan infus. Pemasangan infus berdampak pada kecemasan yang berat pada anak prasekolah, hal tersebut akan mempengaruhi hubungan antara perawat dan anak prasekolah selama proses hospitalisasi. Sesuai dengan berkembangnya kemampuan kognitif dan motorik anak prasekolah upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengurangi kecemasan anak prasekolah saat dilakukan tindakan pemasangan infus adalah dengan terapi relaksasi yang salah satu bentuknya adalah terapi seni melalui sponge art paint. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh terapi sponge art paint pada anak prasekolah sebelum pemasangan infus di RS Panti Wilasa Citarum Semarang. Metode penelitian kuantitatif Quasy Eksperimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design, dengan menggunakan total sampling dengan 40 responden. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik Mann-Whitney U-Test. Hasil uji Analisis penelitian didapatkan nilai p value 0,000 (p<0,05) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan bermakna nilai rata-rata tingkat kecemasan anak prasekolah sebelum pemasangan infus antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok intervensi. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan adanya pengaruh terapi sponge art paint terhadap kecemasan anak prasekolah sebelum pemasangan infus di RS Panti Wilasa Citarum Semarang. Penelitian terapi sponge art paint diharapkan mampu menjadi inspirasi peneliti keperawatan untuk melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut, untuk mengembangkan teori-teori keperawatan khususnya terapi sponge art paint untuk mengurangi kecemasan.

Abstract

Gawat merupakan kondisi yang mengancam nyawa sedangkan darurat berarti kondisi yang perlu penanganan segera untuk menghilangkan ancaman nyawa korban. Kondisi gawat darurat tidak hanya terjadi di tempat-tempat yang ramai tetapi juga dalam lingkungan pemukiman warga atau perumahan warga. Urgensi dari permasalahan kegawatdaruratan pada anak dapat menyebabkan kematian, sangat perlu untuk dilakukan edukasi terkait penanganan kegawatdaruratan pada anak. Kegiatan ini sebagai salah satu upaya penanganan dan mengurangi mortalitas kasus kegawatdadruratan pada anak yang meliputi kasus tersedak, kasus luka bakar, dan demam harus diperhatikan dari berbagai aspek karena pada proses perawatannya membutuhkan biaya pengobatan yang sangat banyak, perawatan yang lama, hingga operasi berulang kali. Sekalipun dapat pulih, bisa saja menimbulkan kecacatan yang menetap seumur hidup bahkan kematian. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan melaui tahapan pre-test, pelatihan, dan post-test serta evaluasi. Pre-test dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada ibu-ibu. Pelatihan dibagi menjadi 2 tahap yaitu tahap 1 penyampaian materi tentang penanganan kegawatdaruratan anak menggunakan media power point, dan tahap ke-2 demonstrasi menggunakan alat peraga (pantom bayi, handuk, thermometer). Post-test dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner yang sama dengan pre-test kepada ibu-ibu. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan selama 2x evaluasi, bekerjasama dengan kader dan grup pelatihan untuk melakukan observasi secara berkala dalam kemampuan memahami dan mengingatkan prosedur penanganan kegawatdaruratan tersebut. Kegiatan pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan ibu sebesar 3,5 dari skor rerata sebelum pelatihan 4,25 menjadi 7,75 setelah pelatihan. Kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan kemampuan ibu dalam mengatasi serta lebih dapat mandiri dalam melakukan penanganan kegawatdaruratan dirumah, khususnya kegawatdaruratan pada anak.

Abstract

Tujuan: Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) adalah penggunaan permainan internet yang berulang dan persisten serta mengarah pada gangguan klinis yang signifikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mencari gambaran kejadian IGD pada mahasiswa di masa pandemi covid 19. Metode: Desain deskriptif analitik menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional dengan menyebarkan kuesioner secara online melalui google form kepada mahasiswa yang berusia kurang dari 26 tahun. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Bethesda Yakkum Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dimulai pada tangal 5 – 9 September 2020. Untuk pemilihan sampel diambil secara acak sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan oleh peneliti. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar responden adalah perempuan sebanyak 81 orang (83,51%) dan jumlah permainan yang dimainkan paling banyak adalah 1 jenis yaitu sebanyak 76 orang (78,35%). Durasi bermain game sebagian besar adalah 1 jam sebanyak 75 orang (77,33%) dan sebagian kecil bermain game selama 3 jam sebanyak 3 orang (3,09%). Responden sebagian besar tinggal bersama dengan orang tua sebesar 59 orang (60,83%). Kejadian IGD sebagian besar dalam kategori bukan Internet Gaming Disorder sebanyak 77 orang (79,38%) dan terdapat 20 orang (20,62%) responden berada dalam kategori Internet Gaming Disorder. Simpulan: Sebagian besar responden (79,38%) tidak termasuk dalam kategori Internet Gaming Disorder

Abstract

Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a motor disability, which is accompanied by characteristics of cognitive impairment, communication deficits, muscle rigidity, dysphagia and other sensory system problems. The prevalence of CP worldwide was 2,11 per 1000 live births, while in Indonesia based on 2010 data the incidence was 0,9 per 1000 live births. Difficulties often experienced by children with CP are routine activities including bathing, eating, wearing and taking off clothes and other physical activities. The aims of education for children with CP is to increase children’s independence in functional performance so that they are able to carry out daily activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education using digital animation on the independence of children with CP in self-care grooming. This research is aquasi-experimental study with pre test post test design without control, sampling method is a total population of 13 CP childrens and analysis using wilcoxon test. The result showed that the self-care grooming independence average before the intervention was 32,38±13,06 and after the intervention was 33,07±12,13 so that the mean difference was 0,69. The wilcoxon test result obtain p value 0,351, so there is no significant difference in the value of children’s independence in doing self-care grooming through digital animation education.

Abstract

Babies with Low Birth Weight (LBW) are at risk of various health problems in the early stages of birth. Environmental conditions outside the womb cause stressors and affect their physiological functions, and environments with strong lighting can reduce the baby's adaptation process. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of low-intensity light intervention on the breathing frequency and oxygen saturation of LBW infants in the NICU room of Bethesda Hospital, Yogyakarta. The research design used a quasi experiment in one group with pre and post test designs. The total sample was determined using the quota method in March-September 2020, and a total of 20 respondents. Data collection by measuring respiratory frequency and oxygen saturation, before and after giving 10 lux low intensity light. After intervention with low intensity light, respiratory rate was 42.9x/minute, and oxygen saturation was 95.7%. Statistical test results on both variables with a p value <0.05. Low light intensity of 10 lux is statistically associated with decreased respiratory rate and increased oxygen saturation in infants with low birth weight.
