Abstract

This research was aimed to analyze: behavior of farmers on chemical pesticides use in chilli crop farming, factors that influence the behavior of farmers in the use of chemical pesticides, and performance of chemical pesticides use by the chilli crops farmers. This research was conducted in Pekon Gisting Atas, Gisting District, Tanggamus Regency. Location of this research was chosen intentionally with the consideration that Pekon Gisting Atas has a number of chilli crop farmers and the circulation of chemical pesticides is more than in other pekon. Census method was used, and there were 33 chilli crop farmers as the research respondents. This research was conducted from October 2012 to May 2013. The methods used in this research were methods of case and direct observation. Descriptive and path analyses were used to analyze data. The results showed that behavior of farmers in the use of chemical pesticides in Pekon Gisting Atas was classified good enough. Factors that influenced the behavior of farmers in the use of pesticides were the farming experience, attitude, and farmers’ household income. The performance of chemical pesticide used by chilli crop farmers was as follows: insecticide, fungicide, bactericide, and herbicide was the types of pesticides widely used to control chilli plant pests and diseases; chemical pesticides was sprayed by farmers on scheduled time regardless of the presence or absence of pests and diseases.Key word: behavior of farmers, chilli, path analysis, pesticides, variability

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to analyze the procurement process of raw materials on six precision (on time, right place, right quality, right quantity, right type, and right price), processing activities to earn income and create added value of products, distribution channels in product marketing activities, the roles of supporting services, and consumer behavior of wheat flour and wet noodle. This research uses a case study method at Multi Sari 99 Agroindustry in Panjang District, Bandar Lampung City. Data were collected in January – April 2018 and analyzed descriptively using quantitative and qualitative analyses. The results of this research showed that the six components of raw materials procurement process of Multi Sari 99 Agroindustry had been done precisely. The income earned by Multi Sari 99 Agroindustry was Rp2,009,349.54/100 kg wheat flour. Mi Basah Multi Sari 99 Agroindustry was considered viable since it had possitive added value and profitable as R/C ratio value was more than one. There were two channels in marketing activities of wet noodle product. Supporting services utilized by the agroindustry had given positive impacts toward agroindustry activities. Wheat flour consumers and wet noodles consumers did not understand about food diversification program. Consumers would still consume wet noodles even though they know that the raw materials are imported.Key words : agroindustry, consumer, performance, wet noodle

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze cooperative’s performance as a business entity, performance related to development, performance towards the interests of cooperative members, as well as economic and non-economic benefits received by members. This research was conducted at KUD Mina Dermaga using a case study method, the location was selected purposively with the consideration that the cooperative has not yet been ranked by researchers or local agencies. Responses stating that 30 people members. This research uses descriptive quantitative data analysis, customer satisfaction index analysis, and importance performance analysis. The results of this study indicate that the performance of business entities and performance related to the development of KUD Mina Dermaga are included in the qualified category. The performance of KUD Mina Dermaga in the interests of its members is of sufficient quality category. The economic benefits received by members are the difference in the cost of buying and selling services . The total annual average economic benefits received by KUD Mina Dermaga members are IDR 508,358.26. The non-economic benefits members on service performance and meeting the needs of members are in the high category (satisfied).Keyword : KUD, member satisfaction, performance

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze the economic feasibility of cocoa farming and market of cocoa.  This research is conducted in two cocoa production centers of South Lampung Regency, Merbau Mataram and Way Panji sub districts.  This research is conducted by survey method.  The first goal is analyzed by investment criteria and sensitivity rate. The second goal is analyzed by marketing chain, market structure and marketing margins.  The research results showed that at 16.31% of interest rate, the 20 years lenght of intensive cultivation of cocoa farming in South Lampung Regency deserved NPV of Rp54,631,300.84; IRR 45.66%, Net B/C Ratio 8.20; Gross B/C 1.84 and PP 5.42.  The changes were the production cost increase of 6.51%, the production quantity decrease of 6.74% and the production price decrease of 18.85%, but the farm was still in the state of intensive cocoa feasible and profitable.  There are two marketing chain in South Lampung Regency, the market structure was oligopsonistic market with the distribution of ratio profit margin (RPM) was uneven.Key words: cocoa, economic, feasible, marketing

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the efficiency of clove marketing system in Pesisir Barat Regency. The research data was collected in Karya Penggawa and Pesisir Utara Subdistrict of Pesisir Barat Regency in January – February 2017. This location was chosen purposively. Farmer respondents were chosen randomly, while marketing channel respondents were taken by tracing marketing networks.  Data consisted of primary and secondary data.  Data analysis included analysis of marketing system efficiency.  The results showed that the marketing system of clove in Pesisir Barat Regency was inefficient with producer share (PS) 96.51%, with the following conditions as followed. The market structure was in imperfect competition (oligopsoni), clove farmers had no difficulty in marketing their product and  there was one marketing channel in the market performance.  Marketing margin was Rp3.157,46/kg and Ratio Profit Margin (RPM) 0.93%.Key words: clove, efficiency, marketing system

Abstract

The aims of this research are to determine the satisfaction, and loyalty of consumers to Raja Sereh Bananaand Cavendish Banana products in Bandar Lampung City. The research is conducted in June to July 2018.The samples are consumers of Raja Sereh Banana and Cavendish Banana that are recruited byaccidentalsampling. The number of consumer respondents are 80 people, divided by 40 respondent of Raja SerehBanana and 40 respondent of Cavendish Banana. This research is conducted in two different locations,namely traditional market (Pasir Gintung Market) and modern market (Gelael Supermarket). The researchdata is analyzed by descriptive analysis, namely Consumer Satisfaction Index Analysis (CSI) and LoyaltyPyramid. The results of this research showed that Raja Sereh Banana and Cavendish Banana consumerswere “satisfied” and “loyal”. Consumer satisfaction of Raja Sereh Banana was 74.66 percent and theconsumer satisfaction of Cavendish Banana consumer was 71.09 percent. The level of consumer loyalty wasclassified as a buyer who was committed with a value of 85.00 percent for Raja Sereh Banana and 90.00percent for Cavendish Banana.Key words:bananas, consumer, loyalty, satisfaction

Abstract

This study aims to determine: the decision making process on purchasing liquid yogurt, the consumer's knowledge on liquid yoghurt products, and the consumers’ attitude toward the liquid yoghurt product in Bandar Lampung. This study use survai methodin which number of respondents are 96 people who are recruited by accidental sampling method.  The data is collected using validited and reliabilited questionnaires,and analyzed by qualitative descriptive and Fishbein multiattribute model. The attributes used are price, taste variation, brand, volume, expiration information, packaging condition, nutritional content, advertisement, taste, halal label and ease of getting the product.  The result showed that decision making on purchasing liquid yogurt was done through five stages, the average level of knowledge of liquid yogurt was 93.43%, this was in the good category.  Attitude analysis showed that the attribute most favored and trusted by the consumer was halal labelin which attitude score (Ao) was 1.68Key words:  Consumer attitude, knowledge, liquid yoghurt

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to analyze factors affecting production, analyze the percentage of cassava farming income contribution to household income, and analyze the differences income of sweet cassava and bitter cassava farming. This research was conducted in March to April 2018 in Seputih Banyak, Central Lampung. The to determine production factors, the study used Cobb-Douglas production function. To determine contribution of cassava farming income to household income, the study used production analysis, while to determine income of sweet cassava and bitter cassava farming, the study used Independent Sample T-Test. The number of sample for bitter and sweet cassava were 30 respondents each chosen by non-proportional random sampling. The study indicates that the factors affecting production of bitter cassava are NPK fertilizer, urea fertilizer, SP-36 fertilizer, and harvest age, while the factors that significantly influence sweet cassava are land area and NPK fertilizer. The contribution of industrial cassava farming income to household income is 75.01%, while sweet cassava income only accounts for 6.95% of total household income. There is a significant difference between the income of sweet cassava farming and bitter cassava farming.Key words: cassava, income, production

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic benefits received by members of KGM, the contribution of cooperation economic benefits on household income of KGM members, and non-economic benefits (level of satisfaction) of the KGM members. This research was conducted in KGM, PT GMP, Central Lampung Regency.  The total samples are 75 members of KGM.  Data analysis method that used is the economic benefits of cooperative analysis, analysis of household income cooperative members, and analysis of the level of satisfaction of member cooperatives using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) analysis. The results showed that the direct economic benefits derived by KGM members each year, was on average of Rp1,689,921.00, while the indirect economic benefits by KGM Members, each year, was on average of Rp9,565,067.00.  Total economic benefits of KGM, contributing to income amounted to14.28% of members. Level of satisfaction of the members of KGM to KGM is 70.8 %, which means that members of the KGM feel satisfied with the performance of the services provided by the employee of KGM. Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the exports volume of Lampung Province’s bananas and predict the exports of Lampung Province’s bananas.  This research based on the exports of some kind of banana produced by firm and by the corporation program involving the firm and smallholder farmers.  This study used both descriptive and quantitative analysis methods and data werw obtained from the relevant authorities as secondary data for 5 years, starting from the first quarter of 2015 to the first quarter of 2020.  The data were analyzed by regress time series data using Ordinary Least Square Method (OLS) and Autoregressive Integreted Moving Average (ARIMA).  The results of this study showed that the factors that significantly affect the exports volume of Lampung Province’s bananas are domestic banana production and the average of domestic banana price index.  The trend of banana exports prospect until the end of 2024 decreases.
