Abstract

This study aims to design a comprehensive information system strategy for PT Jasamarga Tollroad Operator (JMTO) to enhance operational efficiency, optimize application usage, and support the transition from human-based to technology-based business processes. The research identifies key technology needs within the company through internal and external analyses, including SWOT, Value Chain, and McFarlan’s quadrant. The findings suggest that PT JMTO’s current IT infrastructure and application development processes require improvement to align with long-term business objectives. Using thematic analysis, the study recommends strategies for improving IT governance, data integration, and the development of applications that support operational sustainability. The proposed strategic plan highlights the importance of aligning information system strategies with JMTO’s corporate goals, advocating for better utilization of technology, and providing actionable steps for implementing a more efficient and sustainable IT framework. The implications of this research are significant for PT JMTO as it seeks to modernize its operations, improve service quality, and strengthen its position in the toll road industry. The study also contributes to the field of strategic information systems planning by addressing the challenges of technology adoption in the toll road sector. For future research, examining the effectiveness of these strategies post-implementation and exploring additional external factors impacting digital transformation could provide valuable insights for broader applications in the transportation sector.

Abstract

Accurate nucleus segmentation is vital for automated cervical cancer diagnosis, yet it remains challenging due to overlapping cells and uneven lighting. This study evaluates Polynomial Contrast Enhancement (PCE) using a second-degree polynomial function to improve segmentation on 100 images from the RepomedUNM dataset. The pipeline integrates grayscale conversion, Gaussian blur, and PCE prior to Canny edge detection. Results demonstrate near-perfect Precision (0.9999–1.0000) across all categories (Normal, H-SIL, L-SIL, and Koilocyt), effectively eliminating false positives. However, Recall and Accuracy remained low (max 0.0634 in H-SIL), a technical consequence of Canny’s limitation in capturing thin boundaries versus solid nuclear areas. The study’s novelty lies in the application of second-degree PCE to stabilize intensity variations across multiple diagnostic categories. While PCE ensures exceptional localization precision, future systems should integrate deep learning to enhance recall in complex overlapping structures.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a role-based cybersecurity training syllabus forVenture Capital (VC) firms using the CIS Critical Security Controls v8.1 (Implementation Group1) and an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach grounded in a cybersecurity-adapted TrainingNeeds Assessment (TNA) framework. A mixed-method design was employed. In the qualitativephase, interviews with IT personnel and senior management were conducted to identify dominantcybersecurity risks in VC environments. In the quantitative phase, a structured survey wasdistributed to VC employees to assess the relevance, clarity, and applicability of the proposedsyllabus. Content validity was evaluated through expert judgment using the Content Validity Ratio(CVR), while employee acceptance and internal consistency were examined using Cronbach’sAlpha. The results show that the most critical risks in VC firms are low security awareness, phishingthreats, and compliance-related vulnerabilities. Three CIS IG1 controls—Security AwarenessTraining, Malware Defenses, and Incident Response Management—were prioritized as corecontent. The final syllabus integrates these controls into role-specific learning outcomes andassessment strategies aligned with OBE principles. Validation results indicate strong expertagreement and high employee acceptance, supporting the syllabus as relevant, understandable, andsuitable for implementation in VC firms.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has increased young children's interaction with digital devices while simultaneously exposing them to greater risks related to personal data misuse and digital privacy. This condition highlights the importance of introducing personal data protection from an early age by involving teachers as key facilitators of digital literacy in early childhood education. This community service program aimed to enhance teachers' and young children's understanding of personal data protection as part of strengthening digital literacy. The program was implemented at TK Sarah Shabrina, Bandung, involving 12 kindergarten students and 3 teachers. The educational activities employed an interactive learning approach consisting of storytelling, educational posters, safe and unsafe behavior identification games, coloring activities, and a scenario-based pictorial assessment. Program evaluation was conducted through teacher interviews, learning recall sessions, and pictorial assessments for students. The findings indicated that teachers demonstrated a better understanding of personal data protection and expressed their commitment to integrating the topic into classroom learning. Meanwhile, all participating children achieved either good or excellent levels of understanding, with 66.7% categorized as excellent and 33.3% as good in identifying safe and unsafe behaviors related to personal data protection. In addition, the program produced educational media and a pictorial assessment instrument that can be sustainably utilized by the school. These findings suggest that contextual, participatory, and developmentally appropriate learning approaches are effective in strengthening digital literacy and fostering awareness of personal data protection among young children.
